This class was super fun. I love that you can bring your own machine and she can teach you on it. She’s very open to any project and is very free form and relaxed. A fantastic way to begin learning how to sew!

My daughter just took the sewing machine class today from 2 – 4. I just got home (it’s dark now, 6PM) and she is sitting at the table sewing. I was elated! She’s been sewing for the last four hours! She’s making a dress! She feels so proud of herself AND she’s having fun! I really liked that she was in a group of kids around her age. Nice to see her make some new friends. I’ve seen Shannon with younger kids (mine is a teen) and she’s magical. She really knows how to talk to kids and make them feel at ease.

Miss Shannon’s new class location as charming as you’d expect of Miss Shannon. My daughter and her friends LOVE Miss Shannon’s sewing classes and I’m going to begin taking her classes for grown ups. Can not say enough good things — her kindness, patience and sewing methods are incredible — my daughter comes home beautiful finished products and has gained enormous confidence in Miss Shannon’s sewing classes! I highly recommend! I wish I could give 10 stars!

Miss Shannon is the most amazing teacher. My daughter started sewing classes with her in March. She knows how to use the sewing machine better than I do! She now makes pillows and other gifts for her friends which mean so much more! Over the summer she learned how to hand sew and embroider. Miss Shannon is a blessing! You and your child will love her!

I teach piano to Miss Shannon’s son and I have been present for many of her group classes. I am always impressed with how attentive the kids are in her classes. Miss Shannon has a loving and calm demeanor with her students and you can tell they have such a great time! I always love seeing what her many students are working on. The kids often work on projects to give as gifts, as well as clothing and accessories to wear themselves. Definitely check it out if you’re interested in sewing!

Miss Shannon is truly an amazing sewing teacher. Our daughter has mastered hand sewing and machine sewing from her for the past two years. Even the most novice person can learn from her. Her dedication to the community is inspiring as she pays a weekly visit to UCLA to sew with mothers. One class or several classes, you can’t go wrong with Miss Shannon!!!

The kindest most gentle woman to children on this planet! She has also volunteered her time at UCLA teaching sewing to moms whose children have cancer. What a wonderful heart Miss Shannon has.
