For where it’s located the prices are surprisingly low. It’s worth the couple blocks walk up here for snacks from Union Station rather than dealing with their cramped, overpriced in-house convenience store. Also right next to the great Placita café where you can load up on inexpensive tasty tacos.

Here is the deal i just got out of philippe’s and was going to a dodger game and the seat i scored on stubhub was right under the open 90+ heat so i wanted something to drink instead of paying the high prices at the famina in union station or the ballpark. This was the closest convenience store and they had bottles of sprite for $ 1.09. The retailer rang up $ 1.49 and i pointed out his sign said the lower price and he gave it to me at the lower price.

Don’t get me wrong with the 2 stars. It’s bare bones in there yes. But while they don’t have a lot of stock, they have alot of things a visiting tourist might need. I think it’s great that a mini mart has opened up next door the Metro Hotel on Main Street. It’ll be safer and more convenient for their guests to walk out and get little things they might have forgotten or ran out of during their trip. The plus with Metro Mart is that they sell $ 1 gelato — again a limited selection — but not a bad price for gelato.
