Fresh buns, free cream puffs for a check in, good customer service. Also they have a ½ off day old bread that still look fresh.

I think the bakery is not as good as it used to be. I bought a birthday cake from the bakery. I came in with a Korean friend who heard the conversation behind the register. The cashier told the lady(maybe the owner) that the cake was four, five days old, but the lady said just sell it to them. It was old because the cream in the cake was rancid! FAIL. I won’t be buying any baked goods or cakes from this place again. I would have given no stars but you have to rate at least one star to leave a review.

A local mom & pop shop with freshly baked goods! My favorites include the cream Puffs and the baked bread filled with green bean. Perfectly sweet, soft, and pillowy! Parking is easy and free in the plaza, which is a great plus!

I’ve been coming here for years and I mean YEARS, and I have to say the consistency is definitely there. The staff is friendly and even at night, one can find a nice selection of pastries. My favorites are the sweet potato and red bean flavors. Free parking is always a +!

Needed a last-minute birthday cake at a pretty late time at night. And ta-da, Manmi Bakery saved me! I got their small mocha cake. They call it small, but it’s enough to feed 8(which was the case with this particular one I got). $ 24 – okay, I can live with that. They decorated the cake well, which I greatly appreciated. The cake itself, though, I was slightly disappointed. My friends seemed to like it, but I wasn’t so sure. I did like that the cake wasn’t too heavy – it’s more of a fluffy, Asian-styled cake. However, it only had a hint of mocha flavor to it. And there was this one layer of dense, butter-y cream in between the sponge cake that did not work for me. Definitely got a little too much as you ate your slice of cake. You get a free cream puff if you check in on Unilocal though, so make sure to check that out! They also gave me a complimentary cream-filled bread, which was really good – white, fluffy bread sandwiching a layer of whipped cream.

Small Asian bakery with the usual selection of prepackaged desserts at fair prices! Service was very nice, easy parking in the lot in front. I got a few assorted goodies and while they were all ok, nothing really blew me away. While fresh, it was all a bit dry and lacking flavor. I know Asian desserts are not as sweet, but these were really only great with a cup of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. Nice stop while in the area, but not worth going out of my way to come back to.

All sorts of delicious noms. The cream puffs are actual pastry cream, which is a good thing. Conveniently located, parking isn’t too bad– always a bonus. Reasonably priced– another bonus.

Manmi bakery you saved my day! On a cold winter morning I get a call around 9am from my boss asking me to get a BIG cake for his company party for 30 ppl. He needed the cake at 10am, it’s 9:15am and I’m calling all the bakeries I know in K-town. I called around 4 bakeries and all of them simply said they just don’t have big cakes or that i had to order that kind of cake with DAYS in advance! Uh! I only have 30-Ish mins to get a huge cake, woman!!! Lol I’m losing hope and out of nowhere this heavenly delicious coffee cake i once bought at Manmi flashes in my mind! And I simply couldn’t understand why I didn’t think of this bakery in first place!-_-!! Anywho I called them and the polite, friendly gentleman on the phone lets me know they don’t have a big cake in stock BUT! they could make one for me(at this point I’m thinking he’ll say«we’ll have it ready for you in the afternoon» :/) NOP! He asked me how much time I had, I told him 30 mins he said«OK We’ll make it for you» :O NOWAAAAY!:D! I got there and was greeted by a friendly, sweet lady who even offered me complimentary coffee ^.^! It’s 9:47am and I see my «savior» walking out with this huge cake: D! I checked the cake to make sure it didn’t look deformed lol and it looked perfect! My boss then told me everyone at the office loved it! It was flavorful, fresh and nothing was left of it lol so 5 stars for this assistant lol and 5 stars for manmi!:) THANKYOU!

Tried a couple of items here after eating next door at BCD tofu house on NYE and found one of the fluffy crisp rectangular cookie/baguette looking thing to be the tastiest, the other items were a bit stale. Of course, we came around 8 p.m., which is close to closing time, so that might be another reason why the others that we have are a bit Service –check. Interesting varieties — check. Will definitely be coming back and trying out some new stuff, and update this review with, hopefully, more stars.

While waiting to eat dinner I saw a neon sign that said«coffee» were which is all I needed to be lured in. Quickly activated Unilocal and noticed some of my fellow OC Unilocalers have been here. Even more of a reason. After dinner, while chatting outside with my Unilocalers who don’t really Unilocal except to find places to eat, I told them BRB. Of course they wanted to know where I was going. They wanted to go get dessert too. So a hop, skip and a jump we were inside a tiny bakery packed with pre packaged, single, grab and pay goodies. I picked out some donut holes, buttered biscuits, some cookies. The beast picked out some breads stuffed with things and we paid the nice lady our cash and she thanked us and bagged our treats. Each item was about $ 1.25 or so. Once we got home we started sampling our treats. My favorite were the 2 donut holes. They were soft and chewy. After I ate them, I read the ingredients and it listed beans, and I dont like beans. The beast liked his stuffed pastery bread and the cookies were good too. I think your suppose to eat them within a day because when I got home the donut holes had liquid in the packaging. I assume from the bean paste. I never saw any coffee, or iced treats. Then again there is no way the beast were would allow me to bring any sort of drink or slushie in his 22 year old car that he loves more than me. No way. There are 2 tables outside. But for the most part it’s grab and go home type of place. A okay bakery. Good to satisfy your sweet tooth. Solid 3.5−4 stars

Bottom Line; this place makes some seriously yummy things one of my co workers dropped about $ 40 on a huge box of things from this bakery, most notably was the red bean doughnut which I had never had before. You really have to get them as fresh as you can but they are very good. I also really like that most of the stuff in here in individually wrapped so when you have a bunch of their stuff in a bag, its not all getting ruined. check it out!

Delicious… we stumbled across this place a few days ago. Hungry for some sweets after a delectable lunch, we found it. The woman behind the counter served us with a smile. We tried the rice doughnuts and cheesecake; they were both delicious and freshly made. I was obsessed over the rice doughnuts, so much so that I had to go back today for more. We decided to try a few other treats today. We tried a white bean pasty and the cream puffs, once again, we were impressed. The texture and taste of the filling was fresh and rich. One of the two women behind the counter remembered us and greeted us with a big smile. She was happy to see us back! The place is small and there is limited seating outside, but unless you are planning a big birthday party, it really doesn’t matter. Great customer service and good tasting desserts = a happy camper. I highly recommend them.

Small mom and pop bakery with some very nice goods. Parking is a little tight but if you are there give it a try.

Best cream puffs ever. I discovered this place on the way to feed my noodle addiction at ma dang gook soo, and this place is dangerous. Everything is like two dollars or less. I walk in there as a sane rational adult with intentions of buying one item; I walk out with a bag full of stuff every time. Just thinking about this place gets me excited…

I’m loving these cute little Mother-Daughter(similar to mom & pops) bakeries! FOURSTARS for Manmi Bakery! There is this cute little Korean bakery located on Western Avenue(next to BCD Tofu House) that offeres a variety of cookies and sweets at very reasonable prices. Breads, cookies, fancy pasteries, mochi, cupcakes, tarts, fancy cakes can all be purchased at this little shop. I ordered the iced coffee shaved ice — which I had NOCLUE what I was ordering, but I liked the picture. It was crushed ice topped with nescafe coffee, condesned milk, mochi balls, azuki beans(red), and some kind of crunch stuff(like rice crispies). I didn’t know what to expect, but was so delighted with the refreshing dessert! It was HUGE! $ 5 bought me a double serving of dessert! We also got the palmier cookies and cupcakes, which were a bit hit! What I liked the most about this bakery is that it was run by a mother-daughter team. Both looked very close to each other and they were so friendly and polite. Great customer service with a smile! Food Grade: B+ Service Grade: A– Worth the Money Grade: B+ Overall Impression Grade: B+

I had planned a lunch and shave ice for this afternoon. Luckily, this bakery was in the same plaza. We shared shave ice with red bean and a red bean doughnut. We sat on the little table out front. The store is super tiny and super packed. Our treat was disrupted rather abruptly by the two gentlemen smoking in front of us. I am sure it was not done on purpose… But really, it’s almost 2013 and it should be obvious smoking is gross and causes cancer. It’s even worse then sneezing on someone. Overall, the shave ice seemed pretty much like every other. Same with the red bean doughnut. Overall, AOK.

After a very disappointing dinner down the street, we used Unilocal to search for a nearby Beard & Papa’s. No luck, but this tiny bakery came up in the results, and based on the positive reviews we decided to give it a try. After downing three of the deliciously light cream puffs in about 7 seconds, I can say I’m a big fan. The only question is how many to purchase: a half dozen costs only $ 2.50, so there’s probably a real danger here of cream puff overload(and yes, the law of diminishing returns will kick in around the time you pop cream puff #76 into your mouth). On the recommendation of the proprietor, we also picked up one of the cheesecakes. Very light and not sickeningly sweet like so many desserts.

The korean grammy was sooo sweet! I wanted to adopt her as my own grammy!(my real grammy has dementia now and thinks everyone’s trying to kill her so she ain’t really that cute anymore) I love a good deal! 2 for 1 on day old desserts! I’m gonna eat them tomorrow anyway so its all the same to me! Yay! I had a cream bun thing that was pretty good.

Went in with my litto brother to get a cake for my grandma’s birthday dinner. A round fruit cake. for about 10 people for $ 30. (it was either that or their sweet potato cake for $ 27?) The lady gave us a free bread (a ball of dough) that we just threw away. since it looked like something they’ve saved for a couple days. :P The cake was pretty good. the design was blah, and I forgot to take a picture of it since my grandma was so eager to blow out her candles and cut into it! x] They have a stamp card that gives you 10% off cake purchases after your second. saving that :]
