Best place to have lobster and not break the bank! Set price for dead, not fresh lobster which isn’t bad if you have an urge and don’t want to spend 100 bucks to eat it. We usually order two lobsters for 2 – 3 ppl. Its yummy goodness, be prepared to be messy :) Everything else here is so-so.

This place is horrible. If you want to see the definition of absolutely horrendous service, then come here. My boyfriend and I came here for lunch. He previously came here before and mentioned that the food was amazing, but to expect horrible service. However, I was unprepared and was appalled by how this place was still open and thriving. First it started off well. Server took down our order. We orders honey walnut shrimp and beef loc lac. It took them 45 minutes to bring our dishes out. We were starving! But then we couldn’t start on our dishes because they didn’t bring out our rice. We waited for 25 minutes and could not get any passing server’s attention. Somehow, the couple next to us who walked in 30 minutes after us got their rice first. My boyfriend actually had to get up and walk to the entrance of the kitchen to ask for his sprite. However, when he stood at the entrance of the kitchen where servers were rushing in and out, no one even bothered to stop to ask him what he needed. Finally, a busboy did. Thank God! When he came back to our table, our rice was still not out. We waited another 10 minutes for our rice and I almost lost it. The couple next to us actually GAVEUS their rice because they saw us dying. THATISHOWBADTHESERVICEIS! When I finally got to taste the food, it was pretty good. However, I was so upset and angry from being ignored so much, that I couldn’t even enjoy it. I’ve never had such an angry unsatisfying meal. I literally just wanted to jolt out of there as fast as possible. Never going back!

Mayflower is one of my family’s favorite Chinese Restaurant. It’s definitely not the best out there, but it’s cheap and tasty. They also open late plus service is quick. Parking can be crazy though during busy days and service can be slow as well. Plus, it’s cash only. But really, if you’re looking for decent price chinese food that is filling. Then this is a place to go!

We dined here after a long exhausting evening — with curry chicken + beef with black bean sauce + lobster and rice. Dessert of tapioca soup was free. As you can see in the images posted — their portions were GENEROUS and the flavors just wonderful — like Mom used to make. So — service was attentive and above and beyond for a Chinese establishment. Parking is limited but available and FREE in back. So — ambiance is well — middle grade but clean and bright. No slippery floors or dirty tables or seats. Bathrooms — well — not so hot but I don’t go for the bathrooms — I go for the food! Anyways — why did I award 5 loft stars? Because the service is always with a smile and over the top — the food tastes great — and portion sizes are excessive — especially for the $. So what’s there NOT to like which matters?

I wrote a review but accidentally submitted without putting my star in. Re-cap: Very filthy(that explains why they have a B Rating). Bad service.

You know a Chinese restaurant caters to a Filipino demographic when pictures of Manny Pacquiao adorn most of its walls. I’m not sure how Mayflower came to be such a beloved eatery with Filipinos, but I’d guess that it was all of the L.A. workers from my dad’s generation who found it convenient for their lunch breaks. My family has frequented Mayflower for many years and we always enjoy our meals here. It’s not the cleanest restaurant, but the food is delicious and crowd-pleasing. Things we seem to always get include the fried pork chops, walnut shrimp, steamed fish, house special fried rice … actually, we’ve probably tried most of the dishes here and never been disappointed. Service is decent, but the food is fairly priced and you’ll go home with leftovers. Definitely come here with family or a large group so you can sample all of the good eats before you take pictures with one of Pacquiao’s replica championship belts.

Eating here is nothing special. Food is ordinary and happy hour is only until 4:00 pm on weekdays. There’s no free hot tea, no free soup nor rice. I just tried eating there for a change but i’m sure we won’t be coming back. My family and i will go back to our usual favorite chinese restaurant in the area.

Quick, cheap, chinese food. Apparently the Pac-man is a huge fan of this place; there are pictures all over the restaurant with him and the owners. The lunch special is cheap and the portions are family size. Everything tried there is average. The sauces kind of taste the same… Expect what you pay for. Step up from Panda Express; you;ll love the tea they give you to wash away all that greasyness!

We went here around noon, the place wasn’t too busy but filled up as we ate. We waited around 15 – 20 minutes for all of our food to come. The plates were inexpensive at around $ 6 – 7 per plate, and the 8 of us weren’t able to finish all of the food. We heard about this place because of Manny Pacquiao eating here a few times. Food was decent, but the service definitely could be better.

Was on my yearly Chinatown shopping outing with my friend. I always forget how gross their bathroom was so I need to make a mental note whenever I go to Mayflower. My friend and I ordered the following: Shrimp Lobster Sauce — It was good, shrimp was decent size. Spicy string beans — It was good, huge portions BBQ Pork Chow Mein — It was good. As you can see by my lack of enthusiasm of describing the food, I’m not a big fan of Chinese food because I’m Chinese and I grew up eating this stuff. I told my friend that when we go next time, we need to find a great Vietnamese restaurant. I will eat that anytime!

About the only real thing of interest here was the abundance of Manny Pacquiao pics and posters — and a replica of his heavyweight belt — in the dining room. The food was average. The board of health rating was a ‘B’. I went there as a guest of some other people. It was a 10 course meal. I ate way too much. Some of the entrees were good — the hot and sour soup and the beef/sweet rolls were nice.

I didn’t know. But now I do. Another one of those places where you know they care more about the food than anything else. Lobster, perfectly seasoned. Fried rice, boom! Beef bun, insane. I’m always going to eat a duck if I see it on the menu. Roasted duck, incredible. And if that’s not enough, we were lucky enough to catch some real deal karaōke superstars doing their thing in the next room.

This restaurant does not deserve a star!!! Not even one!!! I’ve never met such rude waiters and waitresses! I can’t speak about their food, i was not able to try it, WHY!!! Because we chose to leave right away. We went there early, about 3 or 4 families inside, NOT A LOT! So we thought there was no problem with the waiting time, they gave us a table and menu and that’s it!!! Did not even come back to take our orders… my mother in law called the attention of one waitress(signaling her to come) but she looked right at my mother in law and did not bother to ask what it is that my mother in law wants. such a snob!!! Then my father in law, pretty upset, went to the front desk where the waitresses were gathered, and asked them to assist us, again no help came. After 5 mins we decided to leave. There is no excuse for such a horrible service like that. When your business is open, make sure you are ready to do your job.

With a big family, this restaurant was perfect for us. Before, we were always here. We gave it a try recently, and the service is so bad. Most(or all?) of the workers do not speak English, so it was hard for us to ask how certain dish is cooked or what’s included on it. The lady that took our order kept pushing us on getting soup, like damn we did not want soup! It was so irritating. Then, when I asked for a knife, she gave one that is not washed. So fxcking disgusting! The food was alright, the best one is their lobster special!!! Extensive menu, like you don’t even know what to choose and relatively price. But service sucks!

Delicious food in Chinatown and great prices, but such horrible service. This place is mainly popular because of Manny Pacquiao. You can find a bunch of his photos in this restaurant all over the walls too. My favorite dish is the fried fish with corn sauce. This is soooo delicious and totally worth it! I also enjoy the fried chow mien noodles with gravy sauce. Their house special fried rice is decent. The friend squid is delicious but is a bit salty. Also ordered hot and sour soup and found it pretty good compared to other Chinese restaurants I’ve been to. It’s a great place to try in Chinatown for lunch or dinner if you don’t mind poor service but great food. None of the workers really speaks English here and don’t really care to try.

Parking is NOT free wherever you go, but I recommend parking directly behind the restaurant in the underground lot because it’s $ 4 as opposed to the outside lot which is $ 5. Our waiter was rude, but in a funny way. My mom tried ordering this seafood soup, and our waiter said, «No get this one,» and pointed to a different seafood soup. Not gonna lie, her assertiveness was intimidating so we just said okay. She assured us it was better so we listened. Then we were having trouble deciding which dishes we wanted because there were only 3 of us and we had 5 entrees. So we told her to take out the soup and she said, «Why? No. Keep it.» We all thought it was funny because she was just dead serious. So we took out the sweet and sour shrimp. She allowed it because I could tell she didn’t agree with that entrée in the first place. We were too scared to ask for anything else so we just stuck with our original order. We did have a great meal and we never saw our waiter again. Sometimes you just have to let them take the wheel.

They have some delicious food here. You MUST try the house beef with buns and house special lobster. They’re really really good! Friendly workers and willing to give you some suggestions if you don’t know what to order. In addition, an advantage thing about this restaurant is that they open until 2:00 A.M. P. S. They were so great to give us free dessert after math I WILLDEFINITELYCOMEBACK!

This was our first time, we had some bio because we went with someone who help these business owners start this business. If you like boxing you will love coming here. the place has a larger banquet room area. They are super nice the owners. I didn’t give them the rating because the food was not exceptional. It was yummy and Taste better may if the fish was cooked fully they had to take it back and cook it some more. Look at my picture it was too the lobster was delicious

MUSTEATS(VERYIMPORTANT): the fried pork chop, peking duck, & house beef with buns. This is exactly why I can never be a vegetarian. I love all their other dishes too! I’d recommend ordering the seafood crispy noodle, house special fried rice, lobster or crab special, and the crab soup. Mouth watering. Just waterfalling. Cash only.
