I had tasted the best pizza from this place! It is small & simple, but the prices are totally worth it!

Second time coming in here and the first time was great but didn’t really pay much attention to the place I simply ate my pizza and left second time I realized they have unlimited beer for 15 dollars the people there are super friendly and the pizza is just perfect. The sample platter is super good as well and the place always looks super clean. I will most definitely be coming back and recommend to my friends.

Great Friendly Service Really good tasty pizza with a big variety of toppings. Happy Hour is awesome Only reason why I don’t give it the 5 stars is because the food isn’t always consistent with taste I’ve been a couple times to the little Tokyo location and the pastas are very good sometimes not always.

Mr. Pizza is a great place to get a quick bite to eat during lunch. They have an awesome $ 10 deal where you can get a pizza, soup/salad, and a drink. I love their BBQ chicken pasta and Caesar salad combo. They also have happy hour here! Who can go wrong with beer and pizza?

Oh Mr. Pizza, you’ll always have a place in my tummy for your weirdly delicious pizza creations :) I first had a slice of their sweet potato crust at a friend’s place and ever since then, been wanting to go and try it again! Cue Valentine’s Day — 20% off your dine-in order, so the bf and I came for dinner. We got the half and half — half potato gold, half shrimp gold. And two glasses of beer, because HH deal — buy a beer, get one for $ 1! The pizza was pretty yummy. I liked the potato gold half better because it had tortilla chip crumbles! It was a great salty combo with the sweetness of the crust. The shrimp side was pretty good too. No frills place, you order, they bring your food out and you eat. Really hit the spot for us :)

I had a craving for pizza today so after doing a Unilocal search of pizza places nearby, and having just passed it a couple of days ago on my way to the Korean Kitchen, I decided on Mr. Pizza. Not to be confused with Pizza Man. A few fellow Unilocaler reviews helped in my decision as well. So I get to the counter with the lunch special in mind, thinking I’d have my pick of their many varieties. Nope, just a handful are offered for the special. So I chose the Vegetarian(I wanted BBQ Chicken). Then I asked what type of soup came with it? Clam. I don’t do shellfish so I told him I’d pass on the soup. I was then given a number and I choose a seat, realizing that I never got a cup for my drink that comes with the special. So after about a 12 minute wait, my order is brought to the table, SOUP included. «Hey, maybe they had another choice of soups just for me?» Nope, I can smell shellfish a mile away. And I reminded them that I didn’t receive a cup for my drink. No napkins either. The Vegetarian Pizza was ok, I’ve had much better. It was just the right size for one person, but after reading other reviews and scanning the photos, it doesn’t look like they get much bigger. I don’t think any pizza I’ve ever eaten had corn as a topping before. My salad was alright; I don’t think I was ever given the option of choosing my own dressing though, but ranch was fine. Will I be back? Most likely, I still have 2 free drinks to redeem on my Unilocal check-in. And I still would like to try the BBQ Pizza.

My first experience at Mr. Pizza was in Korea Town. It was phenomenal and I was so excited for my next Mr. Pizza experience. Last week, I was stuck in LA traffic, so I decided to stop by the location in Little Tokyo. When I arrived at the restaurant, there was only one table of guys. The rest of the restaurant was dead. It was very dim — not the romantic ambiance type of dimness either. I ordered a large pizza — half potato gold and half shrimp — even though I was alone. I intended on eating some and bringing some home. 25 minutes later, out comes the pizza. It’s tiny BTW. For a pizza that costs twenty something — definitely very tiny. I don’t think it would be enough for two people. My biggest problem with the pizza is the veggies were practically raw. I ended up needing to take the onions out(which there are a lot of) because they were so severely undercooked. It just didn’t taste right on a pizza at all. The shrimp on the pizza were so salty. This definitely was not the pizza that I remember from my Mr. Pizza experience in KTown. I previously have raved to so many of my friends that Mr. Pizza was my favorite spot in LA, but I need to stop saying that now. When I asked for a box to take home the pizza(I was still hungry but figured that if I took it home, I could microwave it so that the veggies could cook some more), the waiter asked me how the food was. He looked at my plates of raw onions so I told him that the veggies were way too undercooked. He said that I could have asked him to reheat it. But really, after waiting 25 minutes to bring out a pizza when there is practically no one else in the restaurant, I wasn’t down for any more waiting. I hate driving through Little Tokyo. Traffic is horrible, parking is a pain, and there are many sketchy characters. The pizza was definitely not worth it. I will not be back. Maybe I will retry the KTown location, but def not this one. I am only giving it 2 stars because I like the sweet potato crust. The toppings were not up to par. But it did taste better the next morning after I reheated the pizza at home.

Who would’ve thought a sweet potato crust on a pizza would work? Apparently, the people behind Mr. Pizza did! Geniuses! Definitely try the Shrimp Gold Pizza. It’s colorful and tasty, with mozzarella cheese, cajun shrimp, mushrooms, beef, corn, onions, bell pepper, olives, yellow chili and bacon bits. A little pricey, but worth the experience. Good as a to-go item and if eaten in-person at the restaurant.

I have been craving fusion pizza for a while now. For years I have walked by this place, curious. But I’m always too full. So this past week we ordered the Shrimp Gold to go even after having dinner already. We’re fat. We know. It was good. However, not enough shrimp for the price and the sauce was a tad too sweet for me. The sweet potato filled crust doe. SO addicting. The combination of bread, sweet potato and melted cheddar cheese was mind blowing. Service was fast and friendly. Even gave me an extra small box to split amongst my party. Will definitely be back to try other filled crust flavors.

So my husband and I were talking about getting authentic pizza and he kept mentioning MR. Pizza for the last month. He worked in lil Tokyo for 2 – 3 years and he said he has been going here for lunch and it was good. We finally went and it went good and was a good experience. We had the shrimp gold pizza,(the banana taste to it is very interesting) we had the platter appetizer which was good we got 4 different flavor for the chicken wings which were all good. The server girl was so nice but the guy who took our order was okay. Would definitely go back to try some pizza and I heard from my husband the hawiian one is good. Definitely coming back :)

Came across this place based on a friend’s recommendation and I was not disappointed. The lunch special was a great deal at only $ 7.99(personal sized pizza, salad, and soup). I almost thought the price was a typo since the regular price was significantly higher. That being said, I’m not sure I’d come here if it wasn’t for the lunch special due to the price. Salad and soup wasn’t anything special, but for a quick lunch it is fine. The soup seemed like it was just the pizza/tomato sauce. Pizza was good and filling. Only small complaint would be the small seating area. During lunch time in downtown LA, it fills up very quickly.

Korean pizza? Such a weird concept but it’s execution is good. Ordered the large half and half. The ‘golden’ half I ate is ground beef, bacon, potato wedges, and crushed nacho chips. Really tasty! But I didn’t like the sweet potato stuffed crust with the savory pizza. Service andante décor are nice and clean. If your in JTown and have a hankering for pizza, stop on by.

+ Great service + Clean + Food is decent +/-Indoor seating can get filled up easy during lunch time I really wanted some hot wings near my work place, but no one had any. Until Mr Pizza came along. Funny thing, when I came here, I didn’t even order the wings lol. Instead, I had the lunch special. $ 7.99 for a personal sized pizza, salad and soup. Salad was the usual greens w/ranch. Soup was okay, felt like they just warmed up the pizza sauce and put it in a small bowl and called it soup. Pizza was decent too. Overall, I wasn’t really amazed by anything. It’s not a place where it’s a ‘must see’ type of thing. If you’re hungry, and want some pizza. stop by.

This review is purely based on the pizza, which is AMAAAAAAAAAZING! Did you know that this is one of the only two locations in the United States and they’re both in Los Angeles? Unfair! I haven’t had the pleasure of dining in at either locations yet. We’ve always called in our order. FYI, it only takes them about 15 minutes to make the pizza! So plan accordingly, factor in the LA traffic, ya’ll! So last Sunday, we placed an order for pick up on our way back to San Diego. We usually go to the other location, but we decided to give this one a try. They are located inside the Jananese Village Plaza in Little Tokyo. We made the mistake of parking in the Joe’s parking that’s next door for the mall and had to pay $ 4 dollars! Aghhh!!! We didn’t know until my husband was trying to get the ticket validated and the Mr. Pizza employee told him we were in the wrong structure. GAH. So make sure you go along the side and park in the JAPANESEVILLAGEPLAZAPARKINGLOT! We ordered the Potato Gold Pizza. It was BOMB as always. It was topped with bacon, potato wedges, tortilla chips, sour cream, and came with a sweet potato crust. I know… sounds crazy right? But it’s so delicious. We need to go to Korea, STAT! I’ve read a ton of reviews raving about their happy hour, hopefully we’ll get to do that one of these days. Love you, Mr. Pizza!!!

I have to give this place 5 stars! First time trying this place out and first time for my BF in little Tokyo. I was reading up reviews for pizza around the area we were staying. I was just craving pizza. This place showed up and I thought to try it out! I think it got me when I read«Sweet Potato Crust». Since it was only a few minutes from our hotel, I thought to try it out! We walk there and walked right on in. We were seated and we ordered the half and half. Since I checked in, I also got 2 free drinks… FYI: Although it says«2 Free Drinks(Any Drinks)», it doesn’t include beer –_-«. It’s only for fountain drinks. Maybe they should specify that in the check in offer. Regardless, we got our two free fountain drinks and we also ordered Sapporo. Apparently it’s ALLDAYEVERYDAYHAPPYHOUR at this place. You buy a beer, you get another beer free. BOGO! Awesome! We got our beers first, then our sodas. My BF ordered their wings as well since his experience at Far Bar wasn’t too great. The wings came out and bf dove right in again! This time, he really liked the wings! 5 mins later, our pizza came out and I DOVERIGHTIN! Oh… My…Gosh! Deeeeeeeliiiicciouuussss! Seriously one of the BEST pizzas I’ve ever had! Not too greasy at all. I was actually telling my BF that if this place just made sweet potato breadsticks and named them Kae’s Breadsticks ;), I would purchase them! Geeeeez! It was savory and soooo good. We only had two pieces left and I had my BF pack them. When we left and halfways on our walk back to our hotel, I realized that my BF didn’t take our leftovers!!! I was really upset because I was already foreseeing myself eating the leftovers the next morning. Sigh. :(lol Definitely a place to try if you’re near! I will come back when I visit LA again. SOOOOGOOOOD!

mr pizza will always have a special spot in my heart cus i first heard/tried it when i was studying abroad. it was the best pizza i had while i was there. and their flavor/toppings are not your average pizzas! of course, us one does not compare to the ones in korea, it IS the original location! SEAFOODGOLD: yum! each slice gets tempura(?) shrimp near the crust. it is so good. with sweet potato crust. oh my. i loooove koreanized pizzas, theyre not too greasy/cheesey, packed with flavors! my friends and i gotthe large and we barely finished it(between three girls). if it is your first time at mr. pizza, try the potato gold pizza! that is their classic. they also have a bulgogi pizza, but i think the flavor lacks compared to potato gold pizza!

Is Mr. Pizza a real person? :P Mr. Pizza is one of my favorite local pizza joints to go to in J-Town. It’s inside the Japanese Village. Parking: You’d have to find parking on the street(make sure to put enough $$ to avoid ticket!) or pay for parking in their structure nearby or across the street. Service: Amazing! A+!! I’ve been here several times and no matter who is there, they’re always so kind and helpful. If you’ve read my other reviews, you know that I’m a sucker for people who are super nice. Coming from a customer service background, it’s really important to me and makes a memorable experience for me. Food: Pizza is so yummy, hot, fresh, and you can tell they use quality ingredients! It’s a bit pricey, but definitely share-able among 2 – 3 people depending on how hungry you are. They also have happy hour BOGO beers! Not gonna lie, I’ve taken advantage of this deal many times… It’s hard to pass up! Different from those chain restaurant pizza tastes and I love the Asian fusion. Environment: Pretty large indoor/outdoor seating area. It’s pretty quiet so I have come here also to have business meetings/lunch. Well done, Mr. Pizza, well done! *slow claps* **CHECKINFOR2FREEDRINKS!** Response to message sent from Luis below!: So far I’ve tried the Potato Gold and Bulgogi w/Potato Crust so far but I really want to try the shrimp and crab pizza and the sampler! It all looks so yummy~~ ^_^

Korean style inspired pizza, need I say more? It’s funny how pizza chains in Asia taste better than the ones here in America. I originally had Mr. Pizza during a trip to Korea. Having tasted the delicious combination that is bulgogi with sweet potato is a dream. I wish that the western pizza chains such as Dominos or Pizza Hut would adopt it but I guess only time will tell… This particular location is in the heart of J-town across the street from the famous Daikokuya ramen restaurant. There is parking located in the parking structure which can be validated but oddly we still had to pay(around $ 5) so be careful which parking lot you enter! Inside the restaurant is very cozy and very modern looking. My friend and I came here around 9 on a Saturday night and got seated promptly. We were very hungry so we decided to get the appetizer sampler which consisted of wings, onion rings, potato skins, mozerella sticks, potato wedges as well as a variety of sauces to dip from. Onto the pizza we ordered the bulgogi pizza. For two hungry people I would say that it was definitely enough to get us both full. The service here is also very excellent, very friendly and non-intrusive. I would recommend this place for to take someone on a date because of its cozy nature and since it is located in a plaza full of shops it is perfect to go walk around afterwards to explore and burn off some of that food. If you are ever in the J-town area and craving some pizza, look no further than Mr. Pizza!
