Mika Sushi

Im going to give this place a 4 stars because I think Mika sushi could use a little more business. Realistically, id probably give this place 3 stars.
The food here is average. Average isnt a bad thing though, you have all your rolls, sushis, and various bento boxes. I wouldnt ever have cravings for Mika Sushi, but its a quick place to go for sushi. The prices are extremely reasonable too.
Basically, youll come in because youre hungry and leave with a content stomach. Gotta eat something right?
Its an okay place to come if youre looking for a place to eat in the sawtelle area, since its usually empty and theres FREE parking available in the plaza (unlike sawtelle, where theres normally a wait for food and terrible parking situations).
The owner does look a little stressed, but i can sympathize; running a small business is tough. So id encourage you guys to spend some of your dollars here rather than the nearby SushiStop or Kula Sushi (theres really nothing fantastic about the food there either, but they always have people because of its location in the heart of sawtelle), and maybe the owner might change up his service for further improvement. Or maybe not.

Owner @ Olympic is a miserable person. DON’T GIVE YOUR MONEY TO A BAD PERSON. Wouldn’t let my 4 year old daughter use the restroom… Despite the fact that she was wearing a princess dress, and holding herself, he kicked us out of the restaurant. I thought it would be OK, since we’ve been there before. Won’t come back due to his ridiculous behavior. Who kicks a 4 year old girl out of a restaurant? Truly, awful person.

I’ve been coming to Mika for years and it’s definitely turned things around in the last few. The service used to be mediocre, but the food was decent and close to my office. A couple of years ago, the owner revamped the menu (I really miss the udon) and the staff. Service is great now and the food is fresh and a great value. The chicken special and teriyaki chicken bowl are highly recommended. It’s great to call it in and pickup from the office.

SO FREAKING GOOD!!! they have great deals and the rolls are amazing! You have to try it! The employees are also very nice and orders come out quick!

I like Mika Shushi and order pretty regularly. At times, their delivery service can take a bit longer than anticipated. However, when it does get here, it does taste pretty good. Thank you, Mika.

This place is awesome. It’s just so simple. You sit, eat what you see passing… tell the waiter what you want for drinks. Pay. Leave. It’s a breeze. Love it.

A few friends came over the other day and we wanted to go out for non-​fancy sushi – somewhere nearby where we could eat without a long restaurant experience. I picked Mika because I’d spotted some people tucking into some great-​looking delivery sushi at work. It turned out PERFECTLY. I love this place. It has become a staple in our household delivery rotations.
The food looks really beautiful, is very tasty, and comes in generous portions. Their menu is pretty diverse, and everything I’ve eaten there has been awesome – gyozas, eel appetizer, etc. Better quality and price than I expected from delivery sushi, and they are quick to boot.

I work next door at the subway!!! And oh my god do I love this place every Saturday my co worker and I always get our lunch from their!!! I really think they deserve more business so spread the word ppl this place is great the food is really good and prices are very reasonable! They deliver too!!! (my fave the heart attack) haha

Ordered delivery a little while ago through grub hub. Low Sushi quality.

Had the Sashimi bowl today, it was REALLY good!!! My job orders delivery from them all the time too. We are pretty pleased with Mika! :)

The food here is amazing! The rolls and bowls here are delicious! I highly recommend the sushi burrito, the chicken terriyaki bowl, the hot night roll, and the sunset roll. I’m sure there are more, but I will definitely come back for more! The waitress was really friendly. she helped me understand the menu since it was my first time here! I will most definitely be coming back for round two!

The Hot Night roll was amazing. Great place to grab lunch. It looked as if there were only 2 people working there, so be prepared to wait if you go during rush hour. The parking lot is small, so car pool or walk over if possible.

I love their beef teriyaki bowl. But just ordered my last dish from them.
I came ordered a beef teriyaki bowl and they end up giving me a chicken bowl, and they could not fix my order. Thanks a lot for great customer service. Thanks a lot to the girl that takes orders.

We have given this company SOOOO much business and always order a big spread for the whole office. They never fail to FREQUENTLY forget items on larger orders and when you call to see if they can deliver the missing items, they refuse unless you spend a minimum of $ 20…AGAIN. I am so disappointed that they were not willing to deliver the missing items since we JUST spent $ 60 on our order… Isn’t the customer supposed to always be right??? I guess not… because he kept arguing with me that I was wrong and he didn’t even offer me a «credit» for next time.
NO apology. NO manners. TERRIBLE customer service
