One star is way too much for this place .
Not only did the person at the front, in which I’m sure is related to the person responsible for this business, most possibly a son, well this son charged me 60 dollars for 6 hours, not only did I feel robbed but as soon as I went inside the room the huge smell of old pain, dust, cigarette, urine and mildew came striking me, i noticed the bed was old and dusty I was afraid to smell the sheets I have no doubt the sheets weren’t washed, luckily I had mine I had to be back at work in a few hours I had no choice but to just try ! It was so hard I sleeped for what I think was 3 hours and woke up having a huge panic attack from the smell ad decided to leave. Please please please do not stay here !!! You may catch staph, MRSA or worse heaven forbid. I will be contacting the proper authorities about this place too … One last thing YUK!

Previous Unilocal reviews stating that this place is «clean and safe» were very misleading. I stayed at Marengo the night before an interview in order to save money and thoroughly regretted it. The lock on the door was weak and by shaking the door one could peep through the space between the wall and the door. The couches were torn, and the bathroom floor, carpet, and ceilings were dirty or at least damaged beyond repair. I was afraid to check if my sheets were clean, and also afraid to leave to go to another hotel because I felt like a walking target with my big suitcase, suit, purse and borrowed fancy car. If you’re looking for a place to crash with a large group of friends which include strong gentlemen, great, but otherwise, I do not recommend this hotel in terms of safety and getting a good night sleep.
