This place is a Korean food GEM in LA. It is a bit off of Koreatown where all the hustle and bustle is but the food is undeniably good! This place is a hole-in-the-wall kind of a place but you know that means the food is going to be authentic. The food may not be the fanciest or most elegantly presented, but its cost and taste make up for it. This place has all the Korean food you would find at your a-typical Korean restaurant. I ordered shrimp-fried rice, dduk-bbok-kee, spicy squid stir fry, and cheesy spicy chicken. Order of the items I liked best: 1.) Cheesy spicy chicken: spicy marinated chicken with mozzarella cheese on top 2.) Spicy squid stir fry: great mix of sweet and spicy 3.) dduk-bbok-kee: substantial and great flavor and not too spicy 4.) Shrimp fried rice: shrimp was rather disappointing but the rice in itself was tasty The service was so good! I went with my family and as we were deciding what to get, my mom asked the waitress if we could get some soup on the side if we didn’t order anything that had soup in it(it was a rainy day). The lady kindly said yes and we all got a free small bowl of spicy red soup with our meal! The side dishes were delicious! One of the side dishes(which are all free) was a fish cutlet with a home-made tartar sauce. The sauce was amazing!!! The tartar sauce was yellow(not typical) and had a tangy flavor to it. My guess is that they added mustard and lemon to the tartar sauce. If you are in the area try it out!
