A place just doesn’t work if when I’m craving to eat what they sell, they’re just not where they are supposed to be. It’s kind of like wining the lottery if you actually are lucky enough to find them working. They say you gotta check Twitter for updates to know if they are actually open, but they just don’t even care about leaving a tweet to inform the clients. So no thanks!

Mucho Perro is the best HOTDOGS I have ever had in my life. Mauricio the owner is just the most awesome guy ever and the concept of the hotdog stand+lounge is by far the most exceptional idea I have come across. I love finding little gems and hidden secrets of Los Angeles food trucks and dive bars and coming across Mucho Perro I was extremely happy. The Colombian style hot dogs are delicious, Mauricio is so wonderful and the lounge is fun fun fun. Whoever did not try Mucho Perro needs to go and delve into this experience its like nothing you’ve seen before. I keep coming back every time I can.

I wasn’t sure about the amount of stuff they put on the hot dogs, but they are surprisingly delicious. Located outside my favorite tattoo shop and bar on sunset blvd. always a treat on a weekend.

I’ve only had Colombian style hot dogs a couple times in my life, and while that isn’t enough that I’ve built up a craving, I know I’d eat more of them if they were readily available. Mucho Perro is the only business I know that offers these dogs in the L.A. area, and I hope to run across it again. Mucho Perro catered a friend’s party, and I got the signature Mucho Perro! as a slightly oversized afternoon snack. The guy making the dogs was really friendly, and he assured me that this was the one to get.(I was also tempted by the chili, but it’s not hard to find a chili dog in L.A.) It was quite tasty, a beef hot dog topped with bacon, mozzarella cheese, smashed potato chips, ketchup, mustard, pineapple sauce, cilantro sauce, and pink sauce, whatever that might be. The frank was maybe not the snappiest one around, but it was good, and I loved the crunch of the chips and the big flavors coming from the layers and layers of sauces. It looks like Mucho Perro usually hangs out in Hollywood, and I would definitely pay for another Colombian hot dog if I came across it again. I’m too lazy to drive and park just to eat at a food truck, but this one is worth seeking out if you’re so inclined.

I was just standing in my kitchen looking at the remnants of a bag of chips, and visualizing the hot dogs and pineapple in the fridge. Then I started thinking about looking for a new job in the area Mucho Perro visits for lunch. If that doesn’t merit a 5 star review, I don’t know what does. Try it, you won’t be able to forget!

By Far the best Colombian hot dog in the states, I’ve had Colombian style hot dogs in New York, Miami and obviously Colombia, and these are by far and i mean far like miles the best Colombian hot dogs in the States. The size is perfect, the quantities of ingredients are just right and you can tell they use the best ingredients money can buy and it translates on its product. I wish i could give mucho perro 10 stars but i guess 5 will do. Check em out even if your not Colombian as Foodie i can say you will def be satisfied.

Colombian style hot dogs! Yes please! A friend’s organization hired them to cater and it was a huge hit! The Mucho Perro was so well made and each bite was pure bliss. Great texture and taste with each bite. Highly recommended if you’re in the Sunset and Branson area.

I am from a very small town in the midwest, seriously, it is totally Whitesville, Whitesylvania, so I am completely unaware of the culinary creations of most other cultures. I was introduced to Mucho Perro recently when it came to the place where I was working, and my boss bought me a hot dog. When I got it, it was very dark(I was working at a Halloween attraction), so I couldn’t actually see it, and had no idea what was on it. I took a bite, and it blew my freaking head off. I had never heard of putting pineapple and crushed potato chips on a hot dog, but I freaking loved it. It was transcendent. It was hot dog art. God bless the Colombians and their fine sausages.

Nowadays, social media makes it so much easier to find all the information we need. That’s how I learned about Mucho Perro, an authentic Colombian hot dog stand. Unlike classic hot dogs, the Colombian version features a whole range of toppings and condiments over the traditional frank-in-bun base. Depending on the place, you can order one with chicken, quail eggs and many sauce varieties. In Colombia, it’s very common to see food trucks and little stands that sell hot dogs, each with their own loyal clientele. I recall one of these stands in my beloved Bogotá, where one of the most famous perros was the double hot dog: a massive concoction with two sausages, French fries, grated cheese, tomato sauce, mustard, pink sauce, bacon and pineapple relish, and finished off with quail eggs(a delicious caloric bomba!). So when I found out about Mucho Perro on Twitter – and learned about its second anniversary as a stand on Sunset Boulevard – I didn’t think twice about making my way over. Mauricio, the creator and owner of Mucho Perro, got the idea for the stand from the hot dogs he used to enjoy near his house in Pereira. He decided to share a bit of his native culture and flavor with Los Angeles, and saw a chance to teach his new community a little something about Colombian food. At the two-year anniversary celebration, I was delighted by the Colombian atmosphere and the terrific service by Mauricio, which is common in my home country. As for the hot dogs, you can choose from among four options: Mucho Perro, Mucho Turkey, Mucho Veggie and Mucho Chili, each at $ 4. I went with the Mucho Perro, which included a yummy steamed meat sausage, bacon, Mozzarella cheese, French fries, pineapple relish, tomato sauce, mustard, pink sauce and cilantro sauce. If you want to know more about Mucho Perro and its hours and locations, visit their Facebook and Twitter pages, where they usually announce their next destination.

This food cart doesn’t serve you boring average hot dogs. It’s all about the sauces and combination of flavors. The hot dogs are not huge. If I was super hungry, I could probably eat two. I had the mucho chili dog. Ask for the pineapple sauce! It’s a nice sweet kick to a dog that is spicy and cool with the jalapeño and cilantro sauce. It is a food cart, so it will slightly be hard to find.

One thing you must know about me is this: I absolutely hate food trucks. I think they’re overpriced and taste mediocre. I think part of the high price is kind of attached to the fact that having food from a food truck is «cool» and«an experience.» Mucho Perro, however, is definitely something I endorse. I’ve had Dodger Dogs, Pinks, Farmer Johns, Wurstküche, Hot Dog Lady, random Hot Dogs outside of nightclubs, the list goes on. None of those compares to the hot dogs from the friendly man who runs this food… truck? stand? It’s literally a food stand tied behind a little green truck. For $ 4 flat, you get your choice of a beef dog, a turkey dog, or a chili cheese dog. The dog itself is pretty standard; however, the foodgasm occurs when the man throws the toppings on. Bacon, cheese, smashed potato chips, pineapple sauce(delicious), ketchup, mustard, pink sauce(a mix of ketchup and mayo), and cilantro sauce(wait, there’s such a thing called cilantro sauce?!?). Even if you don’t agree on how good it tastes, for $ 4 this dog is a very good value. Follow his Facebook to see where he goes next! Thanks for reading.

When I found out that Mucho Perro has the original«colombian-style-hot-dog» here in Los Angeles, I had to run and get one RIGHTAWAY. This is the real thing! It’s perfect! And it’s DeLiCiOuS! That night I eat 2 hot dogs, and I could had eaten 2 more, but I had to be responsible and control my self. I’ll eat again next weekend!!! And what’s so different from the typical«american style hot dog» you might ask? Well, it’s the bread and the sausage, plus bacon, onions, mozzarella cheese, pineapple salsa, ketchup, mustard, smashed potato chips, pink salsa and the secret ingredient… which you’ll have to go and see for yourself!(it’s in the menu, I’m just trying to add a little mystery! hahaha) Don’t be fooled by all the ingredients, the actual hot dog isn’t that big, you can grab it with one hand pretty easy. Mucho Perro has amazing service, if you don’t want say«mustard», they will do the hot dog to your liking. It’s very affordable. It takes like 2 minutes to make the hot dog you ordered, so if you’re hungry you won’t have to wait long, unless there’s a long line and then you will have to wait… BUTTHEWAITISTOTALLYWORTHIT!!! Tip: If there’s a long line, order 2 right away, you’ll want to repeat once you eat the first one. Also, there’s 3 more hot dogs in the menu: «Mucho Chili», «Mucho Turkey» and«Mucho Veggie», plus the original«Mucho Perro».
