Mary’s seems to be part of a group of similar looking carts around Santee Alley run by Jesus and Danny. They all sell delicious $ 3 bacon wrapped hot dogs with guacamole, salsa, grilled jalapeño and caramelized onion. Of all the bacon-wrapped dog vendors, I trust her the most, because she also sells fruit and salad and she is by the store where I buy tees for yoga.

Mary’s Hot dog cart is always parked on the south side of Los Angeles street, between 8th and 9th. Ever since I discover her, I’ve been walking over to grab quick lunches to go. The chicken quesadilla was scrumptiously good. She adds salads, avocado, and grilled chili on the side. Other than hot dogs and chicken quesadillas, she also sells packed fruits and chips on the side. Fresh fruits are $ 3 a box. Water melon was pretty good for the season. Make sure you bring exact change to avoid having her or yourself going from store to store getting single dollar bills.
