We have been purchasing jewelry from Norman Goodman’s for over 10 years, and consider Howard (the son) our personal jeweler… even though we have never met in person. It began with my engagement ring, and has expanded to, well, let’s just say I’m spoiled. ;o)
I can’t comment on the store selection, but the Goodman’s provide quality custom designs, and are great to work with. We have been recommending Howard to friends for years, and our friends have also been thrilled with the products and service.
If you are looking for something special, seriously consider Norman Goodman.

I would highly recommend Norman Goodman if you are looking for an engagement ring. The store is very small and selections are limited but if you know what type of ring and diamond you want, then Howard would be perfect because he is well connected and can find it for you. I wanted a specific band that was a brand name ring and he was able to talk to his wholesalers to get me the band for a lot cheaper than what Robin’s Brothers was charging.
A lot of Norman Goodman’s business comes from word of mouth and recommendations. I was recommended to Howard through a family friend after searching around for an engagement ring for several weeks.
A friend and I shopped around in downtown to places such as Icing on the Rings, Inta Gems, Diamonds & Jewelry, Bridal Rings Company, and Eli’s Jewlery so by the time we got to Norman Goodman’s, we already knew the kind of specs of diamond and ring we wanted. We told Howard the exact specs of diamonds we wanted and within a few days he used his supplier to show us 8 diamonds each. He was very attentive to details as he kept calling me to see what type of diamond I wanted so he tried to choose only the ones that were of good quality. Overall, I was extremely happy with my purchase and gave me a great deal compared to other stores I shopped at.
