Not good– had the coctel de camarón. Shrimp were flavorless and barely any veggies in it, caldo was watered down. Basically just filled me up.

We found quick parking on a Sunday. The food was good. Had the shrimp cocktail and campechana ! Hey don’t have ice :(and their crackers are made of cement. We BYOB and no one said anything, so we were happy. Fish tacos were good as well. Service was friendly. I would come back if in the area.

Cash only joint & no atm close by. Had to go to a nearby coin laundry for the cash withdrawal. No parking, look for street parking Shrimp cocktail had bad tomato juice in it. Shrimps weren’t fresh either. Imitation crab wasn’t something I’d crave again. Tostadas were hard-crispy. I don’t think Mexican food is this bad. I’ll try some other place

This place mariscos is not that good compare to colima on Alvarado or on 3rd st ! I thought this colima was the same as the other 2 locations that have really good mariscos! The flavor here is diffent so don’t expect the the same quality mariscos! Don’t come here! vist the other2 locations!

Very disappointed. Parking– no parking need to find on street Building– small with 2 outdoor tables. Located next to car wash. I really didn’t mind the location but I didn’t expect anything fancy. Food– Shrimp cocktail had few shrimp and tomato in it tasted old. Tostado Mixta was even worse. The crab was in strips and hard, some avocado slices, some shrimp slices, and the worst was the fish on bottom. It was smashed up fish that was pink orange in color. Lastly, we had oysters. Those were good. The actually tostada shells were hard. Would I return? No

White guy here. Just stopped in for lunch and had absolutely no issues like what somebody else said. Food was great.

I love that this place is just up the street. Cash only and they have no ATM. I’ve only had the coctel de camaron which was pretty excellent. I noticed they didn’t clean(devein) the shrimp but other than that the coctel was spot on. Ordering was quick and easy.

Authentic Mexican seafood offered here. Prices are actually $$-$$$ but taste and love to prepare dishes are well worth it. My previous orders have included shrimp cocktails, shrimp garlic meal, and shrimp ranchero meal. Beans and rice are as authentic as they can be. Only drawbacks: expect to wait for a table when busy or to be served and cash only.

Have never had a problem coming here. Everytime my girlfriend and I are in the area we have to stop here. The food ofered is AUTHENTIC Mexican seafood so for people to complain about ketchup in the«cocktail» is pretty ignorant obviously you have never had a real Cocktel, and ofcourse the spicy food is going to be spicy COMEONNOW its not taco bell!

I came in, sat down at a table and was ignored for 10 minutes while other people who came in after me where greeted. given menus and served immediately. I finally went up to the counter and got a menu, and flagged down a waiter to take my order. I actually felt I was being discriminated against and felt unwelcome because I’m not Latino. The food was great, but they made it very clear by their behavior that I wasn’t welcome there.

Homegirl who gave it 5 stars must be related to the owner because the joint was a total FAIL. Your first indication should be the fact thats its connected to a carwash. Its a sit down place, but I didn’t get any chips and salsa. They threw ketchup in my shrimp cocktail without asking. The shrimp were not very clean. The ceviche was hella spicy(I love spice but this was not good spice, and I hate using the word hella but thats the only ridiculous word that can describe it), and the shrimp were beyond PINK. Like overcooked and not very fresh type of pink. I hate to knock on a joint run by hardworking Mexicans, but this just didn’t do it for me and my hangover. Next.

Imagine Sunday sunny morning, when you wake up completely hang over, thirsty with a headache. You don’t feel like eating at all, but your stomach calls for some attention after all that drinking you’ve done last night. You’re lying in your bed picturing what food would satisfy your curious state of body and mind… then, you think of Mariscos, then you think of Colima, a local LA chain of sea food joints. BINGO. You quickly get dressed in whatever you it’s on your hand and make your way to the nearest Colima location. You order Cocktail de Camarones(Shrimp Cocktail) or Tostada de Jaiba(Tostada with Crab), or any other sea food tostadas mixtas. They also have great sea food caldos(soups) and pescados(fish). Plus you can order original Coca Cola, echa en Mexico. Then you sit outside this small hut and enjoy local flavor of the neighborhood. Straight ahead you see Griffith Park Observatory and Hollywood sign, and yet, you feel suspended in time and place. You can proceed to buy a huge avocado on the street corner. You can even bring your other food from neighboring places, nobody cares. Suddenly, your cocktail arrives and you proceed to prepare it by adding ketchup, tapatio, lemon, salt, and you can add more avocado on your pleasure. The cocktail comes with tostadas or crackers, both of them have a salty taste and go delightfuyl with the rest of the food. As you take a first sip of delicious cocktail juice, the freshness and flavorness cures your hang over, and as you are finished with it, you feel extremely satisfied. The day has just began… I wish there was many more days like this!
