Majestic Poultry

WINGS, WINGS, WINGS!!! If you like cooking your own wings, this is the place. Fresh [killed] Poultry every day. This place is clean, no major ‘death’ smell. If you purchase a whole chicken you get the feet and head, just like the ol’ daze. I like that they will sell you chicken bones for soup. The Leg Quarters are my favorite!!! Look up at the pictures above the counter for the poultry offerings.

Liked the chicken here but could not find the mango juice as suggested by other users.

Went to check out majestic poultry today. Fresh and live poultry. What a great selection. American chickens vietnamese chicken, Indian chicken, rooster, old hen, silkie, and ducks. Peking, muscovy, water, and squab, chukar, and Guinea hens too. And Eggs. My Peking ducks ran me $ 14 and are each about 4−5lbs. Picked up a bunch of duck liver while I was at it too. Going to make some pâté with it. And I brought home some chukar eggs to try. Good find. Everyone working there was super sweet. It doesn’t list their hours but they are open 8 – 5:30pm

Why guaranteed? Cause they kill it right there on the premises for ya! Doesn’t get fresher than that!

But I’m not a position to just grab a butchered chicken, or a turkey (or a rabbit, for that matter) and just go. The Hilton Garden Inn doesn’t exactly provide ovens & stoves in your hotel rooms.
But while down here in Monterey Park, training out new staff, it’s been fun going out at lunch time and dinner time, checking out all the surrounding «flavor» in this pocket of East L.A. As it turns out, Majestic Poultry has the «nectar of the gods» in the form of the Aloe Mango Juice. And so it pays to stop by this neighborhood butcher shop and grab some great juices.

Hands down!!! Best fresh poultry!
I love that they give you the option of buying the whole chicken or cut up. The chicken comes with the head & feet (a true classic). The price is not cheap buts it’s affordable for buying it once a week for special occasions. This chicken as no old chicken scent that you get from the store. The broth from it is light & the meat is very soft. LOVE LOVE it!
I’m disappointed they did not have quail but let’s hope next time they have it. I had the American chicken. Maybe next time I’ll buy a Duck ;-).

quick service with the freshest poultry & other «exotic» meats. simply delicious & reasonably priced, it doesn’t get better than this!
