What a great little grocery store! Nice selection of organic veggies plus a bulk section and specialty items that aren’t always at a supermarket. I also love that they carry a ton of Field Roast products, like veggie burgers. Need to check out their deli next time. I would definitely rather stop in here for veggies than go to Traders.

On my way back to Encino from Pasadena, I stumbled on this adorable little vegan market. Perfect! I decided to order lunch(the Castro with fries) as I did a little shopping. Honestly, that was the best veggie burger I have ever had – and trust me, I’ve had many! the burger has the perfect amount of heartiness and they even add a little spice to the condiments they use. Fries were perfectly crispy and not oily– another plus! Not only was the lunch delicious, but the homemade«goat cheese» and«crackers» were also to die for. While I am not in the area frequently, I will make sure to revisit Organix when I am in Eagle Rock!

«Yasssssssss!» Looking for a great vegan restaurant is always difficult. Often, décor and location are lacking and the food is the same old thing. Seitan and soy«meat» Thai foods, some rice and bean«Mexican» bowls, a ½ way decent veggie burger… You probably know the drill. Organix really stands above the rest in the«same old thing» category. With food served up like a deli in a whole foods, there is nothing that I’ve had there that isn’t the best in class. «Chicken» sandwich? Why use anything other than a perfectly crisped Gardein party with Frank’s Red Hot. Barbaqoa jackfruit burrito? In house prepared jackfruit and toppings makes this the best burrito i’ve had by far in a very long time. Veggies Big Mac? Absolutely. Veggie patties can often be dry, so the thought of two them in one sandwich seemed daunting, however C they make them just«Juicy» enough that it has a similar melt in your mouth feel as Mickey D’s own ball of saturated fats. On top of this, take some time while the foods coming up to do a little shopping! They have an incredible selection of vegan gourmet cheeses, you’d be stupid not to test out. Overall, you might be having a good day, but you should probably make it an Organix day.

This place is soooooooooooo good. This is my favorite vegan restaurant. It is much better than all the other vegan restaurants around town. I hope they will expand to a large restaurant one day and get a bigger customer base. THere are sooo many non-vegans that need to try this place to see how amazing vegan food can taste. The owner and cooks have great taste in food, and it all has flavor! THis place is mainly a market with tons of healthy items. Try all the alternative cheeses and alternative products to an animal based diet. it is a family business and is really well run. Try the castro burger, the barbacoa burrito, pulled pork sandwich. if you want to impress a meat eater(or trick them) get them to try the mac daddy… tastes like a mcdonalds big mac but wayyyy better and higher quality. Very impressed… good job guys.

I love Organix and had the Mac Daddy(the vegan big mac) and was thoroughly impressed. I never had bad service like some of these people, but I guess it’s just one sad guy who ruins it for everyone. so don’t let that turn you away. The service I had was great every time and the food reminded me of Doomie’s in Hollywood. They also sell a ton of great products like VeganEgg, and I like going there to support the small business instead of Amazon or Whole Foods.

Great place to grab lunch on the go as they offer lots of healthy choices including an amazing veggie quinoa bowl for $ 6 which has great veggies such as zucchini and brussell sprouts. The market itself is pricey with a small bag of to go chips running you $ 2 and most drinks hovering over $ 5. They also sell cupcakes from a local bakery at $ 4 each. The produce looks very fresh and the selection is good for it being such as a small market. I agree with other reviewers that the guy at the register has a rather dismissive disposition but thats neither here or there as I wasn’t in the mood to make friends on that day.

The mac daddy is a pretty good approximation of a vegan big mac. I wish they could find a way to make the patties stick together more. By the time you’re halfway through with the burger, it really starts to fall apart, requiring at least a fork to complete. A bit more russian sauce would be good too. Service was nice, we had 6 people and they helped us set up an extra table outside.

This isn’t a review about their food because we didn’t get to try it. It’s about the service, so I wish I could give 0 stars. For me, I don’t care how good the food is, if the service is horrible, I won’t go back, and we just happened to have a bad experience here, which I know can be hit or miss anywhere. Apparently though, after looking through the reviews, we’re not the only ones who have had terrible service here. Organix was a place I had been SO excited to try for so long, and we finally made the trip from San Diego with it high on our list. We came in at 10:30am and were told the deli opened at 11am, which we would have waited for to open if the man working at the front of the store wasn’t rude and arrogant. We walked in, nobody was there and my husband needed to use the restroom while we waited for the deli to open, but employee at the front said he couldn’t use theirs and to go across the street to Taco Bell. He was very dismissive and rude. I even told him we drove from San Diego, I was a vegan(also pregnant) and we would be purchasing food, but he rolled his eyes and ignored us. We opted for brunch at Real Food Daily instead and were incredibly happy with our choice. With so many wonderful vegan options in LA, Organix will not be missed.

Organix rules. It’s an organic, vegetarian — mostly vegan grocery store with a totally vegan deli. It’s the place to go if you are buying ingredients for a recipe from a place like Oh She Glows where you need stuff like Nutritional Yeast and Coconut Aminos and they have a great selection of fake meats and dairy-free iced creams, as well as apple cider vinegar with«the mother.» They also have a small but impressive selection of local organic vegetables. At the deIi, I regularly order the fake BLT with avocado on squaw bread — delicious. My husband loves the BBQ chicken sandwich. The deli sandwiches are priced more like deli sandwiches than vegan health food — especially if you take them to go, like $ 5-$ 6. When I do dine in I spend quite a bit on fancy potato chips and a coconut drink, but it’s all so good. I love the Boulder olive oil chips and avocado oil chips they just started selling that only have three ingredients. Usually a sandwich takes 5 – 15 minutes but if it’s a weekday lunch hour it may be good to call in advance to make sure they’re not swamped. I really wish they had pickles to go with the deli items. I would pay like $ 1 to get 3 pickle spears. I usually take my sandwich to go just so I can eat it with pickles at home. So if you’re reading this, Organix, you could get some more $ from me if you had pickles — then I’d stay more often and buy a drink and chips as well.

Jackfruit has been the hype of food trends in the last few years and Organix serves it the best! My absolute favorite sandwich at the moment is the«Puerco» or the«pulled pork» sandwich. It has slowly cooked marinated jackfruit, BBQ sauce, cabbage slaw, mayo, and pickles served on ciabatta bread. You can make it gluten-free by swapping out the ciabatta with white bread type slices. Both options are delicious. The street dog, carne asada fries, and barbacoa burrito are also good choices. There is a special Thanksgiving sandwich offering at the moment that hits home! A hearty meal of «chicken», mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, stuffing, veggies, all between two buns. I have had the mac daddy and although I appreciate the house-made veggie patties, I prefer Doomie’s vegan big mac. Did I mention the deli is all vegan? Bonus! The only downside(forewarned on website) is that this place is not big enough to house all of their eager and hungry customers during rush hour. They have two picnic tables inside and two small tables outside. There are no public restrooms. There is a bit of a wait, 20 minutes or so, but it is so worth it. The deli is only open from 11:00 am to 5:45 pm. Often times, you will find the super cool owner, Andrew, behind the register. He has created a great market & deli concept that I hope to see expand soon so that more people will have access to delicious and healthy food. His sister is the chef! Young and innovative minds behind Organix. I love to see family or small businesses grow. The grocery store itself has a lot of unique offerings, vegan and non-vegan. Some items cannot be easily found elsewhere such as Nada Moo vegan ice cream or Follow Your Heart’s vegan scrambled eggs. Whole Foods doesn’t even carry these yet! Some items are in test phase and get rotated out so get them before it’s gone! They also carry Whisk Gluten Free bakery cupcakes, Shugah Mama cookies, and other delectable treats. This is a great place to stop by before a Dodger’s game, it’s only 15 minutes away. I like to load up on goodies and street dogs before I head over to the stadium.

Healthy and Large portions to this small yet comfortable restaurant. Good for Vegetarian, Vegan, and plant based eaters. The food is freshly made, so can take some time to be delivered. Seating is small and limited. It is a grocery store and small restaurant in one. Friendly service.

I’ve had my share of BBQ jackfruit. Which is why I was so surprised by the deliciousness that is the Puerco(Pull Pork) Sandwich. The BBQ sauce itself was smoky and sweet and the portion of yummy tender jackfruit was significant. But what stood out to me was the slaw and veganaise that added a layer of flavor unlike other BBQ jackfruit dishes I’ve had. It’s definitely one of those sandwiches that I will ALWAYS stop for if I’m ever in the area. Heck, for a sandwich this good, I might look for excuses to be in the area! Organix is a cute market. You can get quite a bit of grocery shopping done here including pantry items, refrigerated & frozen foods, beverages, baked goods, bulk bins items and produce. It seems that many and most items are vegan which is always a plus for me. I purchased some cookies, a few bottles of kombucha, and Field Roast Chao Slices vegan cheese. The deli is ALL vegan which makes me even happier! Although I would recommend calling in with an order because it can take a while. I’m thankful that when I was taking a peek at the menu, the guy at the register suggested that I get my order in as soon as possible because it can take up to 20 minutes for my order to be ready. No worries, I was still browsing the store for other yummy things to buy. FYI, menus are located by the cash register which is the same place that you order for the deli. There are also a couple tables inside if you choose to eat in. Another thing that caught my eye… Those are gluten free vegan cupcakes by Whisk Gluten-Free Bakery and it is AMAZING! There wasn’t any labels for the flavors but a quick search on their website led me to the menu and I was able to guess that this was the PB& J cupcake. I was right… :) FYI, you can get a small to-go box from the nice guy at the register for those yummy cupcakes. As much as I loved the Puerco Sandwich, I see many more yummy things on the menu that I’d like to check out. But so far I’ve experienced great vegan food and friendly staff. 5-stars! :)
