Masha Livhits, MD

I made an appointment to see Dr. Masha Livhits whose name is on my insurance card. I don’t know who I saw but apparently Dr. Livhits does not physically work at this location. The most important information that I would like to convey to other people looking for a physician, is that this office is not clean. Personally, even an office with old equipment and furniture, can be kept clean and sterile. The wall behind the open trash can (no lid) was filthy. The blood drawing supplies were left out in the open on top of a refrigerator that was dusty. The window sill was filthy and had mold on it, the exam table was taped, and there were misc needle containers as well as rubbermaid storage boxes under the exam table. The outlet under the table did not have a face plate on it. This room was filthy. The Family Clinic is cleaner than this office. Like I said, an older office is something I am fine with, however, a dirty, unsanitary office, is in my opinion, a reliable indicator of the care which you will receive.
The person I saw was not a physician, and if I was coming in for a cold etc., that would have been fine. However, my visit was for a medical problem that a doctor should have seen. When I made the appointment, I asked to make an appointment with Dr. Livhits. I assumed that was whom I would see. If she is not available, give me a different date or tell me that I can see someone else, it’s called transparency and it’s about a patient’s rights, informed consent and being in control of one’s own health decisions.
I made a complaint to my health insurance (Molina) and advise existing members to speak up. I PAY to have this plan and it is my responsibility to let the insurer know the conditions and the fact that I should be seeing a physician who is identified in their provider database.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a doctor.
First of all, I called to make an appointment because this doctors office is one of the few that is covered by my insurance. I was told when I made the appointment that I would have to see Dr. Greenburg and not Dr. Livhits, which was disappointing as I prefer female doctors but even more so because it turns out Dr. Greenburg is not a doctor at all.
The office smelled of urine and vomit. The front desk staff had supplies that were hello kitty themed, cute but unprofessional. As I filled out my paper work, I sat in a waiting room that was disgusting and filthy, I thought that I should leave but I stayed because I really needed to see a doctor, and I thought I would see one.
I was finally called back and the so-​called doctor grabbed my hand, didn’t let go, and seemed shocked that I was there at all, and asked me repeatedly in bewilderment as to why I was there. He then continued to make inappropriate comments which were both borderline sexist and racist. He ended up telling me to take over the counter medicine to feel better, couldn’t remember the names of any specialists to refer me to, and told me to come back later to get my blood drawn for normal testing. Why would I come back for something they should have done during that visit? I’m glad I never went back, because I could honestly never trust this clinics hygiene. On top of all of this, they had a fridge with food in it in the exam rooms with medical equipment on top of the fridge, this is a big no no. This is just a peak into how horrible this entire experience was.
On top of all of this, they billed my insurance $ 500 when I went in for a physical which should be free. If you can go anywhere else, I would advise it!

I really like the doctor. The reason I only gave her 3 stars is because of her staff. Every time you call you will be put on hold and you will have to repeat your question a few times because they forget what you asked after putting you on hold. They never call you to tell you when your test results are in or to confirm your appointment. Also if you are sensitive to the type of needles they use don’t go here. Even when you say «last time the needle really hurt can you us a smaller needle?’ they say no.
I really like the Doctor but the staff is so bad!
