Mot & Bet’s Soul Food Eatery & Catering

My husband and I passed bye this restaurant two weeks ago. We had been looking for a good soul food spot. I looked up the restaurant, although they don’t have a website I noticed they did have five stars on Unilocal.Also, a few picks posted of some of the entrees ordered. Today my husband and I decided to try out Mo & Bets. I must say five stars is not enough, the hospitality alone deserves five stars. The food deserves ten stars. I had the fried chicken, mac and cheese, collard greens, yams, and they added some rice and gravy with a nice size cornbread muffin. My husband had meatloaf and gravy with rice, cabbage, and mac and cheese. The fried chicken was prepared fresh, it was tasty, crispy and juicy two nice size pieces. The meatloaf was incredible again two delicious huge slices with a well seasoned gravy. Creamy cheesy mac, greens and cabbage were great both had a hint of sweetness to them. The cornbread muffin was exactly what it was, a nice size delicious homemade muffin. The yams was like eating sweet potato pie without the crust. We also ordered peach cobbler haven’t tasted it yet, but I can say they are not stingy with the portions. If you are in the L.A. area, and looking for some down home eating. Stop bye Mo & Bets on Normandie, you will enjoy it. Can’t wait to go back.

This place is amazing!!! The staff is A+ and I didnt even have to come far bcus its close to my home. The prices are so reasonable and the portion size is nice… I got the turkey wings with greens/​cabbage mix and yams… I really enjoyed it

Can’t beet the food and prices. Must have the Fried Chicken!!!

If you love soulfood you will love Mot and Bet. I came after work I thought I would try out mot and bet’s and I’m glad I did. I was greet by a courteous and friendly staff member who told me about the specials I choose the meatloaf that comes with 3
was totally delicious the meatloaf was great I had mac and cheese and it was the best thing going, homemade yams with the right amount of sweetness and also some taste string beans and cornbread is the best I’ve had in awhile I would recommend you to come try out fellow Unilocalers as I will to family members. they also have peach cobbler I will try on my next visit.
