Ah, good ‘olé Mendo. This was my first time at this location, but I have been to other ones, so I knew what to expect, and I was not disappointed. The menu, quality of service, and great food is consistent with the other locations I’ve been to, which is exactly what I wanted. The prosciutto chicken sandwich will forever be my favorite. I always come to Mendo with the intention of trying something new, but then I remember how good that sandwich is and I cave into my old habits and order that. HIGHLYRECOMMEND!!! There’s a good amount of seating here, though I can imagine it getting really crowded during a lunch rush(I came at like 4pm so it was relatively empty).

This is a nice little spot to grab a nice and healthy lunch. I ordered the tuna melt with a side of their chips, the sandwich crust was a little burnt and tough to bite into. The sandwich itself was OK and nothing memorable. Chips definitely tasted healthier than your ordinary Lay’s chips. I’ll be back here to try a different sandwich and see if I’ll bump up my rating on this place.

I’ve had the«Not so Fried» chicken sandwich and the Peruvian steak sandwich. So yummy! It’s pricy for a sandwich shop but their ingredients are really high quality. Love Mendocino Farms! I don’t drink soda often but I love their cream soda :)

Ugh so good. We got catering for a meeting at work and it was the best thing ever. I got to try the steak BLT and the prosciutto & free range chicken sandwich. The combination of steak, bacon, roasted tomatoes, red wine onions, and herb aioli in the BLT was to die for. I’m obsessed with prosciutto so of course I loved the other sandwich, but it was the honey roasted almonds that made the sandwich extra special. The bread for both sandwiches was fresh and didn’t get soggy, which I appreciated. I also had a chocolate chip cookie that had a ton of chocolate chips and was awesome too. The sandwiches generally cost around $ 10 – 11. It probably tasted extra delicious because I didn’t have to pay for it, but I can’t wait to have it again and try the other options!

With all the sandwich places in LA, its really hard to pick a favorite, but Mendo is in my top 3 if not my all time favorite. Everyone I have taken here has loved it and for good reason. You can really taste the quality in the food and have never had a bad meal here. I have had a lot of the sandwhiches here but can only imagine everything being delicious. Whenever I feel like a sandwhich, I go with the Not So Fried Chicken. It is a popular choice at Mendo and its easy to see why. The bread is perfectly toasted with the perfect combination of chicken and a slaw on the inside. They add bits of crunchy goodness to mimic a fried chicken sandwhich without the guilt. To top it off you can add or have bbq sauce on the side which really makes the sandwhich. Its hard not to order it everytime

Words cannot describe this place. I’ve heard about Mendocino Farms(Mendo for short) from all my friends and at first, I thought it was a grocery store. I finally came down here one night after hanging out at The Grove and… yup, I died. First thing to note is the actual location. I know if you’re reading this, you’re probably debating going to eat at the marketplace in The Grove… but trust me, Mendo is completely and totally worth every single penny. There’s free parking if you eat at Mendo in the parking lot shared by Trader Joe’s, which is perfect! You can easily go grab groceries after filling your stomach up with some good old sandwiches. Next, the staff. The first thing you see when you walk into Mendo is a person who asks you what you want to get. Yup, this is even before the cash register. They typically explain the menu and all the sandwiches to you since you can easily get overwhelmed with the difficult choice of only picking ONE sandwich(well…two if you’re up for the challenge). My favorite is the pork belly. I always recommend it when bringing new Mendo’ers here. They also have seasonal sandwiches that they switch out every now and then. After you order, you walk up to the bar of side dishes… with UNLIMITEDSAMPLES. They will literally let you try any, and every side dish they have. But warning, I tried the samples and ended up buying two sides… with no regrets. I HIGHLY recommend trying a sandwich at Mendo. There is nothing wrong with you devouring food like a monster here because that’s what I do every time I stop by. tl;dr — Get ready to inhale the best sandwich of you life.

«You are so beautiful to meee» I want to sing this every time my food comes from behind that magical counter. Mendocino is special because they executed farm to table to perfection. They have seasonal items and soups. My favorite seasonal soup is the cali flower lentil. All the sandwiches are delicious, but I would recommend the not so fried chicken sandwich & the steak bahn mi. Prepare your taste buds for heaven :)

Yes, everything in that salad could be healthy but is it working for your weight loss goals? Is that salad nutrient dense? Will that salad keep you on track with your weight loss goals? Would your personal trainer be glad you had what you think is a healthy salad? Maybe. On menu at the Mendocino Farms sandwich market you will find, not surprisingly, sandwiches, soups and salads. Everything on this menu looks delicious and they could all potentially be healthy lunch options. However, not all healthy foods will keep you on track if you have weight loss goals. Just because the food is healthy doesn’t mean the food will help you lose weight. I went with the Mendocino Farms’ Mendo’s Chicken Cobb Salad because it looked like the salad with the most variety of toppings for a meal. When I talk with weight loss clients about ordering salads, we talk about substantial salads. Leafy salads that can also pack a punch with lots of vitamins and minerals from a variety of toppings in the salad like substantial vegetables; broccoli, carrots, beets, or legumes. Salads can also be substantial with a nutrient dense base like spinach, kale and arugula. The Mendo’s Chicken Cobb Salad has quite a lot of toppings, but no substantial vegetables. The salad does have a variety of light leafy vegetables(lettuce, romaine, and onions), tomatoes, chicken and more than enough unsaturated fats, making this a great salad. The catch is in the proportions. I went with the Mendo’s Chicken Cobb Salad. Straight off the menu, this salad is healthy. It’s just not working for anyone who wants to lose weight. Collectively, based on the salad I ordered, there will be 8+ servings of fat. That’s 1 – 2DAYS worth of fat, in one salad! You only want 1 serving of fat on your salad or it becomes a hidden high calorie meal. According to My Fitness Pal, the Mendocino Farms Steak Cobb Salad has 1,083 calories, and 77% of those calories are from fat(the chicken Cobb information was unavailable). No worries, with some slight adjustments to the serving sizes, this salad can work for your weight loss goals. I asked for the blue cheese, bacon and avocado on the side. In this salad there are 5 sources of fat. The chicken(1), blue cheese(2) and the egg yolks(3) are are adding saturated fat. The avocado(4) is unsaturated fat and the dressing(5) they add is probably another source of fat. Individually these are dietary fats we want to include with our meals, however this salad had a disproportionate amount of fat in one meal, if you have a weight loss goal. Additionally, if you dine out with weight loss goals, when ordering a salad, always get the dressing on the side. Even if the dressing is healthy, they may be adding much more dressing than you want, salad dressing can easily hide hundreds of calories in fat and sugar that need to be minimized when you have weight loss goals.

Fresh, organic, and delicious sandwiches… what’s there not to like? I’ve tried several sandwiches here, but my favorite is the Steak BLT. The steak is juicy and you get to choose the bread. Their sandwiches are $ 10, but the taste and quality makes it well worth the price. You order right when you enter. The staff is super friendly and offers samples of their sides. Yum! The atmosphere is very casual. It’s reclaimed wood heaven! I love the fun rustic farm décor. It really matches the freshness of the food they serve.

Mendicinos isn’t one of my favorite places for sandwiches butt his was my first time at this a location. We had the chicken mbt and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were good. The chicken mbt has a great combination nation of flavors and the chicken is actual slices of chicken and it is not dry(unlike most chicken sandwiches). The pulled pork sandwich comes with coleslaw in the sandwich. It is good but not as unique as the chicken mbt. This store is located in a mall so it can be kind of hard to find and get to. The lot has one hour free parking. You order when you walk in and you are given a buzzer so you will be called when your food is ready — it wasn’t terribly crowded so they just called out names so the buzzer doesn’t seem that useful. It is also a fairly long wait to get the sandwiches. I still love Mendicinos for their sandwiches. It is a bit pricey but portions are decent and they are very tasty.

I’ve heard so many good things about Mendocino and finally one day, I decided to leave my Century City bubble during lunch and drive over this one(which pretty much took up my entire lunch hour). The atmostphere is pretty casual, as in you order and pay right when you get there, and then you wait for your order to be ready. Since it was my first time, I tried their popular pork belly banh mi. I’m not the biggest pork belly fan, due to all the fattiness, but i put that aside for the day to try this sandwich. Verdict: Pretty good, but again, all the fattiness of the meat… I didn’t love it. The other awesome thing about this place is that they let you try as many of their sides as you want! So I tried everything and had some serious issues trying to sample, pay, hold my buzzer and all my other belongings. They’ve got a million sandwiches and salads so you’re bound to find something you love and everything was high quality and fresh. I will definitely be back to try more!

I can’t say enough good things about this place. It’s a sandwich place, but I love that you get a meal between bread. Also, they always have lemonade, which gives them bonus points in my book. If you park in the small lot behind MF, they will validate your parking for up to one hour(which, in the Grove area, is huge). The line moves quickly, and there is always at least one person to greet you at the door and respond to any questions you have about the menu or the ordering process. My go-to sandwich is the Steak BLT. It is hearty, meaty, and all-around good! The steak is cooked nicely, as is the bacon, and they don’t skimp on the meat. The pork belly banh mi sandwich is also pretty amazing. The consistency of the thick pork belly is very nice. You can sample any of the side dishes they serve, choosing from a few different sizes, but they are pretty pricey(that said, good idea for a picnic or other gathering). The only side I really like is the sriracha potato salad. They also have some yummy baked potato chips. Onto the lemonade. Hit or miss, but mostly hit. It’s not generally too sour or too sweet, but some of the really fruity ones cross over my sweetness boundary for lemonade(which I prefer sour). They’ll let you try any flavors they have before you agree to purchase. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, and they always remember to ask me if I need parking validation.

Absolutely love this place! Their sandwiches, their lemonade, and their sides are all so good! I love the friendly service they have when you walk in. There is someone standing at the menu asking if you’ve ever been they before guiding you on what you like and what you should order. The not so fried chicken sandwich is what I get every time and I love it! It has a perfect amount of flavor, the bread is really tasty, and it has a lot of delicious assortment of ingredients in it. They’re fast with getting your food ready which I love, and there’s a beautiful outdoor mall right next door to go walk around after! I’ve also tried the Peruvian steak sandwich which was pretty good as well. I just prefer the chicken. I want to try new things but I love this too much and keep wanting to get this every time I go!

I ordered the 8hr pulled pork sandwich with a side of the quinoa and beets salad. The pulled pork sandwich was deliciously flavorful. The meat was very juicy and tender, and the pickled veggies in the sandwich had a nice kick; complimented the pork very well. The quinoa and beets salad was subpar. I couldn’t taste much of the vinaigrette, and there was just too many bits of fruit in it for my taste. As for service, it is the best service you can get anywhere, despite being an order-before-you-sit type of joint. The cashiers were friendly and personable. There was a line behind me, but you wouldn’t know it because they never rushed me and provided helpful service from start to finish. While I was eating, the staff was always around making sure that everyone was eating happy, and after finishing my food… Boy was I happy!

Great sandwiches and salads at Mendocino farms! I can never get sick of this place. Fresh fare and always reliable. The customer service here is really great and you also get to sample some of the mixed salads that they offer that day.

I had the cream of tomato soup here(yum!) and a pesto pasta salad. The pasta salad was super filling so I barely finished it. The order process is a bit strange as you order from someone next to a stand-alone monitor and then go to another cashier to pay for your food and receive your drinks. You then have to go up to the counter when your buzzer goes off. It was weirdly set up and with the busy lunch rush, kind of confusing.

Pro tip: park next to the CVS just across the intersection. We came here for sandwiches, and I’d say I got a lot more than just a sandwich. Upon entering the establishment, we were quickly assimilated into two lines. The lady that took our order was extremely nice and let me do my typical round of second guessing. I ended up choosing an Italian sandwich. I also bought a cup for a drink since my friends recommended that the drinks were really good here. We also sampled a whole bunch of sides and decided on two of them. Upon arriving at the drinks section, I immediately surveyed the possibilities, eyeing the root beer and passing by the cherry coke. In the end, I was drawn to the vanilla coke, a choice that I didn’t regret to the very end even after trying a few others. The sandwich itself seemed like it would taste great. I was fairly excited, and had been waiting for this all day(okay, more like for the last few hours). However, the vinaigrette they put inside for the greens ultimately overpowered the entire sandwich with its extremely sour taste. I couldn’t really taste anything else in there. After finishing my sandwich, I went to go refill my drink, or rather we all did. But apparently they thought we were leaving, so an employee had thrown away our unfinished sides. That was slightly a bummer. We made it up by taking pictures with the cow outside.

Love the sandwiches here. The prosciutto chicken in ciabatta is my favorite. Also try the strawberry lemonade. Great service and vibe. Good for quick lunch with friends and high quality sandwiches.

First of all, the service here is impeccable. In all my years of living, these employees are the most welcoming and genuinely kind people I have ever been served by. I even got a free lemonade! And it was bomb! I came here for lunch and ordered a sandwich study of heat($ 9.85) and the k-town bulgogi ribeye roll($ 12.45). I enjoyed my turkey avocado sandwich but the ribeye was a little too tough for me. The meat hurt my teeth and my bf couldn’t eat anymore of it. I thought it wouldn’t hurt to try to send it back since I had spit out most of the meat and the workers were so nice. I think the manager, Corey, could tell that something was wrong because he approached me and asked me if everything was okay. On a side note, I NEVER return food. I’m the type of person to just put up with the inadequate food because I hate bothering employees. Anyway, Corey apologized and offered to take back the sandwich and make a new one and ALSO refunded me for the sandwich! At this point I just felt bad. I told them to just keep the money but they refused, so I left it as tip. We got the BBQ pulled pork sandwich instead. Now THAT was good and tender!!! I love this place and will continue to come back just for the awesome service! Thank you so much Corey and the staff at Mendocino farms!

Of the Mendocino Farms I have visited, this location is my favorite! Located right across from the Grove and with outside seating, this location is a great place to eat on a day when you are out to enjoy Los Angeles especially if you are not feeling like eating any of the food in the Farmer’s Market food court. When you walk in, there will be someone who greets you and goes over the menu with you. After finishing ordering, you are free to try some of their pretty amazing sides for free. Once you are done sampling, you take your order sheet to the register, mention any sides/drinks you want, and then pay. After you finish paying, you get a buzzer that will let you know when your order is ready. Some of my personal favorites at these restaurants: Save Drake Farm’s Salad: Refreshing and light salad! The chicken pieces are pretty thick and flavorful that complements well against the sweetness of the beets, apples, cranberries, and honey roasted almonds. The pieces of the goat cheese is not overly powerful and offers a great textural contrast to the crunchiness of most of the other components in the salad. Highly recommend! The Sophisticated Chicken and Prosciutto Salad: Overall a more robustly flavored dishes than the SDF’s Salad and just as good! Again the chicken pieces are great but paired with the inherent saltiness of the prosciutto and roasted fresh vegetables brings the salad’s flavor profile to another level. I also loved the pairing of the mozzarella and the grape tomatoes that is also in the dish that is reminiscent of a caprese. Another highly recommended dish! The parking is in a validated lot that goes up for one hour, which is usually plenty of time. There is also validated parking across the street for the Grove/Farmer’s Market but are also limited on timing. If you go on an off time, you may find some street parking if you circle, but it may not be worth the time. Everytime I have gone, the service has been super friendly and helpful with the menu. Overall, this is a great place to eat if you are out near the Grove!
