Wasn’t too impressed and probably won’t be back. Way too overpriced for a mediocre salad. Walk few doors down to Salata and grab a fresher salad with your choice of any topping for free. Was not impressed with my salad and the service. Felt ripped off and was not satisfied. Paid 10 dollars for lettuce(no chicken or protein in my salad) and it really was not worth it! You have the option to get 5 toppings for free but still tastes like shit. Trust me, try somewhere else. A million salad joints in Dtla.

They always maintain the cleanliness especially with their kitchen. With variety of vegans to choose from. Very plain and simple facility spacious dining area many tables and chairs in the exterior(outside). Had my appetizer salad butter lettuce, herb marinated grilled chicken, blue cheese, avocado, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, appledwood smoked bacon, egg and vinaigrette deliciously craving and inviting. With my main dish, sandwich burrata cheese, grilled zucchini, roasted red peppers, roasted portabella mushrooms, fresh basil. aioli, balsamic reduction, and bread herb! I was so full and satisfied! Credits also to the staffs and the, and the service, were spectacular! Definitely one of the best restaurant here at L.A. A must try vegan place for all !

One of my lunchtime faves. You can mix up the greens in any of the pre set salads, and of course you can just roll your own if you prefer. I do miss the sliced chicken, and I really wish they would bring back the jalapeños. They were so good subbed for the onion in the Cowboy! But overall very good. Friendly service too.

I just got back from lunch and am compelled to write a review of Mix’t. For those of you Unilocal-stalking me, you know that Ive been in LA the past month. I live and work in DC, and my go-to spot once or twice a week is Chopt. Oh, how I love Chopt! I was wanting something healthy and hearty, so I tried Mix’t, despite the warnings of my fellow Unilocalers. I should have known better. First thought, it’s too pricey. At Chopt you can get a big, flavorful, ingredient-laden salad for about $ 10. Not here. My $ 12+ cobb salad was overwhelmed with GIANT pieces of Butter lettuce, with mere hints of delicious bacon, blue cheese, egg and tomato chunks. The amount of chicken they give you is honestly laughable. I suppose on the bright side it was a healthy lunch, cause there was barely any caloric ingredients. I also felt like the people working there were unnecessarily rushing! Legit there was no one in line behind me, slow down. One dude dropped a dozen bowls because he was rushing, and my salad was negligently mixed. He did ask if I wanted my dressing ‘light, medium or heavy’, I said medium, but this must have been LA medium, because only half of the lettuce had any dressing on it. So mix’t, I gave you a chance. But sorry, i wont be back.

This is my favorite place to get a salad. I love the mixt Cobb! A little pricey but also appreciate the delicious cucumber water.

They do a lot of word play with the word«lettuce», for example«lettuce know when you’re ready to order» and it makes sense when you get your salad and it is nearly all lettuce. Mixt greens would be a nice change of pace if you eat out all the time and don’t want a greasy lunch but my knocks against the place is 1) it’s a bit pricey for what is is $ 13 for a salad and 2) they load it up with lettuce and skimp with the actual good toppings. Overall my Mixt Cobb was a fluffy bed of butter lettuce with like a garnish of cherry tomatoes, bacon bits, egg pieces, and balls of bleu cheese. The bleu cheese was so powerful to the point where it was too overwhelming to try to eat. It tasted sour almost. There were also a sprinkling of chicken, a couple of thin slivers of avocado, and one tiny piece of bread(optional). As a big eater, I wasn’t filled with their portion size. «Lettuce» have more food!

Not bad for a salad. But I think its little over priced eventho its labled organic. But it is worth your money. Aside to that staff is friendly eventho I was indecisive. I would come back here again.

One of my favorite salad places to date. Mixt greens has real fresh and very tasty salads for everyone. I always get the«Cowboy» salad because it’s amazingly tasty. You get to pick any toppings for many different greens so you can make your very own salad. I like how all locations are set up, you will usually find a line at most places but it moves quickly due to fast workers and lots of salad makers at hand. Their lemonade a are also tasty but I usually stick to H2O. I would definitely definitely recommend this salad place to anyone in the area and looking to eat fresh and healthy.

The worst customer service. :) You get to build your own salad and that’s the only thing that saves this location.

I’ve been going here for a while and was ok with paying $ 14 for a salad, because the ingredients are fresh and organic. They have a few fixed salads and sandwiches, which are good. The reason I give them two stars is because they are now giving less protein. For $ 14 I am getting a scoop of chicken which is ridiculous. They used to give you a whole chicken breast before, and now I get a stingy scoop of cubed chicken. I asked and all they said was that«it’s changed». I will find another salad place, girl bye.

I used to get food here when my husband worked at Two Cal. Expensive for a salad but the Dagwood is unforgettable. The balsamic dressing combined with the goat cheese and mushroom and all the wonderful green things in it is lip-smacking good.

Came here a few times to get their Cesar salad. The ingredients are really fresh here and made to your order for a price slightly higher than what you get from prepacked. I used to ask them to add spicy peanut for a dollar but then later I found a pack of spicy peanut from dollar tree so now I add my own. I like it there, the service is quick and the food is fresh.

Yeah it’s a salad, but I think it’s good. I don’t get my recommended amount of greens so this is a good place to go to force me to eat. I do like salads as a side, and rarely as a meal. But I like to have the salads here for lunch with the slice of bread they give you. The service is fast, and friendly. I usually get the Cowboy salad because I like the roasted peppers and sliced chicken breast; and a lemonade or the free water. Sometimes if the weather is nice, it’s difficult to find a seat outside. Everyone likes to sit by the small pond. The only irk, is that Mixt Greens uses«Green» forks, made from some type of recyclable material that is very brittle. My friend broke her fork in half at the handle, then it broke again — so she had a fourth of a fork! lol!

Nicest possible employees you could have. Seriously. Variety is great. Tofu doesn’t taste good at all. Lemon herb vinaigrette is really the only good dressing. But I’m happy that I can have it as heavy or as light as I want. Their bread is always really good. They don’t skimp too much on your toppings. I appreciate a wide range of healthy options — like different kinds of beans, and beets, and now kale lettuce!

Has anyone calculated how many millions of ingredient combinations are possible? Maybe wouldn’t recommend getting mango and the mustard vinaigrette, but you can do it if you want. I could have a different salad every day for the rest of my life — there are so many options. I’m here for lunch probably twice a week, so it’s safe to say I like it. It’s a little pricey, but the salads are good and consistent. The staff is super speedy and very friendly. This might be an odd complaint, but sometimes I feel like they are rushing me when I pay. The register girl(it’s almost always the same girl, she is nice and has blue hair) has this system where she switches between machines and she does things faster than me and I get frazzled. I appreciate the efficiency, but it’s stressful when I am trying to gather my change/silverware/salad and she’s on to the next person and I feel like I’m in the way.

I order a salad from Mixt Greens and feel disappointed after my meal. Several months pass, I give it another try but again disppointed. Rinse and repeat. After a few years of this, I’m done with this place. Unlike the average salad, Mixt Greens offers high-quality gourmet ingredients. But it’s comparatively pricey and I’ve never had a salad that I loved. Their signature salads are a better bargain so hopefully one of them appeals to you. Otherwise, $ 8.95 gets you 5 ingredients(no proteins). Then the add-ons pile up. And the serving size is stingy; I often felt compelled to order two servings of the same side just to get a decent amount. And no matter how much I emphasized«light» dressing, my salads were always drenched. There are much better salad options in DTLA… Loose Leaf is awesome and inexpensive(free delivery, no minimum charge), Mendocino Farms has amazing salads for a few bucks more, and Salata isn’t high-quality but offers a better bargain.

I almost always default to this place when I’m feeling gross and unhealthy from eating too much fast food for lunch and from sitting in an office all day. For the most part, the ingredients are great and the flavor combinations are satisfying. But I’m consistently frustrated by two things: they tend to leave out listed ingredients(I’ve had this happen every time), which can be hard to catch until you start eating, and the prices are pretty high, which becomes even more frustrating when you realize they’ve left stuff out of your salad. I mean, I’ll still go here, but I would probably make more return trips if not for those things.

Your typical Downtown LA(Business Area) Salad and Sandwich place. They have a nice selection of both and make everything in front of you. I had the Cowboy Salad for $ 10(comes with fresh bread). (romaine hearts, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, black beans, sharp cheddar, red onion, point reyes blue cheese dressing with a chipotle honey drizzle) Decent salad but nothing write home to your mom about. I also wish they had more chicken in the salad. Might come back, might not.

While taking care of some business at California Plaza in a very rare trip to downtown L.A., I found my stomach rumbling for food so I chose this place from among several offerings in the Plaza for a quick lunch. I ordered The Rooster sandwich: chicken with sliced apples, fontina cheese, basil pesto, aioli, and greens. It came with some mixed greens(who’d of thought?) and dressing. Everything was good, especially the namesake mixed greens. But certainly nothing that really made me say«wow». I do think the apple and fontina make a good flavor combo though. Employees were friendly and nice. The outside patio seating with the Water Court made for a wonderful urban setting to eat. They have different trash bins when you toss things away, for«trash», «compost», and«recycle». I never really know for certain which goes where plus I thought«if they are so staunch about being green why did they give me my sandwich in a plastic container with a plastic fork?» Even though it was priced a little high, it still was cheaper than my parking!
