Mediterranean Delight

Fantastic food and great prices! The portions are pretty filling. Chicken, Beef, or Fish, and a bunch of tasty sides come with the order. Anytime I’m craving Mediterranean food this is my go to spot. It’s right near my place so I usually call ahead and walk over to pick up but they also do delivery if that’s more convenient. I love supporting local eateries and this one will not disappoint! Five stars.

I do not understand where they received good reviews. Food salty service horrible. They try to make up fiction for what they lack in food service experience they better get there act together or they will be long gone. In this area with all these great restaurants you are better off going to y by e food carts

Turns out Mediterranean Delight are new owners from 4 months ago and talk about flavor country! I came here looking for the prior incarnation because of great Unilocal reviews, but this place is AWESOME. It’s large, clean, with TV’s and friendly service. The Lule Kabab was a hearty portion of savory and juicy beef, plenty of rice, really nice hummous and pita, grilled tomatoes and jalepeno, but the added diced jalepeno mixture on the side was awesome! Now to work my way through the menu!

I was craving for Mediterranean for lunch and stumbled upon this new place listed on Unilocal.The restaurant itself is spacious and the distance between the seating at the front is deep towards the kitchen. There’s a hosting area but when I arrived it was empty. A person from the back indicated to take a table and someone came out to greet me. Dishes here are made to order so it does take time to prepare your entrée. The waiter asked if I wanted bread and I acknowledge yes. It came out made to order. It’s a flatbread the size of a small pizza that came with butter and spread of feta, diced tomato, and a little spice. Pretty good.
I ordered a beef shish kebab that came with ample basmati rice, salad with nice greens and cucumbers, hummus, and grilled tomato and pepper. The kebab was a little overcooked. I asked for medium rare and came cooked all the way thru. The good thing is the cut of meat was tender but a bit salty. Overall, not bad.
The restaurant is located south of 7^th Street which isn’t in the best part of DtLA. There’s quite a number of sketchy folks lingering in the outside seating and some exchanging transactions. Glad I didn’t choose to sit outside since some of the transients were sitting on the chairs and placing their belongings on the tables. Someone came from the back part of the restaurant to push them away but one decided to stick around anyways.
Service here is just okay. With the exception of bringing me the flatbread and bring out my dish, that’s all the service I received. No one check to see how the meal was or to bring out water. Mediterranean Delight has some potential but needs a bit of work.

Great Kabob! Great service! The Lule kabob is my favorite, and the chicken is so savory. I would most definitely come back to this place. They have t.v. and can host a huge party.

I was very hungry and this was the first restaurant I saw so decided to eat there (excellent decision). This restaurant is very clean. It has friendly staff, and the food was served fast. The food was great and well served (big portions).

We had the chicken and beef (substituted the ground beef for shish kabob) and the chicken was tender and the beef was juicy. Both were flavorful in its own way. The rice just melted in my mouth. For realz, the rice melts. It is fluffy and just straight up yummy! The hummus portion on the plate was small but I’m glad it was there because it was has flavor while being fresh and light tasting and not overly heavy.
Oh, they give fresh baked bread complimentary with olive oil, tomato, feta cheese in a saucer.
Clean décor. Nothing fancy. Def coming back.
In fact, I don’t know if I want to leave a review because it isn’t super crowded. Not yet.

Very yummy! I haven’t been to Downtown L. A in forever. This restaurant used to be a dump years ago. The employees said it has changed ownership a few times since I last came in 100 years ago. The hummus and the Cornish Game Hen were my favorites today. They have Pear soda. That was so refreshingly different. The rice with the dill was great too. They bake the bread fresh, and the Ground meat kebab was very tasty too. I would definitely stop by again if I was in the area.
