I bought a jacket from them online last year in august and they kept on saying few more months and we will ship your jacket for sure but till l date i am waiting for my jacket. They have stopped responding since couple of months now. I shop a lot and this is the first time i have experienced something like this.

Love, love, love this shop. Great quality leather and unique designs make their products must haves. The owners, Luddy and Nick, are in the shop occasionally and are very knowledgeable about their products. Even when the owners are not in, there is always a very helpful person behind the desk(Larry). Everytime I have shopped at Nicholas Bowes, my experience has always been great. The prices are very reasonable for great quality products as well.

I have to say I was really impressed with one of the co-owners, Luddivina, she’s quite a remarkable woman and invested into the integrity of the business and the product’s quality. I really like the vintage, motorcycle/rock-n-roll style. As far as I know all items are made in L.A. and designed by Nicholas Bowes. Though I can’t afford every item, I really recommend a visit. The quality of the merchandise is remarkable, and has been purchased by LA stylist’s to be on TV shows. Highly recommend.

At first glance, I was intrigued. Mainly men’s leather jacket and shirts, with some women’s, as well. I had been admiring a pair of boots that were displayed in their window but unfortunately, at the time, they were only open by appointment only. Moving on… Another casual Saturday, on our walk back from the movies, I happened to see that the doors were opened. The Man and I decided to take a peek. A very sweet boy by the name of Larry was manning the shop. Dressed in what seemed like he designed himself. «He must be a fashion student» was my immediate thought. Anyway… they sold the boots I had admired previously. Tho, disappointed… I still looked around and noticed that all the labels were a mix of some things made in China, used items, and this Nicholas Bowes dude. It was confusing and Larry didn’t have much knwledge of anything that was for sale. The Man picked up a pair of used John Varvatos boots and asked the price. $ 400! FORUSEDBOOTS. Now… The Man knows his boots. Trust me, I’ve gone shopping with him. A pair of new Varvatos boots are around $ 600 on up. BUT!!! You can always find deals whether online or at sales for about $ 450 on up. So, to sell a pair of VERYUSED, NOTSLIGHTLYUSED boots at $ 400 is just highway robbery. Moving on… Again… I found a pair of cute suede boots called Rosegold. They were my size and comfy as hell. I bought them right there and then for $ 150. only to get home and search online and find them for a lot less. This pissed me off. In this day and age when there’s all this information a click away, you’d think a shop would be smarter than to ass rape a customer. And trust me… I’m a damn good customer. Not only that, the boots didn’t even come in a box. They just threw them in a used bag. Ha! I felt like I just bought a Prada purse out of some guy’s trunk. Look… I know it’s not easy to open up a boutique. Hell… I’ve done it. I know that the cost of merchandise and all the added variables make it nearly impossible for a small boutique to succeed but to deceive your customers will only deter them as it has done to me. I will never buy another thing from here. Brigade will keep my business. Now… if they only used a lil lube.
