Went with the BF after looking at Unilocal and finding out they serve blood clams(pata De mula). We arrived and there were few people but then again it was only 3ish on a Friday afternoon. We ordered a beer for him and a michelada for me. It was good and a decent size. For starters we had a dozen oysters and ½ a dozen blood clams. Both were fresh and really good! We orders for the main course a pescado zarandeado. Its a fish that is cooked on a open fire grill head and all It came with a side salad, tortillas cooked on the fire and a side lemon chilli sauce that is very good if you like spicy and lemony. Mmmm There was only one waiter so service was a bit slow. If you order the fish like we did it will take a bit of time as its prepared as you order. Definitely worth it though. My bf is already talking about going back.

The micheladas are good. They have a good tasting chilli powder… I recommend the shrimp ceviche and the aguachille.

My 3 time here and has been the worst service I’ve gotten except for the second server that had to pick up the slack of the kid that didn’t know what he was doing and was so rude ! The food was good except for the mixta tostada that should’ve been called a Jaiba tosta don’t know where the other fish was in there. By the time I had to pay the kid came back and stood there to see what kind of tip I was going to give him he’s lucky he got anything from me . Last time I’ll ever eat here

Meh. This place is a hole in the wall using low quality seafood but charging non hole in wall prices. Hubby and I got aguachiles, their«boiling crab» shrimp(off menu) and a michelada and our bill came out to $ 54 before tip. I dunno how because I didn’t even look at our check. My mistake. The aguachiles was decent but they didn’t bring out the salad and rice that the menu said it comes with. So we had to all for some rice. Maybe they charged us for the rice? Whatever. Their«boiling crab» shrimp must be the culprit for our abnormally large bill. Honestly, I’d rather go to boiling crab. The quality of the shrimp was very poor. The meat wasn’t firm and it did not hold up very well to peeling. Also, I felt I spent more time swatting away flies than eating. I also saw a man in the kitchen area picking stuff in his teeth. Lovely to see inside a kitchen. Also, Micheal J. Got the wrong restaurant. There are no burritos or tortoises(haha) here.

Suprisingly impressed. Cocktel de camaron full of flavor without me even adding Limon and tapatio. Micheladas? I’m not a big fan of them. But here? dizzzam it was tastey. Would definitely come back.

This is literally a hole in the wall kind of establishment, the food is amazing and made with lots of care. It seems like proprietors actually run it because service is always top notch. My favorite is their caldo de pescado, full of the same flavors as the one in our family recipe. Another favorite is their agua chile, which fills and satiates all tastebuds in my mouth. Don’t let its exterior fool you, inside you will find a marisco paradise.

Horrible place!!! Never go there, they had cockroaches walking around like they owned the place very disgusting! I give it a 0 rating! Bad service only one person handling orders, food was late and served one at a time NOT cool when you are trying to enjoy family vacation and you can not eat all at once. Fish tacos were burnt crumbs of fish, shrimp was not cleaned well. Overall the place needs to be cleaned. We only went there because of the Unilocal ratings. Who ever gave them high ratings must not know authentic seafood. I am from Sinaloa so I know what good seafood is, definitely not this place. Waste of money and time waiting.

This is by far one of the best Mexican food restaurants in Los Angeles. The burritos and tacos and tortoise are all fantastic but what makes this place better than the other Mexican food restaurants in the area is there a ray of amazing seafood creations. All of the people who work here are simply fantastic and the karaōke is a unique and very fun addition.

I’ve been trying to find a good mariscos spot close to home so I Unilocaled this place the employees were super friendly and nice I placed the order to go but they said you can always call before and order too. I have to say it was delicious!!! I had the agua chile and they were able to make it mild for me which was cool I will be back again but next time I will ask them to add sliced avocado which will really enhance the flavor. I can’t wait to try some of the other items on the menu! If you enjoy mariscos like I do you definitely need to try this spot!!!

I’m giving them a 5 star rating based on the food only. The michelada’s are delicious. I tried the prepared oysters and the aguachili’s. The oysters and aguachili’s were super fresh, very cold, and super delicious. The best seafood place ever!!! The service is horrible(as far as the waiter) and very slow. You can tell either the guy doesn’t care or he just has no experience. The place is very outdated and looks a bit scary for being a restaurant just because it doesn’t look presentable, but the food is amazing!!!

I’ve been living in the neighborhood for years and have seen this place every time I’ve gone to the post office(next door). I always see the cooks outside grilling fish. So, I went for it. It was packed outside so we went in and ordered a few Modelos which I think is a must if you’re gonna be eating seafood. The real rockstar is the fish, pescado zarandeado. I spoke to the owner’s son and he told me they bring it from Mex. every week and they only have it available Fri, Sat, and Sun. So, we put in our order. They grill it outside and it takes a bit. My suggestion is, call ahead and order. Just tell them how big you want it and they’ll start cooking it before you arrive. Another tip he gave me, if shrimp is your thing, get the«Camarones a la Kora», he says they’re their #2 seller, after the fish. We got chips and salsa which was delicious. A perfect amount of burn, definitely not the garbage you get at El Torito. I asked to get an order of guacamole, they said they didn’t sell it but they’d be more than glad to make me bowl. We ordered a fish taco and a shrimp taco to start. Great flavor. Good amount of seasoning. After the tacos and a few rounds of beers the fish arrived at our table, along with a nice stack of tortillas. It was delicious!!! Grilled, butterfly cut, perfectly cooked. Highly recommend. No utensils needed… pulled the chunks of meat off, laced the tortilla w/the salsa they had brought earlier, a little guacamole, a little bit of squeezed lemon, and make yourself some fresh fish tacos. Look, it’s a small, family owned restaurant in the heart of El Sereno. It’s not fancy, a little outdated, and their service can use some work but hey, it is what it is. If you can look past all that and give it shot, you’re in for some real good seafood.

I came with my parents & I went there for their«pescado sarandeado» & it was VERY gooood! The salsa that came with it was so good and spicy & the rice was OMG delicious… but I couldnt give it 5 stars because of 1. the service it wasnt the worst but not the best either 2. they use plastic plates(the real cheap ones that fold easily) plastic forks & plastic cups for the MICHELADAS… I hate eating on plastic anything specially if i go out to eat. 3. the tables & chairs suck.
