N’Lighten Skin

I went in yesterday to get a Pumpkin Peel Facial & Eye Brow wax… I was very sceptical about the brow wax because I usually only see 1 lady and do threading… But Mellinda assured me that I was in good hands. I LOVED the way my brows cane out ! && just in time for New Years ! The facial was amazing as well… Very relaxing && great price for both ! Thank you so much Mellinda ! Can’t wait to go back !

I met Mellinda about six months ago when I was getting my hair done at Killer Hair. She was polite and kind when discussing the services she offered. I was curious about getting a facial, but I have had terrible experiences in the past. My skin is incredibly sensitive, and I had developed acne that I could not get rid of. I am so glad I gave Mellinda a chance. She really listened and never questioned me when I said a product was burning or itchy. Because she was so attentive, I have been able to get a facial once a month since my initial appointment, and my acne is now gone. She has also been most helpful in finding products I can use at home without any ill side effects. If you have sensitive skin, Mellinda is a miracle worker.

I have been a client of Mindy’s for almost 5 years now and I wouldn’t trust my waxing needs to anyone else. She is attentive and thorough and makes sure that you leave happy. Always. Even after 5 years of being her client. I frequently get compliments on my eyebrows and always attribute it to her. She loves her job and is passionate about her work which is evident in the quality of work. I would recommend anyone (male or female) to go visit Mindy for a wax.

Melinda gave me my first facial ever and is was wonderful. Very relaxing and I felt very comfortable with her. I would absolutely recommend her services to men and woman. I brought my teenage daughter to her as well and Melinda waxed her eyebrows which were out of control. The little ladies at the nail shops just don’t seem to have the same touch. Her brows are now well tamed and growing out evenly.

Melinda is absolutely amassing at what she does! I’ve been going to her for months working on my skin and it has never looked better! I really like that she uses really great products. I’ve done microdermabrasion and peals with great results!

Best facials and eye brow waxing. Never disappointed with any of Mindy’s work! As a college student I am always breaking out but with the product that she uses for her facials, my acne has subsided appreciably.
Also my eye brows always look perfectly sculpted after each wax!

I’ve got to be honest; I’ve never been the type of person that goes out of her way for a facial or an eyebrow wax. However, last week, I decided to make an appointment with Mindy at N’Lighten Skin to do just that. I was so tense from work and school, but then the service was so exceptionally relaxing and, a week later, I still feel like a supermodel. I don’t know if I can ever go back to doing my own eyebrows again (nor should I) and I will definitely be going back soon for a touch up and another deliciously scented facial.

I just had to write a Unilocal review because I have actually had several complements over this past week and it’s because I went to N’Lighten Skin last week! Not only did Mindy go out of her way to work within my time frame to give me my facial and micro abrasion, but she was skilled, conscientious and caring. She knew exactly how to personalized my treatment to address my skin type and flaws. I did not feel rushed at all like I had felt before in other places that charge twice as much as she does. She went the extra mile with use of essential oils and her neck message. I felt truly pampered and my skin looks fabulous! I hope to make regular visits to Mindy to keep up this youthful glow and the compliments coming!

Mindy is not only an amazing Esthetician who gives the most wonderful facials that I’ve ever had, but she is fantastic at waxing. Every time I am in California, I go to her.

I’m very picky when I let people touch my face. I finally gave in and let Mindy give me a deep cleansing facial. I went in feeling miserable. I left feeling, clean light and very fresh. Thank you Mindy. You are the best. I will be back for my next appointment.

I had never gotten a facial done nor knew exactly what it consisted of except that it was great for your skin. I’m a guy and had no idea what to expect. I work out and sweat alot and once in a while break out here and there. I had the amazing pleasure of having my first facial ever done with Mindy. She did a great job at welcoming me, explaining to me the process of what the facial consisted of, and explained why guys can and should get facials too! It was an amazing experience Mindy started off with some aroma therapy, began the facial and in between massaged my shoulders and neck. It was a deep relaxing experience and for someone as active as me I will definitely be coming back and need this more often (because Mindy says guys need facials too! Ha!). I go to Mellinda regularly for pretty much all of my treatments. She is amazing and I love that I can get everything done in one appointment! She does excellent facials. atmosphere is so relaxing and she uses organic products which are hard to find. I also love her waxing and organic spray tan. I always leave feeling great! Highly recommend!

Mellinda «Mindy» is such a lifesaver. After battling with adult acne for the last year or so, I had kind of given up hope, stuck with my prescription face cream, and figured that this was as good as my skin could look. I was hesitant to try another facial, as the one I had at my upscale dermatologists office was terrible! I paid $ 120 for a 25 min treatment and they sent me on my way. However, after seeing Mindy’s reviews and feeling like I needed some serious help, I decided to giver her a try.
Mindy brought me into a very soothing room, complete with relaxing music, aromatherapy, and a gentle ocean breeze. Once I got situated, she turned on the facial light and thoroughly evaluated my skin. As soon as she felt my skin she noticed it was very congested (which is SO true) but somehow seems to get overlooked by the other professionals I have seen.
She then went over the treatments she wanted to perform based on my acne, skin type, and previous information I had given her about my skin. I agreed to her recommendation and she ended up doing a custom facial, plus a microdermabrasion treatment, which was 1 hour and 20 minutes of facial heaven. There was a steam machine and masks, warm towels, a neck massage, another mask, a lovely microderm treatment, something soothing painted on after that… ahh :)
The facial was everything I was hoping for: She used very effective products that smelled heavenly, she was very thorough about every inch of my face and even noticed the breakouts I was getting on my chest, she performed extractions on my face which I desperately needed, and I really felt that she cared for my skin and the emotions that go with having acne.
Afterwards, she made some recommendations as to how to better care for my skin, but she wasn’t pushy in any way, which I really appreciate.
It has only been a week since my facial, but my skin honestly hasn’t looked this good in years. It is still peeling a bit (from the masks) but underneath is glowing, acne free skin. I am going to continue getting treatments once a month to help keep the acne away, but this was completely worth my money as it was not only enjoyable, but very effective. Thank you Mindy!

I got a facial done back in November. It was amazing! I forgot her name but she was very professional, room was perfect temperature, took care of my blackheads, gave me lots of tips on making my skin more hydrated. it was 1 ½ long and it was totally worth it. i will be back. Thanks!

I am so lucky to have found Mindy at N’Lighten skin. I had a horribly busy work week, so I decided to treat myself I had a Chakra Balancing Facial over the weekend it was amazing! Mindy weaved a guided meditation throughout the facial so I was able to relax quickly and enjoy my pampering without my mental chatter. She is very intuitive and took care to even tend to my stuffy nose by having me inhale some peppermint.
She used super luxurious and gentle products on my skin, specifically these rich oils that felt like heaven! I didn’t leave overly oily or greasy, but just glowed and have baby soft skin.
The space she is located in is also amazing, The Guru’s Gate, instantly walking in there gave me such a warm & inviting feeling. I loved the space & the facial & Mindy’s energy! I highly recommend N’Lightened Skin.

Wow, I was referred to Mindy at N’lighten skin by a friend, and I must say it was the best referral ever. I was in major need of relaxation and to feel completely pampered and that’s what I received. The aromatherapy and her light warm touch practically put me to sleep. The products she used didn’t make my skin feel oily or greasy afterwards like most other facials I’ve received. And my skin looked amazing and brighter. And the location is right by the ocean so you just feel like you are in paradise. It was the best way to end a hectic day. I will most definitely be going back to Mindy for my regular facials now. Great job!

Wow, being a guy this was my second facial ever and it was amazing! Now I can understand why women like it so much. Mindy gave a much greater experience than my first facial which was «clinical» and I got the feeling of just being there to make them money. So not true with Mindy! She is caring and warm I felt genuinely comfortable and cared for (not an easy feat for a man I think). I had a hard time thinking a facial would improve my complexion and make me feel better and healthier… I believe now!
