Finally a place in Chinatown to get Korean fast food. Located near the out skirts of Chinatown where the new jia apartment complex is at. I ordered the bibimbab($ 8) with kimchi fried rice and bean paste sauce(because they ran out of their bibimbab sauce. Boo!!) As per ushe of a bibimbab, my dish came with a bunch of cold veggies; carrots, cucumber, pickled radish. It also had ¼ of an egg and some mushrooms to top it off. The food was honestly just OK. I feel like they put too much sesame seed oil on the veggies… It was soooooo greasy. My lips hated me after eating here. The kimchi fried rice didn’t even taste like kimchi but I mean it was OK too. It could use more kimchi in it. They also charge extra for side dishes(banchan). It’s $ 1.50 for 2 sides. My bf and I got mushrooms and pickled spicy cucumbers. Both were very good but my favorite would have to be the mushrooms. Interior of this place feels clean & roomy + plenty of seating available.

Have been here a few times but the last 2 times the bulgogi was extremely fatty. Also when I asked for a water there were black particles floating in there. I really like how they package everything separately and their veggies and rice but with bad meat and particles in the water, the place will not get return business from me.

Located on the first floor of jia apartments by the Chinatown dragon gates. Parking is available within the apartment complex for free(for the time being). I come here almost on a weekly basis. Portions are great, and for $ 1.50 for 2 well portioned side dishes, you can’t really complain. My personal favorite is the bukgogi with the kimchi fried rice. The meat is cooked to order, and you get plenty of it. The bibimbap is very good as well. I’m not a fan of the hamburger steaks.

NOTORIETY: N/A FOOD: Bibimbap: Tasty & flavorful. Good amount of food for the price. I like all the veggies that it comes with, adding lots of variety for fast food. OVERALL: Worth trying. They allow you to choose your meat, your carb, and your sauce, which is nice.

I was very pleasantly surprised. I have this little joint a chance and ended up loving the chicken bulgogi as well as the tofu. It can be a bit bland(tofu) but with the sauce it is amazing. I will be recommending this! The sides were wonderful too

This is my first time trying Oleego and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the beef bulgogi with egg rice and my brother got the spicy pork with noodle. They were both really good! The noodles were chewy and the rice was just right. Their side dishes are pretty good and SUPER cheap. For 1.50 you get two sides, they are quite small but honestly it’s just to add variety to your main meal so I personally think it’s a great portion. Overall, I would definitely come back if I’m craving some fast Korean food!

If you go here make sure you pay with cash! The cashier charged my card, and said it didnt go through. I checked my account right there, and the payment posted. They dont educate their cashiers on refunds, she said she didnt know how to refund the money. She told me to contact the manager, when i tried they kept giving me the run around. Every time I call the manager is never there! They screwed me over and then didn’t want to refund me & it’s been 4 days & I still haven’t received a refund. They dont take responsibility. Double check your bank statements.

This place is such a great addition to Chinatown. I’d been to the DTLA location a few times and was patiently waiting for the new spot to open up. My favorite things here are the chicken bulgogi(so moist!) with kimchi fried rice(so good with just the right amount of kimchi). I go with oleego soy sauce for dunking, but the meat is so good that I don’t use much of it. The other great thing about oleego is the sides. They have a bunch of Korean sides to choose from, and you can get two for $ 1.50, definitely worth getting 2 or more! Also, the soup is fantastic, a must get. Best thing about this location is free parking, they have indoor and outdoor seating, and it’s brand new so super clean and nice.

I thought it was okay. A little confusing with their«pick this» formula. Wish they just had it listed somewhere instead of all the choices being written on the side, across, up and down… Spicy pick was super good, wish I could’ve had veggies in there that weren’t in some sugar mixture before.

Its good not great. Price is decent for the portion. However I ordered the chicken bowl and though the pieces are big and look nothing like the picture on the menu they were burned. The rice was great. seasme rice. They dont let you get half noodles and half rice which kinda sucks. Nothing amazing compared to the many options in dtla.

I can already tell that this business is not worth the time or effort. A week or so ago I went into this location and had employees continue to talk — no greeting and look bewildered that I had interrupted them with my business. I asked for food options and get shoved a menu so they can conclude their conversation. Rude! Then today, there was a ‘grand opening’ event that was partnered with the Jia Apartment building residents. The email clearly said until 8PM. Having a few errands but still wanting to check in with it. I stop by and the door is locked and employees(one of which was the ‘manager’) are chilling having a good laugh, pointing like I’m a monkey in a cage. The building isn’t full of bums, it’s working professionals and being rude is not the way to go. For the new kid on the block they’re pretty low standard with the customer service… Already. Good luck staying afloat for more than 6 months.

Park’s BBQ offered in a compact format and a reasonable price. Need I say more? Best pound for pound«LA Galbi» in a bowl. Sure it’s not wagyu but you go to Park’s flagship restaurant for that. The meat is tender and the marinate is true to Park’s popular recipe — sweet, nutty, and just out right appetizing. The bulgogi is made with sizable cuts of beef and can stand up against any bulgogi served in restaurants here in LA. Not to mention the generous portion. I’ve been visiting this Oleego location since its soft-opening and they don’t mess around. The meat is filled to the top of the bowl whether you ordered the spicy pork bulbogi or the more premium galbi. The banchan are fair and honestly a slight bargain at $ 1.50 for two dishes. True, it’s not at the same level as the ones you’d find in banchan specialty stores but it certainly it’s solid quality for eatery of this setting. it’s covers the basics namul plus japchae, which should be plenty to supplement a meal in this setting. Though it’s perhaps fair to describe Oleego as «fast-food Park’s», I want to point out that this place is far from barebone. In addition to the solid selection of protein and banchan, you get a nice selection of white, brown, and two kind of fried-rice. All in all, this is probably the best $ 12 you can spend to get a bowl of Korean BBQ in a hurry. I hope Oleego keeps this up. Thank you for bringing delicious Korean food and friendly service to Chinatown. epilogue: To the family who harassed the manager for extra gift cards for each member of their family including the ones not present and their infant child, you are a disgrace. You already received three free bowls as Oleego’s opening day promotion… Take it and go! It’s despicable how you abuse a new neighboring restaurant’s hospitality.

Crack! We are obsessed. Love the Shrimp + Noodle + Spicy Soy Sauce. I got squash and mushrooms to add. I would get the mushrooms again! I thought everything was seasoned well and tasted yummy once I mixed it all up. Def will be back :)

I really like Oleego. To me it is similar to the Chipotle set up, but with Korean food. The staff here is really friendly. At the time I went here it was very empty, which I know won’t last since the downtown location constantly has a huge line. My food came out hot and yummy. If your looking for fast and yummy then Oleego is a good choice. Don’t expect traditional style like you would get at a AYCEKBBQ spot.

If you’re looking for simple Korean food in Chinatown, this is a pretty good spot to check out. It’s fast food style. You order and pay first and you can sit anywhere you would like. The menu/ordering is a pretty simple format too. You pick your meat, rice, then your sauce. The price of the bowl depends on the meat itself. Then you have the choice of additional things such as side dishes. It’s an extra $ 1.50 for 2 sides. I ordered the bulgogi with kimchi fried rice. It’s about $ 8. The bowl and how the meat was separated from the rice was pretty cool. The meat was tasty and had a decent amount of flavor. The kimchi fried rice was okay though. I thought it was a bit dry or hard. It needs a more kimchi-like kick to it. Overall, I enjoyed it. The portions were large and quite filling. I wasn’t able to finish all of it.

My lifesavers… when they moved in under the complex where I live, was ecstatic… being a medical resident I hardly ever have time to cook… so even if Korean food wasn’t my favorite comfort food in the world(which it is), the food here is bomb. Can’t speak for the meat because I’m vegetarian but my friend had the chicken and spoke highly of it. I love both the bibimbap and tofu. Love the concept of mixing and matching and the variety of banchan(side dishes) they offer. Recommend their tofu soup too. Serving size is generous, and all the options are reasonably priced.

Yummy Korean food! I like them doing delivery service for Jia residents :). Reasonable price with large portion of food but it takes too long and their food runs out too quick so you might not have chance to get one after 8p.m.:(

I was excited that Korean restaurant was going to be in my apartment complex. The menu looked good. I figured it would be good. Unfortunately the grilled chicken was awful. No flavor and chicken did not even look like chicken. Not sure what it was. Also had the spicy beef. Thought they could not ruin that. That is my favorite Korean, but just did not taste right and did not look right. Maybe they don’t have the people to make it right. I won’t be going again.

Yes! My people food at the apartment I live in! I came during soft opening week. They are going to open until 9pm after this week. I had Oleego at Fig at 7th before so I knew what to expect. I ordered 1 bulgogi with kimchi fried rice, 1 bulgogi with white rice, and 1 spicy pork bulgogi with white rice. For sauces, I got 1 soy sauce, 1 hot sauce, and 1 spicy soy sauce. Verdict: white rice = perfect consistency, seasoned with a hint of sesame oil. Kimchi fried rice = needs more kimchi! I barely saw any. Bulgogi and spicy pork bulgogi were delicious. They gave us a lot of meat. They did not put enough soy sauce in the container so I had to ask for more. Employees were friendly, but I could tell that they were not experienced(which is okay since it is soft opening week). I will definitely come back for more! I saw a sign for«The Kroft» next door(I can’t wait!). This area is getting better and better :)
