I just got a dog collar from here for my pup with her name and my number on it. It looks great. They customized the collar while I waited and it was done in under 10 minutes. The couple running the store were absolutely the best at customer service. They do all kinds of custom leather goods with very reasonable prices. I will be back the next time I am in the area to get myself something.

Took the family to Olvera Street in Los Angeles, and walked into «Murillos Leather Goods». There stuff is fantastic! I was looking at all the cool hand made belts only to discover they could cut and customize a belt for me while I waited. It came out just like I wanted, of course you can design yours how you like out of the many designs they have.
So for a reasonable price you can get a premium hand tooled «heart of the hide» leather belt made to your specific taste, that outlast any other belt you can get at a department store!

Where do I start? Armando and Lupe are trully wonderful people! Their business has been established for now 2 generations and now one knows why. Once you step inside their shop, they treat you like family! Armando will take care of your leather needs while Lupe does an excellent job showing you their authentic products. I do recommend you buy yourself an authentic pair of huaraches. Overall, they are more than business patrons, they are friends to the community. I have been going to their shop for over 10 years, mostly for the frienship and great service!

I love this placeee !!! My name is never found on anything or its spelled differently so i have to have things custom made. I got 2 belts from here and they look great you can even put a design with it like a star or something. I was to fat to fit any of the belts that were already made so he made one just for me with my name and you get to choose what color the belt can be. I got my dad a belt and had his initals put instead of his name. My cousin got her husky a dog collar and it looked great! They also do like custom leather keychains and bracelets. I love Olvera Street!

This place is unreal. Armando and his wife lupe are the nicest people. High Quality leather products at fair prices. I am definitely coming back to buy a briefcase. He has it all from belts to wallets to dog collars to gun holsters!

What a sweetheart !
Came on a very chaotic summer afternoon in July. Had been here years before (still have the personalized bracelet from 2008) and I was very happy that his storefront was still open. Had 4 bracelets tooled (?)in less than 15 minutes. Bracelets are $ 10 bucks a piece.
He was very patient with my indecisive family. Great work and fantastic quality. Also said he is happy to ship items.
Parking around this area can be a challenge. We parked a couple of blocks away and paid 10 or 15 bucks.
If you have time wander over across the street to the train station. Beautiful art deco design, great for people watching, and you never know who you might see :)

Bought a beautiful belt from this store six years ago, great service and selection. Worn it every day since purchased (unless it’s a boardshorts day). Such a great belt, headed back there soon to find a fancy belt. cant wait!

Back in October my boyfriend and I got the most beautiful belts made here. We each got our last name tooled in the leather and they are gorgeous. Loved it so much went back the next day to have dog collars made for our dog and for our friend’s dog who we were staying with in L.A. Mr. Murillo could not have been kinder or provided better work. Will surely make it a stop next time we get to visit.

This place is great! Walking around Olvera Street, I noticed the plethora of leather goods adorning the store front and that is what drew me in. Once inside, I noticed some leather strap bracelets with a snap. I recalled my good friend’s daughter losing hers recently and she was really bummed. I texted her and within 10 minutes, I walked out with a close replacement.
The guy who does the leather works is extremely nice. He worked with me in between text messages to see what he could offer to try and match the lost bracelet. When we were done, I handed over my $ 10 and he put the bracelet in a bag with his business card and told me that if she is not completely happy, have her bring back the bracelet and he will fix it. That is customer service!
If you want him to make you a custom made belt, he’ll do that for you too. $ 45. Not bad for a leather belt that will last FOREVER! He’s got sandals, wallets, purses, etc. Great little place to visit «en la plazita Olvera.»
