Mike’s Tailor Shop

First time to the new shop, since the fire that took out the old place. Glad to see them still in business. 5 pairs of pants hemmed in an hour. You really can’t beat that. They are my tailor of choice and I travel all the way from Hemet to go there. Granted I have been going there for years when I lived much closer. I have never had a complaint with any of the clothes I’ve had altered there.

I have been going here since the 80’s. Sorry about the fire. But I’m glad your still at it. Highly recommend this place. Excellent craftsmanship and fast too.

I’ve been coming to Mike’s Tailor shop since around 1986, when Jesus’ hair was jet black. I had bought a rain coat in a thrift store that was probably 4 sizes too large and was actually turned away by a couple other tailor shops. I took it to Mike’s and Jesus shrugged, marked it up and it was ready the next day, fitting like a glove. They have NEVER let me down since. Their work is impeccable and their prices are very low. There’s the old adage that you have to choose 2 of 3: fast, cheap or good. They are the exception to that rule. If you want something done the same day, they can usually accomodate you. Regardless, they are very fast. I’ve actually had people compliment the way my clothes fit as a result of their alterations. I usually have to go there on a Saturday because of work, so I either go close to opening time (8am) or closing (5:30) when it’s quieter and very easy to find parking, especially at 5.

The new location after the November 2014 fire caused them to move out of at 1407 Santee St, Los Angeles, CA 90 015.
