had the pork bulgogi combo with daenjang jjigae. it was pretty disgusting. the stew wasn’t even flavorful and looked old. and so did the spicy pork bulgogi. the fish roe stew was also not that great. the prices were fairly cheap but i must say this is one of the worst korean restaurants i’ve been to. but it was packed when i went, which was baffling. but i guess maybe the kbbq option is better?

use to be my favorite korean spot when it was on olympic and vermont, now it’s in a VERY small place. with all that though the food is still amazing, try the un dae goo jorim and the cha dul be gi.

We were actually planning on trying the place next door but since it was closed, it was decided to come here. Small place with booths and tables available. It took awhile to place our order as the place was packed and we had to flag down the waitress. I ordered the bibimbap which was standard. Other than that, the banchan small sides were average as well, although I thoroughly enjoyed the potato salad. I think I could have just eaten that all night!

This place is relatively unknown and underrated compare to overrated places like CHOSUNGALBI Nothing fusion here, just good authentic Korean dishes at reasonable prices. Have to say this is one of the best tasting Korean restaurants in Ktown.

This place is a block away from where I live and I just togo their lunch special for $ 9.99. Marinated pork BBQ and kimchi or deng jang ji gae. It’s enough for two and perfect lunch for the days I am too lazy to cook.

I have to say I was skeptical about going here at first, but I was surprisingly glad I came here by the end of dinner. The Shabu Shabu style here is different from other places and the taste is unique, but tasty. I also tried the kalbitang(Spare rib soup) and it also was quite tasty. The cost is pretty reasonable and they are open late. Looking forward to going back soon.

It’s like going to a sauna. And it’s not that they don’t have an air conditioner, oh, no, it’s running full-blast. It’s the«super spicy squid» dish and the non-spicy squid and mixed vegetables soup that are going to leave you schvitzing up a storm. Until today, I didn’t know this place existed. Next to Yuchun(I’m not allowed to go there anymore on account of all MSG), hidden in a corner, the restaurant formerly known as Sa Rit Gol has switched gears; its specialty is squid. Not just super spicy, but effing fiery. For lunch for four people we had one order of the super spicy squid, two non-spicy squid soups, and one bowl of bean paste dregs, which sounds disgusting but really helps take the edge off the spiciness and is very healthy. I may be a migook saram, but I can handle spicy. I gotta tell you, the super spicy squid was one of the spiciest edible dishes I’ve ever had. Two bottles(shared of course) of bokboonja soothed my lips. And I rarely eat all my rice, but today, the bori bap was gone. But it’s not just an endurance test, the food is fresh and flavorful, you WANT to keep eating. We all left Ma Bang happy, sweaty, and tired.

Went here because Yu Chun was closed. Really, really slow service, but the food was okay. We tried the galbi + neng myun special and dolsot bibimbap. The neng myun was so-so. Obviously won’t be as good as Yu Chun, but it suffices if you’re hungry. The dolsot was also okay, but nothing special. I guess I want to give this place a 2, especially because of horrible service, but do not want to screw up their overall rating.
