Mon Atelier

I don’t even know where to start with how wonderful an experience it was getting my wedding dress made at Mon Atelier. Ali is an AMAZING designer. I literally made a few comments are little details I wanted in my dress and within minutes he had sketched out the exact dress I had in my mind. Ali designed a dress that was beyond my wildest dreams! I got so many compliments on my dress that I wish I could wear it more often. John, Ali’s partner at Mon Atelier, made me feel like I was the most beautiful (and most important!) bride in the world! He was always gracious even when my entire family decided they wanted to come along to a fitting (he offered us all waters and brought extra chairs out) and also the time my fiancé kept trying to sneak peeks from outside the shop (John was at that door read to pounce on him if he were to try and look in! lol)!
I just cannot say enough positive things about my experience at Mon Atelier. If you want a dress, whether for a wedding or any special event, that nobody else will have and that will fit you perfectly… look no further! You’ll get that dress at Mon Atelier along with two amazing men that lavish attention on you like you’re the queen of Sheba! ;)

What can I say? If you need to be the best dressed person at any occasion, this is the place to go! They create clothing that is straight out of any dream! The fabrics are luxurious, the gowns are AMAZING, and the accessories are out of this world!

Out of the glaring Los Angeles sun and into a sumptuous and chic cocoon of glamour. John (Ali’s partner) made me feel welcome and taken care of. The walls were lined with Ali’s stunning one of a kind creations, which I was told to feel free and investigate. The fabric and colors he uses are beautiful and there was such a range in his styles, all the pinnacle of true craftsmanship.
The purpose of my consultation was for a wedding dress. After just one visit to an unnamed salon in Beverly Hills I was done: I felt like I was at a car dealership. I was going to have to pay a $ 300 rush fee, a $ 300 «size» fee, and a $ 500 alterations «package» fee on top of the price of the dress. My dress was going to get there a week before my wedding for the alterations. Ummmm NO!
Back to Mon Atelier. I came in with a specific idea and Ali countered with an idea that was perfect for my curves, he then proceeded to drape me in a variety of sumptuous laces until we found «the one». I am telling you if you need a gown for any occasion, Mon Atelier is the place to go! Talent and taste abound here.

Mon Atelier is a magical place. Ali Rahimi has designed gorgeous suits and gowns for me for over a decade. Every time I attend an event, people stop and ask me who designed my outfit and I am delighted to share that information. A true couturier, he designs specifically for me, taking into consideration my needs and also my individual style. He builds the pieces on a mannequin and does several muslin fittings before the final presentation, so each dress or gown fits perfectly. The corseted pieces fit like a glove and are comfortable to wear even through long evenings. Ali treats all of his customers with graciousness. It is a great privilege to know him and to wear his creations.

Ali is a true craftsman in every sense of the world. Every aspect of my experience at Mon Atelier was breathtaking. From the moment we walked in Ali started draping me in the most sumptuous fabrics and sketching one of a kind wedding dress ideas for me. I have never seen the types of laces and fabrics that he showed me. My wedding dress was a phenomenal one of a kind creation. Vera Wang has nothing on Ali! I had as many fittings as was necessary to have my hand made dress and corset fit me perfectly. My friends and family would come to the fittings just to enjoy sitting in Ali’s salon and looking at all of his magical creations (and play with his super cute Italian Greyhounds). I was very nervous about getting a wedding dress that made me feel beautiful. I am not a size 6. I looked stunning at my wedding. The only disappointing thing about my dress is that I can’t wear it all the time. Getting a creation from Ali is not an inexpensive option but it was absolutely worth every penny.
Oh, my husband had an exquisitely tailored suit made for the wedding as well. He looked like a million bucks. We also ordered custom made ties and handkerchiefs for the bridal party from Ali.
