When you visit Olvera Street, give this little museum a chance. If your walking up to the entrance of Olvera Street, it’s located on the right, you’ll see a sign directing you to walk downstairs into a small basement/room. And that is all it is. Inspiring and sad because it’s true and sad stories of people of Mexican descent(yeah I hate having to be PC — everyone knows what it is, what it means. anyhow), that came here for a better life and got used, abused and in most cases died, injuries, mutilated limbs from their occupations, etc. Each picture on the wall tells their story. And there’s remnants of items they carried with them that are symbols. And there’s little inserts next to each item that gives a brief description. Again, come and give this little museum a chance and open mind. Add this to the list of other museums and churches surrounding Olvera street.
