New Hair System

I had had a short pixie cut for the last six years, and for 2016, I felt a pull for a change. Because my hair was shorter than what most stylists could work with, I went to another salon for sew in extensions. However, the stylists, though their efforts were commendable, were unable to leave me with what I truly wanted. After two days of hats, I made a consultation with Helen, who was so gracious to book me the very next day. She listened to my vision and my budget limitations and truly respected my fears, apprehensions, and hopes for how I wanted the hair to look. The next day she went to work on my head and not only gave me everything I wanted in the price range we had discussed, but she fixed some of the mistakes of the previous stylist free of charge.
She is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about making sure the client looks natural and beautiful. Her extensions are also by far the most comfortable to wear out of all other extensions I’ve worn and also extremely skillfully placed. She is also very honest with expectations, prices, and limitations, but given her experience and dedication (she essentially attached long hair to my very very, and I mean very, short hair), she gives her all to meet your hair goals. She treats your hair like her own and your comfort is also a top priority for her when she places the extensions.
I don’t normally leave long reviews, but Helen truly deserves one for her patience and great work.
Some tips:
— The storefront is not facing Wilishire. I get easily lost (haha), and it took a while to realize the spacious parking lot and storefront are in the back of the building.
— When you call the number, you might initially only leave a message. Do not be disheartened. Helen will get back to you and call and message you. I almost made the mistake of assuming the business was closed. Chances are, she was simply with a client and uses a messaging system until she formally meets with me or other clients.
Anyway, thank you Ms. Helen, and for anyone else looking to get extensions of any kind, especially micro/​nano ring style extensions, Helen is the one to go to. The extensions she put in are with tiny tiny beads and so so comfortable. I will be revisiting her in a few months to get more put in and for retightening.

Helen is a hair genius!!! If you live anywhere around Los Angeles and are looking for extensions she is the lady to see! I have had several different type of extensions but hers are by far the best and the only one who carries them. I have pretty fine thin hair and I’m not easy on my hair either, there is never any damage. Point is if your looking for extensions this is the place to go!!! Plus Helen is the sweatest and will walk you through to decide what is best for you! Enjoy!

An update after almost one year with Helen. The new hair system is still a great way to manage hair… better than hair weaving or other techniques. However, I lower one notch in my rating because the quality of my hair is not so good. It looks dry and not as natural as I wish. I have to purchase expensive products in order to maintain its natural looks. Helen sometimes rushes to finish her monthly maintenance job on my hair. Looks like I’ll have to buy another hair replacement soon.

I always had my suspicions that guardian angels walked the earth and that I had my share of them looking out for me. Today, I finally met one. Her name is Helen; a kind, honest, generous… well…angel. She welcomed me, explained all of my options and worked with me to find a solution. She spent time with me and showed me the results of her many satisfied clients (one of which, from the TV world, she was finishing a session with and was glowing).
What impressed me most, well, aside from the beautiful and satisfying results I left with, was her meticulous and thorough work and her passion. Having a customer that is happy and content with the results gives her as much joy as we the customers experience. After all, guardian angels aren’t just shoppe keeps they are benevolent beings sent to us to help us and just maybe change our lives a little bit for the better.
I am thrilled to have her in my life. Thank you very much!

Helen does the best job on my hair. I have been coming to her for 6 years and will never change. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs hair replacement and also for color treatment.

ok…i lied… but that is not what this review is about. It’s more of a kudos for Helen (New Hair System owner? or manager?).
Anyway as I was saying, I’m not an actual hair client, but I was introduced to Helen through my friend’s mom. My friends and I are always looking for ways to make money. Personally, I didn’t like the idea of hair extensions or hair pieces, but my other friend is a licensed stylists and she swears this is potentially a big thing.
So the three of us went to check out some type of training class. We were trained by Helen for the different types of services she provides. They provide training and offer various classes dealing with hair systems and hair extensions. I basically left with a knowledge of how to run your own mom-​and-​pop version of Hair Club for Men, which could potentially be a lucrative business.
What’s great about the whole training session is that it’s one-​on-​one training, and she’s quite thorough with everything. Her English is limited at times but there was nothing in the lesson plan that even I failed to understand. She’s really a nice lady and told me she’s been doing this for 30+ years. My friend who’s a stylist also was impressed with Helen’s hair extension methods… I’m not sure what that means but she bugged me to Unilocal that… Is it for me? Not sure. My friend is very happy with it though. All in all, a very pleasant experience.
Helen or her son can assist you. I forget her son’s name but this guy has some serious hair. WTF… God must have accidently gave him some of my hair. I wonder if he just sells his own hair for the pieces they sell. Since I feel like a hair expert now, maybe I’ll sport his hair on my head hahaha.

alrighty so we’re all getting old and my mom is no exception… God bless her soul :)
her hair has been thinning for quite some time and i know that women at any age care about their hair. so for her bday i decided to help her but didnt know how. i got a referral to farrell hair replacement and that didnt turn out too well. she was very disappointed with their product. i was disappointed cuz that shit was expensive! but nothings too good for my mom! so i searched for a place myself instead of going by referrals.
anyhow… long story short. i found new hair systems. all i can say is wow. i dont know anything about hair but i know that if my mom is happy and satisfied, so am i. it’s been about 8 months and all she says is that it fits great. all i can say is that it looks good and it dont look like she’s about to go trick or treating! (im assuming now that the one she had from ferrell didnt fit too well.)
bottom line… when im 60 plus, new hair better be in business b/​c im going toupee (sp?) all the way!!!
side note… why 4 stars? im not a customer so i cant speak first hand. im sure it’s 5 stars for my mom. but unless she can learn to turn on a pc and figure out email. it aint happening.
