Fantastic! So, I am probably the only woman on the planet who doesn’t like going to the jewelry mart, but I don’t. I was there with my fiancé to pick up my engagement ring. I told him what I wanted and he went a few days before and scouted, well, when I got there I totally changed my mind; the ring I picked looked awful on my hand. So, the hunt began. After an hour of walking store to store (booth to booth) and not having tried on anything else, back in the corner of the 2^nd building, we found Mijan Jewelry, I was surveying the rings and then, there it was, THE RING, I calmly said «that one». The man behind the counter produced the ring and I put it on — bingo! IT FIT, too. My fiancé loved it, too, but I wanted to be super surer, so we spent another couple of hours looking, and I only tried on one other ring — no comparison to the one at Mijan. So back we went.
The prices are great, the service is beyond fantastic and the selection is unique. Janet and her husband are so very nice and not at all pushy and annoying like the other people had been. They were helpful and we felt totally comfortable with them. We went back and got the wedding band from them. We have several other jewelry needs and we are going to Mijan, no question about that.

31 years ago in December I took my then teenage kids to St Vincent’s Jewelry Mart to purchase my Christmas gift. Because they were carrying several hundred dollars in cash I monitored their activity close enough to see them but giving them enough distance that I would be surprised when I opened my gift. They visited at least seven booths and were totally ignored. Misak and his Father-​in-​law (RIP) were the only ones who gave them any attention. They patiently worked with them until they made their selection. If you have teens you know that was not an easy feat. Misak told my kids that if their Mom did not like the gift they should bring it back. On hearing this after opening my gift (which I still have and cherish until today) I decided to return to the Jewelry Mart to meet these exceptional people.
Since December 1983 Misak, Janet and their two daughters are like family along with their new Grand-​daughter. When it comes to character and honesty Misak is definitely at the top of my list.
Misak has reset diamonds for three of my friends who were concerned about having their stones out if their sights. They are all so pleased with their new designs. I also have had several custom pieces designed with my input and made by Misak. He is always so patient to work with you to make sure that you are happy with the outcome. It is fun to wear one of Misak’s designs after several years and still receive compliments.
