Food is great and prices are great. You won’t spend more than 8 bucks a person. Carne asada burrito is delicious !

Been coming by here for couple years now. The location looks shady as hell but its been newly renovated and cleaned up. One of the best chicken and potatoes i’ve had from a gas station. Unlike KFC these fried chickens aren’t soaked in salt and the potato wedges are super delicious(if fresh). Very understated and a surprising diamond in the rough kind of place. The prices keeps me going back. 2 aluminum containers(the kind you cook a turkey in) full of potatoes and chicken costs less than 20 bucks and can feed up to 4 people. Stopped by yesterday and it seems the name has changed on the outside of the store(possibly new ownership?) but it still comes up as Mrs. Sippee on Unilocal

Great food and wonderful service. Always a pleasure to eat here. Price is not too bad. Not the cheapest but not extremely expensive either.

Use to hit this place up with the homies back in the day after drinking and partying. The chicken and potatoes where always hot and fresh. I remember going in and ordering chicken and potatoes and they use to have the big gallon jug of hot Sauce to cover your chicken n potatoes. I haven’t been there in over 10yrs till the other day. Nice that they have a little counter to sit in and eat where back in the day we would just park and eat using the trunk as a table. Good food local people and def be going back.

Although the name has changed to Overtime Café, this is a great little find in the middle of L.A. The potato wedges are to die for. The fried chicken is exceptional… but I say that with a caveat. The previous time I visited here earlier this year, management has just changed. That said the broasted chicken was some of the best I have ever had in L.A. However, when I returned this week, the chicken did not taste the same. It was way too greasy, and had not been properly drained. Properly broasted chicken is not supposed to turn out greasy. Not sure if this was a temporary bad day or something has changed with the new management. I will give it one more try however. It was that good the first time! The potatoes are still the same… delicious! The staff was friendly. One minor complaint… they had no drumsticks at 11:15 a.m. so my review might be a bit skewed.

This place is SUPERLOWKEY. All food is delicious and is 100% guarantee you’ll have a mouthgasm. Make sure to always order when the cook is present or else your food won’t be as fresh. Prefer any burger and WEDGES

This place used to be an ARCO but now is a 76. But I guess they still goes by the name Mr Sippee. This is a dangerous place to go to. If you can wait to get gas down the road, then do so and get gas further down the road. This place is infested with Homeless people at the corner and local gangs. It is a dangerous place. Around 1993 I hear on the Television news that a business man was shot to death by a Homeless in front of Mr. Sippee. Even though I was living in an adjacent city to Burbank at the time, I recognize it was this place as I knew someone who live around this neighborhood at the time and was aware of this place. And I am pretty sure there has been other crimes since. In addition there are local gangs around here. Normally if you see a 10 or 12 years old, you would think they are harmless. But in this neighborhood, the 10 or 12 years old can be a gang member and put a bullet in you. This I have heard quite some years ago from someone I knew that was working around this neighborhood, Last heard living some where in the Antelope Valley, that told me there are many gangs around this neighborhood and that he have seen a 14 yrs old chasing another 14 yrs old down the street with a gun shooting at him trying to kill him. Do yourself a favor and drive on by. If you see one of the homeless near your car window, keep your car windows up. Otherwise one of them might just throw gasoline on you and light you on fire. See attached daily news article link for details Disregard my warning at your own risk. Update 08/10/2014 I just passed by Mr. Sippee today and notice the homeless pan handler still right in front of Mr.Sippee. Still as dangerous as ever. I had to get gas in this area last week, as I was on my last drop of gas, and decide to go down to the 76 at Olympic Blvd and Vermont instead of the 76 here at Mr. Sippe, which is farther away from the freeway entrance but it is safer there. I guess the homeless criminal elements that migrate from skid road over here to this neighborhood has more influence than we know.

I couldn’t believe it. The chicken was delish! The broasted potatoes had great flavor and were really good but a bit dry. I had to smother in ketchup. The Carne Asada tacos were soooo good! They are about 50% bigger than Kings Tacos and cost only $ 1.19 a piece! I ordered 2 tacos, 2 pieces of chicken and two handfuls of the potatoes for about $ 6. Crazy cheap! Definitely a must try if you’re on the go.

Delicious chicken and potatoes. Great service, depending on who’s working. I especially love the homeless people(Calvin and friends) standing outside who serve as your Porter, Concierge and Maitre d’. Must pay a toll, or tip, to walk through the grounds and enter the store.

literally just finished eating some chicken&potatoes. Rather than saying its on Blaine st. It’s also on L.A. Live Way which will make it easier for you to find. GOODCHICKEN. Deceptively Juicy. Made a white paper bag see through when I got back to my apartment. Me recommend.

So… after setting up for Cal Gift with a girlfriend we had to pull in here to get some grub. She was having a major low sugar crash– we hadn’t eaten all day. We did not intend to get the fried chicken, but when we walked in and smelled it we couldn’t resist. How bad could it be, really? OMG! The best fried chicken in Los Angeles. Hands down. I’ve tried them all, and this was incredible. Tasty chicken, not overcooked, not undercooked, not over spiced or greasy. Well, there was a certain amount of grease, after all it is fried. My friends laugh at me when I tell them about it, but that’s because they haven’t had it. You must try the chicken. The potatoes are none too shabby either. Very moist– actually even better the next day! BESTFRIEDCHICKENINLOSANGELES!!!

I seriously don’t know what’s more shocking… how it is humanly possible this place is so SO incredibly ghetto and ridiculous yet fabulous, or the fact that I, along with only 6 other people, openly admit to coming here. The fact that you can pull into a gas station and get to: use the bathroom barefoot, get a tank of 91, buy a pack of smokes, AND get 1 Ib. of roasted potatoes, 5 pieces of fried chicken, a rib the size of your face, ALL with a 64. oz. Horchata to wash it all down for $ 6.00 is AMMAAAAAAZZZZING. Be for warned, when I say gas station, I mean gas station. It is the definition of «what’s good in the hood», right next to USC and LMU Law… and it is not uncommon to have to exit the gas station earlier than you wanted because you were asked to do so by S.W.A.T.

Been coming here since I was a little kid. One of the best kept ghetto secrets!!! I’d come here all the time for broasted potatoes(generous amount) and chicken!!! They also have large drinks, pizza slices, etc. But you should go here for the potatoes and chicken! Good prices, fast service… excellent.
