I was looking for a catering company to create appetizers and dessert for my event. I emailed chef Adam and he answered right away. We discussed what I was looking for and he put together a menu for us. He was very open to working with us and meet our needs and requests. The food was amazing as was the service. Very professional, yet very friendly. The chef went out of his way to help us find a bartender(last minute!) after the one we had backed out. I highly recommend using them and I will definitely use them myself in the future!

I’m a production coordinator for a photographer, and we hosted an impromptu dinner at our downtown office for about twenty-five important industry clientele. The dinner was impeccable. And the service Chef Adam provided was a blessing. I had to deal with a lot of other elements and details during this dinner event, and never did I worry or question any decisions or logistics Mercato Catering provided. Once Chef Adam guided us through our options, we selected the dinner menu and they took the reigns gracefully and provided us with a scrumptious and effortless dinner. Highlights: The wine pairing was amazing. I always thought wine pairing was a bit overrated, but I was surprised how a perfect combination can transform a dinner. The food was quality. Many other catering companies in my experience have feigned a lot of filler food for satisfactory service. Chef Adam provided healthy & quality produce without insulting the guests with a heavy ladle of mashed potatoes on the plate. The professional yet kind customer service Mercato Catering provided was exactly what I needed during that stressful night. Even though I was working like a mad dog during the event, I managed to enjoy myself thanks to Chef Adam. Would gladly use them again… might even encourage another dinner for our production company now that I found these guys!

What a terrible customer service experience. I found Chef Adam Lewis via Kitchensurfing, a chef booking service. Adam promptly removed Kitchensurfing from the conversation and offered to book my dinner via his own personal catering company, Mercato LA. He offered to have me put a deposit down and pay the balance on the day of my event, which was a better option than paying in full up front(via Kitchensurfing) because my guest count was in flux. I chose to do the former, which turned out to be a mistake. Adam served a lovely meal — but it was minus one of the four courses(a creamed kale) he had promised and listed as a distinct course on the menu. Instead, he served the kale with the steak, effectively combining two of the courses. In addition, the vegetarians were never served the creamed kale at all, even though it was listed as a course on the menu and Adam never mentioned that vegetarians would not be served all the courses. Some of my guests were still hungry, which was quite embarrassing, as they had paid for a four course meal(and were only served three courses). When I emailed him after the party to discuss the issue, Adam called me and proceeded to YELL at me on the phone about how he is «in the service industry.» So offensive. From Adam’s perspective, the kale was on some of the plates at one point in the dinner, so he had fulfilled what we paid for, even though it wasn’t a full course. We finally came to an agreement that Adam would refund the four vegetarian meals in full. Cut to three weeks later, and I’ve received a check in the mail… for $ 40, which Adam says is the price of the kale course for four people, rather than the full amount of the dinner per person as agreed. What a nightmare. Once of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I should never have agreed to go with Adam’s personal catering company, Mercato. Gotta stick with Kitchensurfing next time…

yum yum yum!!! These guys are great — I have never been so impressed by a catering company that I thought to actually ask for their business card. The food — incredible the wine pairings — incredible the service — incredible and the chefs — incredible! Adam and Celeste have so much passion for their creations that it was like I was at my own personal chefs table… every course was very well thought out and prepared — on top of their menu being so incredibly delicious, they really know how to make it fun and I liked how personable they were.
