I love this place and everything about it but I can not get enough of the TURKEYTACOS! Hellllp me! I’m addicted. I need a frequent eater card or something! The burgers are great too. I find my self drooling throughout the day when I think about them. Hence to curtail my drooling issue I eat here as much as possible! :) eat here and thank me later

When I first went to this burger place I ordered a turkey burger and it was decent, however, I was given a free sample taco and it was pretty good. A few months later I was reading a review of their place and the review was bad concerning Taco. The review said this guy heard about the tacos and he went there. He wrote that once he got there and tried to order taco they told him they were not serving tacos that day watch I thought was crazy. So I went by there told the owner about the review and she said, she didn’t care. I thought that was usual. I asked did they take call in’s and they said no, which is crazy not to take phone orders in 20016. I ordered taco that day and she said they don’t have tacos everyday. Today I went by there to and they said they weren’t selling taco today, so I ordered a turkey burger. While waiting for my burger I noticed the waitress bring tacos to people that came after me. When the waitress brought tacos to the first person, I asked the waitress, I thought you were not selling tacos today, so the waitress said that was sometime else, when I know a taco when I see one. So a minute later the waitress brings tacos to another table and I asked the waitress again and she said that the owner was giving samples to them, so I asked can I get a sample. Next thing I know while waiting on my turkey burger the waitress came over to me and said we are going to give you your money back because you keep asking about tacos. So I said did I cancel my turkey burger order and she said no, but we are not going to serve you and give you your money back because the sign on the door says we’re close. Now the sign always says close when there open, and it was 12: pm noon. This would only happen at a place that black folks own that think their chit don’t stink. Good luck and I hope you learn that you have to respect all of the customer. Peace

The burgers and fries are good. My gripe is with the restaurant not notifying customers that they will be closed for private event. I mean social media makes things so simple, yet places like this and Trejo’s Tacos down the street from them can’t even relay basic information to their customers about when they will be open. It’s beyond frustrating to drive out to restaurant and come to find you have wasted your time.

I didn’t know it was possible for turkey burgers to taste this good. Love the way they lettuce-wrap burgers, as an option.

Why have I never been here before? The turkey tacos were delicious and so were the fries. I’ll definitely be back! The staff all seemed friendly and helpful as well.

The food portions are way too small for what you are paying here. To be fair, I’ve only had this once and decided to play it safe by getting an avocado burger with french fries. The burger was pretty good but not as good as the food’s been hyped up to be. Anyway, regardless of taste, the portions are just way too small.

So after writing my first review, I received a very condescending and sarcastic inbox message from one of the owners Jean, she originally sent me a message on Thursday January 14th simply apologizing for my experience and that she would be more than happy to offer me a refund. However it wasn’t really necessary, because the review was just simply my opinion, i didn’t really feel that it was a big deal to drive all the way up to Mo Better Burgers for a refund so I never responded to the message at all. Anyway 2 days go by January 19th I receive another message from Jean, this message this time wasn’t quite that pleasant. Jean definitely provoked me and definitely wanted a reaction from me, and I have her just that. She began her message being very sarcastic and condescending. Saying«thank your for for fabulous review on a mother and daughter spot». What really struck a nerve is when she called me an organic sister.(The picture of the messages is posted) So then I knew I wasn’t crazy and I know I can’t be the only one she or any of the other owners did this to, so I started reading all the other 1 star reviews to see if she or any of the other owners we’re leaving sarcastic comments. Well to my surprise they were but this time they comment on the wrong organic sister review! The issue that I am having is that when someone doesn’t write a review to her liking or to any of the owners of Mo Better Burgers liking they comment rudely or with a smart/sarcastic remark. Moreover if you have taken a look at the picture I posted you will see that she offered me a refund for my burger and Fry again so after going back and forth with her I decided to call her bluff and stated that as a matter of fact I would actually love to get my refund and that I would be there on Monday when they open. She then sarcastically responded with«they will be closed Monday and Tuesday at my command». Seriously!!! Now I received a message from another person who seems to be part owner as well Skye(picture posted) who stated that the message was a misunderstanding and that he doesn’t take defamation of his business well and will be withdrawing my refund. They are a bunch of jokes, you can have the 8.00 I spent, but believe me I will NEVER eat there again. People PLEASEBEWARE, if you leave a 1 – 3 star review be ready because you WILL receive a nasty, sarcastic message back in your inbox!!!

By far the best tacos, burgers and fries wrapped with exceptional service and smiles. I come in at least once a week and wish I could more!

I visit Mo Better every time I’m in LA. I absolutely love the food. My favorite are the tacos. They never disappoint and I love the owner Tammy. She welcomes me back each time with a smile and great to see you again. See you next time Tammy.

I’m baffled that anyone would give this place a low review. This was by far one of the best burgers I have had. Probably second only to the ones I bbq at home. Great flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh. The staff was pleasant, and I noticed they called most customers by their first name. I love when businesses care enough about your patronage that they remember your name. Way classy. I recommend this place to everyone.

Where has this hidden gem been all of my life? And in Mid-Wilshire of all places!!! Anyone that knows me knows that you don’t have to twist my arm for a great burger, so when my friend introduced me to Mo Better, I was down. This is a quaint burger joint located in a very small strip mall, so parking can be a pain to find. There is only so much seating to go around, but the décor makes you feel like you’re in an artsy café. I appreciated that the staff took the time to engage their customers, including myself, regardless of how busy it was. For first time customers, I think you’ll fall in love with the place instantly. A chalkboard with the daily menu was posted close to the counter, but it’s fairly simplistic, so I immediately knew I wanted the 5 oz Turkey Burger and the 3 oz Beef Burger. I can’t stress how much I love Mo Better. I actually went to order another burger, but the girl cut me off! Isn’t that hilarious? The burgers are THATGOOD. If you happen to pass by Mid-Wilshire, look for this burger joint and thank me later. ;)

This place may be a little hidden in the corner plaza of 9th and La Brea. A typical burger spot serving 3oz and 5 oz burgers but the quality of meat is better than the average burger joint. Burgers are cooked fresh to order; juicy and not just a dry flat patty. They even have a display of the buns so you can see exactly how big your burger will be. The choices were turkey and beef, I chose the regular 3oz beef burger which was perfect those with small appetites. The burger was fresh and delicious; it was well worth the wait. I usually cannot finish a regular hamburger but as I was finishing my burger the last bite of meat fell out and I got sad because I wanted more of it! But I just finished up what was left of the sad lonely bun instead. I shared a order of fries with my coworker and they were okay. Surprisingly, I felt like I could have eaten more and maybe should have ordered the 5 oz. but no doubt that would have given me food coma for the next few hours. I would definitely get the 5 oz next time and see if I would be able to devour it. I also need to come back to try the turkey burgers. Not sure if tacos are still available but the pictures look good. The two ladies who worked there were very friendly and very patient while we were deciding what we all wanted. They are very attentive and make you feel right at home. This is definitely a spot I would come back to.

If I could give this place 6 stars I would. Between the best Turkey burger I have ever had and the kind staff. Other then the Stand in Encino(Murray the owner is the coolest)? This would be my only choice to eat in LA. Take your Umani burger/Counter /apple pan/and stick them in a sack and throw them in the river. Mo better has the history, the experience, and baby they got the beef. Now I just need a location closer to my home. Hopefully they are working on it!

Well Cleaned Kitchen(check) Large portion burgers(check) People w/Good Attitude(check) What could we ask for? This place is unbelievably great, I wish I could give them 5 star because of that. Turkey tacos was also interesting. Will surely have of those when I get back.

I work close by and found this burger joint on Unilocal.I have made two attempts since coming here and they had a sign up saying that they were closed for a private party. BOO. On my third try they still had that sign up, but saw a lady walk in there and so I entered as well. They said that I can order a burger and take it to go. Win. So i ordered my burger and fries with a side of BBQ sauce. When i got my burger, the bag was all oiled up from the fries. I was a bit embarassed carrying my super greasy bag into the lunchroom. So i bit into the burger, and the patty was SUPER salty. I wouldn’t come back for the beef, but maybe i’ll give the turkey a try. Btw BBQ sauce was delicious. Another note: call ahead before heading over to make sure they’re REALLY open.

Hidden gem! Heard they are open only during lunch time? I took a half day off work to get ready for my Peru trip and stopped by here for lunch. Parking: Pretty small, saw 1−2spaces open around 1−2pm. It’s either that or street parking far away? Getting here through traffic sucked. Bathroom: they don’t have one for customers Food: Delicious and a good price. I had the small portion. Vibe: A nice hole in the wall with great service.
