OK. Unlike other posters, I know exactly squat about Peruvian food. I just know that this place gave me a yummy, substantial meal at a good price. The menu is mostly stuff that I am unfamiliar with, but we liked everything we tried. Small local restaurant, unassuming place. If you know nothing about Peru but want to try something new without feeling ignorant, this is a good spot to try.

Lousy service! The waitress did not have any menu knowledge about the ingredients of each dish. I decided to get rice with chicken which was announced as day specials in the board at the entrance but when«my order» came to the table was another dish but most expensive(it was not what I ordered). Whatever, I started to eat but the chicken was raw/cold in the middle, after it took like 20 minutes while in the restaurant was nobody but me. Upon receiving my complaint the waitress offered me an exchange so I ordered a soup with chicken. After another 15 minutes The«chicken soup» contained chicken skins, fat and nothing close to a piece of chicken that would give flavor to the broth. The presentation was not really appetizing, I did pay but ate nothing. Even the water they gave me water was warm! I only ate the bread that was the only edible thing. I had a very bad experience and I do not recommend this place at all. I live right in front and I though it was convenient but definitely the kitchen and the service ruined my experience at the restaurant.

This place is as good or better than Mario’s. I always judge a Peruvian restaurant by its Saltado de Mariscos. It was outstanding. As usual, Peruvian restaurants have bad parking and are tiny but park down the street. The short hike is worth it.

So do I have to preface this with Peruvian cuisine is one of my favorites? We visited this place after the LA car show one evening. I’ve been next door at the Thai place and that’s pretty good too. It was a bit of a chilly night by SoCal’s standards so I wanted something hot like soup. We ordered the 7 mares or 7 seas soup. I like to add lemon on a lot of things, and the lemon actually made it taste better. I forget what the 7 seafood items included but I think they were: shrimp, crab, mussels, white fish, calamari, clams and I forget… Anyway 4 stars! I knew that I would want something else to accompany that. We opted for my all time favorite lomo saltado(my go to Peruvian dish). It was good although I’ve had better.(3.5 stars) I was also feeling bold and wanted to try something different. For the life of me, I can’t remember the name of the fish nor can I find other pics of it on here. Maybe it’s new or maybe it’s an unpopular dish. When I asked the server if it was good, she said she’s never had it. I knew I should have took the hint. Anyway, it was alright. Lacked flavor.(3 stars) Anyway, this place is good. The service is ok. Try it!

Natalie Peruvian has been on my radar for a while. It’s been a long time since I’ve been here and don’t recall the food here. I frequent the plaza since Yai Thai restaurant is next door and I’ve been a patron of theirs for a number of years. Hungry after the LA Car show, we drove down to Hollywood to give this place a try. We ordered the lomo saltado, another dish which I forget the name is similar to a beef stew, and siete mares. The lomo saltado with sauteed strips of beef, onions, tomatoes and French fries was just okay. It’s served with steamed rice. This dish lacked some flavor. A little salt and juicier piece of meat would of made the difference in this dish. Fried potatoes weren’t freshly fried which is a bit disappointing. The other beef dish which I don’t recall the name was good. Reminded me of a beef stew with tender meat. This dish too lacked some salt. It came with Peruvian beans and a onion tomato tangy salad on the side with rice. The siete mares also known as the Seven Seas soup was good. It needed a few squeezes of lemon juice to add some tang. Otherwise as it’s name, it comes with 7 different seafood. Great soup for a cool fall evening. The service is friendly and the prices are reasonable.

We decided to randomly stop here one week night after a long day at work. There are a few free parking spaces. The restaurant was clean and the service was awesome. We ordered the shrimp ceviche and lomo saltado(seafood & a beef/chicken). Food was amazing! Ceviche was spicy and I liked it. The saltado came in generous portions. The beef and chicken were good quality and seasoned well. My bf said the seafood lomo was delish! He ate the whole thing.

I’ve been here twice. Both times in the evening. It’s a small restaurant and parking lot. Maybe 8 or 10 tables and can get stuffy. I did notice the last time I was in they added a serious fan to the mix! They’re next to Yai Thai Restaurant and California Donut. I got # 60 the shrimp with cream and lobster sauce. I ate here once and called in to-go the second time. Both times were tasty. Last time the shrimp were a wee bit over cooked, but the lobster sauce disguised it. Then again, not really if I noticed it. When I dined in, the service was maaaaad slow… but the waitress was very nice. To-go was ready in 15 mins so I was in, out, and back home in a total of 25 mins! OH, don’t forget to order a chicha morada to drink. It’s usually made with purple corn, but not sure if they use powder or not. Either way, yum!

Based on all of the positive Unilocal reviews, we had high expectations of Natalie Peruvian Seafood. Unfortunately, we were sadly disappointed. When we walked into Natalie on a Monday at 11:10 am(they open at 11 am), the place was empty. No customers and no hostess or servers. I looked into the kitchen and saw a couple of employees working. After about 5 minutes, a young lady appeared from the back and apologized for making us wait. Seeing that we had already taken menus to look it, she took our order without further delay. Since we’ve visited Peru before and have eaten Lomo Saltado there, we decided to order the Lomo Saltado to see how Natalie compares. We also ordered the Saltado de Mariscos(seafood). For being the only customers there, we had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for the food to arrive. When I finally tasted the Saltado de Mariscos, it was bland but REALLY salty. The shrimp and mussel did not look nor tasted fresh either. The Lomo Saltado was also disappointing. The beef strips were obviously leftovers from the day before since most of the beef strips were dry, tough and black. This dish was also too salty. And the worst part is that both dishes came out barely lukewarm! The prices are also a bit high for the quality and quantity of food. I also noticed a bin full of dirty dishes next to the restroom. It was obviously from the night before and they hadn’t bothered to take care of it. On the bright side, our server was pleasant and we found a parking spot right in front of the restaurant. So, our quest for a great Peruvian restaurant continues…

Ok, so the service IS slow… think Peruvian time. However, I had number 81.(Seafood in lobster sauce) and rice and it was so frikkin delicious — I could drink the sauce as a soup! I mean, lick the plate clean good. Small restaurant with 10 tables. Same parking lot as 711 and Yai. Fyi: the chef that cooks this dish the best, works thurs — mon. His day off is tue + wed. Lol.

My mom is Peruvian and I’m a big fan of the cuisine. I’ve always seen this restaurant driving by but have never gone. It’s a small hole in the wall type place in a 7 – 11 shopping center on Hollywood Blvd. today, I decided to try it out and very glad I did. The food was great. I ordered ceviche mixto and lomo saltado, two classic dishes and a good litmus test for how good a Peruvian place is. Both were fantastic. I will be back and plan on ordering delivery too since it’s close by. For Peruvian food lovers, it’s a solid place for a great meal.

First place I’ve had Peruvian food and boy let me tell you… Some of the best cuisine I’ve ever had. I love the saltado de lomo or pollo. I always add a fried egg which is . The service is great and the green sauce is amazing. Will always come back to Natalie’s!

3.5 stars. It’s certainly a good gem for where it’s at and the food. Could improve on portion size. Came here for lunch right when they opened on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered the usual Lomo Saltado for the lady and the Pollo Saltado for myself. Can’t complain about the flavor here. Peruvian food always pops with spice and salt and Natalie’s does a great job of that. There’s always going to be an inevitable comparison to the longstanding incumbent of Perivian food, mario’s, and I have to say the aji sauce and the food is pretty decent and close to them in flavor. I particularly like how the chicken also seems to have a bit more texture than Mario’s. However, my reason for an average rating for here is due to their portion size. I felt like it was much smaller than Mario’s for its price as I had no leftovers for here. I realize I’m a bigger dude than most but the lady friend also said she was used to the larger size from Mario’s. I’m usually taking a half portion back with me after Mario’s while here, I ate pretty much all the Saltado and half the rice and wasn’t really full. I know, kinda greedy and gluttonous. Service was friendly and quick. I’ll probably be back considering how close this place is to where we frequent on Sunday’s.

Sometimes great things come in small sizes; this can be said about Natalie Peruvian Seafood Restaurant. Located off Hollywood Blvd but a safe distance away from the insanity that’s associated with Hollywood, Natalie’s is a small mom and pop shop that serves up so tasty Peruvian style cuisine. First off PARKING in Hollywood is always a nightmare but luckily enough this place offers a modest amount of private lot parking that is shared with the neighboring Thai food place and 7-eleven. When my Mom and I first arrived the parking was all taken but we circled back around and found a spot. There’s also neighborhood parking that isn’t permit only so if at first you don’t succeed, try again The SERVICE was great! Our waitress was very courteous and got us water and complimentary bread promptly as we waited. The FOOD was pretty darn tasty if I may say. I ordered the Saltado De Pollo(chicken strips sauteed with onions, tomatoes, french fries and served with steamed rice) and my mom ordered the Arroz Chaufa Especial A La Natalie(fried rice«peruvian style» with shrimps, squids, octopus, mussels, chicken and beef). The chicken was a mix of white and dark meat(mostly dark) a bit dry but was well seasoned and packed with flavor. The fries were crispy and of course the sautéed onions and tomatoes were a treat. This is one of my favorite Peruvian dishes and it was executed well. My mom REALLY enjoyed her Chaufa, it was packed with all types of seafood and meat. I tried it and loved the rice preparation; it was extremely fluffy and had a full-body of flavor. The Chaufa is certainly a safe choice to ease you into the cuisine of Peru. Overall great experience and great price! For two meals we spent about $ 27 bucks. The proportions were generous so more than enough for leftover which tasted AMAZING the next day.

Had a mad craving for good Lomo Saltado so we decided to try a different Peruvian spot for dinner. Unlike Mario’s, Natalie Peruvian has great customer service, slightly more accessible parking, NO wait time, and delicious food! LOCATION&PARKING Located on Hollywood Blvd. and hidden behind a 7 – 11 store in the corner. The red and white sign makes it clearly visible from the street. They share a small parking lot with 7 – 11 and other surrounding businesses. Metered street parking also available. AMBIANCE&SETTING Small casual spot great for pairs or groups of 4. Perfect place to catch up with a friend cuz it’s quiet and not crowded. Indoor seating only. Bright, colorful, décor with murals of Peru and customized tables bearing the«Natalie» name. Restrooms for customers only. CUSTOMERSERVICE We went around 5pm on a weekday and were greeted and seated immediately. The woman who served us was friendly, attentive, and efficient cuz she promptly refilled our waters and checked on us occasionally. Also, our drinks and food came out in an appropriate sequence and in a timely manner. Both cash and credit/debit cards accepted. FOOD Great variety of appetizers and entrees featuring chicken, beef, fish, and seafood. Complimentary basket of crispy bread and butter was given after our drinks. Drinks — Inca Kola: The Golden Kola, which was a refreshing tasty Peruvian soda. — TRYIT! Appetizer — Chicarron de Calamares: Delicious crispy fried calamari with a side of veggies mixed in a tasty vinegar dressing. — GETIT! Lomo Saltado — Beef strips with onions, tomatoes, and French fries sauteed in an amazingly delicious sauce served with steamed white rice. It may not look like a lot, but it will definitely fill you up and satisfy your taste buds and stomach. — GETITNOW! Overall, I love Natalie Peruvian cuz I didn’t wait forever to get in, felt appreciated as a customer, found parking, and had some of the best Lomo Saltado! I definitely plan on coming back to try more of their food. Sorry Mario’s, but you’ve been replaced!

Good food and we finally tried other appetizers. Which was the fried chicken pieces with some kind of lemon sauce. That was very lemony. The service was excellent thankfully it was not crowded. Fried rice with meat was Delish. We got the lomo Salgado chicken and beef. Both good and tasty. I love this place cause it’s not busy, service is good and food is good. Parking is the only problem here. You share the lot with Yai’s and 7 – 11. Cause the donut shop is closed. Will u come back yes. Like always

Tiny unassuming joint that produces some of the best Peruvian food I’ve had. The tusán influence is strong here w/red Chinese looking furnishings, even a small alter devoted to buddha! The food was remarkable! Tried the following: CEVICHEDEMARISCOS — shrimp, squid, fish and mussels cooked in lemon juice & Peruvian spices, topped with marinated onions. The seafood was fresh, contained a good amount of heat(as in spice), came with a side of some sort of sweet potato which was delicious! CAMARONESENSALSADELANCOSTA — sautéed shrimp with cream and lobster sauce. Myyyyy oh my… that sauce!!! That thick, creamy, lobster bisque tasting broth was amazing!!! And the half fried potato it came with dipped in that sauce was some of the best sh*t I’ve had in a long time. ARROZCONMARISCOS — Fried Rice w/shrimp, octopus, squid, and mussels mixed with vegetables and cooked with a touch of wine. Seafood was cooked perfectly tender, rice was well seasoned and tasted just like authentic Chinese fried rice. LOMOSALTADO — beef strips sautéed with onions, tomato, french fries. The sauce it was topped with packed a punch of flavor, tasted of tomatoes, vinegar, soy and went so well with the tender beef and those fries which soaked up all the gravy. Just delicious! Every single dish was incredibly flavorful. Will definitely be making this a go to spot.

Hidden behind a 711 near the entrance to the 101 Hollywood Blvd Freeway, Natalie’s serves delicious, authentic Peruvian Food. Came here with some of my co workers for lunch and had a great experience! No big lines and large portions of food will keep you satisfied. I had the Lomo Saltado dish with added Camarones. Excellent choice! Pretty big restaurant too and service was also good. I would recommend this place if your craving Peruvian and don’t want to wait in line.
