We moved into a new house that needed some electrical work as the laundry room power was not working and thought we had a short that needed to be fixed, along with needing to check an old gravity heater to make sure there was nothing wrong with it. I called this company after doing a google search and the technician was prompt and courteous. My good will stopped after that. The technician said he could not figure out what was wrong with the electrical and would want to do a full check up of all of our electrical work costing somewhere around $ 1000. I asked him to wait so I could have the original guy working on the electrical finish doing what he was doing and see if it could be fixed but to have them check the heater as that was the primary reason I had called them. He said he needed to reschedule for a heater guy to come(even though this was the main reason I had called since we have a newborn and I wanted to make sure the heater was safe to use and not leaking). They offered me a one year membership plan for around $ 100 for regular twice a year checkups and maintenance on the heating and I gave them my credit card and scheduled the appt for the heater guy. The next day the heater guy didnt show up. I called and they apologized and said they would call me back the following day. The heater guy called me up and said he was running late but will call when on his way. 3 days pass with very cold nights and no heater. No call either. I call again and they set up an appointment for the following day. Four days later I call irate and they apologized and set up an appointment again for the weekend and said the technician called me several times and no answer. I found this strange since I am attached to my cell phone and I was receiving calls all day from everyone but this«diligent» heater guy. He finally shows up then says he doesn’t have a sniffer and needs to have another guy come down to repair it and check it out but that it may be expensive since we would probably have to replace the heater. I said fine as I was prepared to pay for it. I set up another appointment during the work week for 9am. I waited until 10:15 well past the time he was supposed to be there, and his supervisor said«oh, hey, ya, I was going to call you to say that the guy who was going to come had a death in the family and we cant send a technician out to you.» I said that I was sorry to hear that, so when can I have another technician come out? He replied, that he could not send any technician at all, sorry for the inconvenience and they would refund my money. They have yet to return the money. They wasted over a week and a half of my time and finally that day I went to Unilocal and found another company that came by, checked it out that day and repaired that problem and problems on my fireplaces. I would never ever call this company EVER again except to get my refund which I am still waiting for. Oh and the electrical problem they couldn’t find? The new electrician came by and checked the same outlet that these yahoos checked and said«um, this is easy, you have this wire that wasnt connected and it was stopping the other outlets» so he fixed it in about 2 minutes and everything was done for $ 20. I paid him more just out of relief since I was expecting to pay $ 1000 to mistersparky and was relieved to have things working.
