Love the healthy food options. Specifically their avocado toast, that instead of bread it’s on crispy quinoa. Another plus is that their non-dairy milk options(almond, coconut, etc) are unsweetened and if you do prefer your coffee or latte more sweet they can sweeten it with agave. They have reallllllyyy yummy gluten free and dairy free desserts too. I really like their chocolate mouse.

Lunch for two is around $ 35 and that doesn’t include drinks. I’ve been here three times and I always order the Teriyaki bowl with half quinoa and half brown rice. My friends usually order the Yellow Curry. We love the veggies in the curry bowl which include kabocha, brussel sprouts, bell peppers, broccoli. We also usually end up sharing our bowls. I love the seitan here even though it’s not made in house. The nori fries and house ketchup are unique. Reminds me of the hurricane popcorn in Hawaii. The service is not super friendly nor are they helpful in recommending menu items(hence I always order the same). One day I’ll try something new here! Parking is a hassle and I usually just walk from my place.

Was in need of a healthy meal mid-morning after skipping breakfast; also needed something ultra clean for the Whole 30 day diet I was doing… stopped in this time since there was plenty of parking(Sunday AM before 10) and I’d ran by many times before since it’s on my jog route. The staff person assisting me was helpful and nice explaining that they juice everything fresh when I asked if there was any added sugars. I appreciated that since no added sugar is part of this detox. I can’t remember the exact one I got but I recall 2 of the 4 ingredients were coconut milk and apple; think strawberries might have been another. Very healthy, simple and tasty to get me through to lunch. I’ll go again when off this strict diet and try some of their meals. Close to where I live to which is a big plus.

I would give 4 stars just because the parking is generally horrific(& also not their fault), but as fate had it I knocked a spot(for free!!) close by. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while, it’s cute, in close proximity to everything Brentwood, and healthy. And boy did it deliver ! I got the Curry with tofu(evidently very popular, and for good reason), and it was de-li-cious! I’m usually into thick curries and this was more of a broth(and super healthy w carrots and a Japanese pumpkin type squash and Brussels and broccoli… which I’m usually not in to), but it was fantastic! I had the option for meats or salmon or tofu and the tofu was fantastic. I even grabbed a bag of beet potato chips on the way out, and they were so good I nearly finished the(giant) thing by the time I got home. So excited to have such a gem close by !

I wish I could give them a 3.5! Firstly, the service is really wonderful. They are always polite, very suggestive, I feel welcomed, and it doesn’t feel snooty like the rest of Brentwood. The space is really nice and well organized. As for the food, well one good thing is I never feel guilty when I eat their food! But they have a few flaws. One, they changed their menu and I think their old menu was way better. I used to get something called the Bim Bop Bowl or something like that and it was my favorite. Now it’s gone :(Secondly, today I went to M Café and ordered the Yellow Curry Udon. The presentation was perfect and I was so excited to eat it, but the kabocha squash was ROCK hard!!! It looked cooked, but I couldn’t even get my fork in it. The curry was more like soup, amazing flavor, but there was so much curry left over, i wish they added some rice to soak it up with the udon. Also their matcha really disappointed me today. I come to M Café twice a week for a matcha latte and I swear it’s different every time I come… But today I felt there was barely any matcha in my drink and it wasn’t steamed well and had no flavor. Feel like I wasted my money. I don’t know how I feel about returning anymore. I do really enjoy the service and some of their food is amazing.

With all the hype surrounding the newest health trends going around, it can be stressful to live in a city that’s known for all of its delicious food and up-&-coming restaurants; especially when under the pressure to emulate all the stars and starlets who live here and look like they survive on little more than air. Several restaurants, however, are stepping up and taking away the frustration of having to choose between health and taste by combining the two seamlessly and turning the food into something unique and spectacular. Upon walking in, you get the«clean» vibe of the food they serve here. The space is pristine, the menu is expansive, and everything is out in the open for you to see exactly what you’re getting. The menu offers a wide selection of hearty and light cuisine with all sorts of exotic superfoods and ingredients you may or may not have heard of before. Everything is similar to what you would expect to find at a regular restaurant, but with a healthy twist– such as the Big Macro sandwich, which is hefty sandwich that resembles a burger, but is made with deliciously-organic ingredients. Their Signature M French Toast is made with a rustic pecan-cherry bread and dipped in a cinnamon and nutmeg-spiked batter, then griddled, topped with crushed maple-glazed walnuts, and served with soy butter and organic maple syrup. It a bit on the dry side, but topped with their non-dairy butter and agave nectar, you’ll hardly notice it’s meant to be good for you. Their soups and salads are a big item on their menu and even their desserts are amazing. Their nut bars, cookies, & whoopie pies are so delectable, you’ll wonder why you ever ate the bad stuff. The best part is, even though they’re sweets, their desserts & sweet drinks aren’t on the heavy side, so you won’t be desperately reaching for water when you indulge. You definitely need to clean out those taste buds once in a while to enjoy light fare like this to the fullest, but if you’re tired of being on that health kick that pretty much forbids everything you ever liked, this place may just be Heaven sent.

Much better experience when there’s engaged management moving things along. A great stop for a lot of different salad dishes/soups/macro bowls.

The food here is just average and nothing special. The tempeh salad lacked flavor. I have also got the tofu curry which was pretty good but again, didn’t have much flavor. The only other thing I have ordered was the miso soup, which was just bad, I couldn’t even eat it.

I went here this morning because the line at Juice Crafters was too long, big mistake. I ordered a juice and a smoothie. As the gal was making the pineapple and kale juice I noticed her pouring a green liquid from a plastic container in to the freshly juiced pineapple juice the gal said it was kale juice I asked why not using fresh kale in the juicer she said kale takes too long to juice so its done ahead of time. I should have left at that point because I wanted fresh juice but I thought I would try it another big mistake. The juice tasted awful im guessing the green liquid was kale that was old it was undrinkable. I love all fresh kale juices and this was not fresh. The smoothie was just as bad. As the gal was making the smoothie I noticed she took out a plastic store bought container of orange juice and poured it in blender. I was puzzled I thought this place used fresh fruits and vegetables for their drinks but they do not. Next time I will wait in line at Juice Crafters. This was an exspensive mistake.

How have I never written a review of M Café before? I love this place! This is a great place to compromise when a vegan and nonvegan want to grab a bite to eat together, since this place has tons of vegan options, but also serves fish. I order from here regularly using LA Bite for my office, and my co-workers love the food. Standouts are the Bibimbap Bowl(get it with the crispy seitan, it’s phenomenal!), and the Kushi Bento Box. I’ve had a burger that I didn’t like, and some healthish pancakes that I couldn’t even eat, I didn’t like them so much. But in general, most things are very tasty. Follow them on Instagram to find out about events! I attended an event they had, entered a raffle, and won a facial worth $ 100 at a natural skincare place nearby. So awesome! Come here and eat healthy food that tastes really great, you’ll be glad you did.

Don’t get their chai latte! Not spicy at all… Just like hot water. The rest of the place looks great though! So maybe stick to their food and smoothies…

I had a great meal at M Café. I enjoyed the bi-bim bop bowl with tofu. The tofu was soft so it was enjoyable and the veggies in the bowl were flavorful. The bowls came with the option of brown rice or quinoa or half and half, and I enjoyed the half and half combo. The meal felt pleasant, healthy, and refreshing. Beside a variety of bowls, the menu also offered burgers, salads, and sandwiches with vegetarian and seafood options. There was also a tempting assortment of baked goods! The Café also had nice and clean décor. Overall it was an enjoyable experience!

Pricey but with it of course! I work across the street and love to come here on break when I’m not feeling Chipotle. The people who work here are very kind. I normal get the teriyaki salmon bowl. Today I told the gentlemen I was feeling a lil rough last night and he suggested the«Pick me up.» Kudos sir!

‘Interesting!’ That was my response to the Tuna Burger. Fish was fresh and the pickled veggies were a good flavor combination. Nice bun too. Only real issue(besides the $ 14 price) was threat the fries were soggy. Good seasoning, but nevertheless soggy. I’ve also ordered Falafel in the past, was real disappointing. They kinda went too light on the balls. Good healthy option in Brentwood.

The food is actually good. I’ve tried the macro burger, the fries, and the miso bowl with shirataki noodles. The reason why I no longer come here is because it’s way overpriced. Yes we’re in Brentwood but $ 12 for a burger and $ 6 for fries!!! Really?!?

The food is great, but I’ve super average/below average service experiences here, and I struggle with wrapping my head around some of the fish protein vs veg protein pricing. I love the tuna here, but sometimes the food feels like it’s been sitting out all day. It’s fine that it’s in the display, but I don’t want it to taste like that. I’d definitely go back though! I really like it overall.

M Café de Chaya is healthy AND delicious! I come to M Café every Saturday after Soul Cycle for a healthy, delicious lunch– I usually get the M Chopped or the Vegan Benedict, but any meal I’ve gotten hasn’t disappointed. M Café is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and they even have appetizing snacks and desserts. M Café is a macrobiotic café and they have options for carnivores and vegans alike! I always leave full and satisfied after a meal at M Café. Also, if you have a Belly card, M Café uses the Belly rewards system!

I met a friend for a late lunch a M Café. I really liked it. The clean and bright interior made me feel like I was about to eat something healthy. I ordered the Bi-Bim Bop after much deliberation.(There were so many yummy sounding options.) I was SUPER pleased with it. I got mine with salmon which was perfectly cooked and the perfect portion size. There were so many fun flavors and everything tasted super fresh. I also got the Maui Wowie juice — YUM! Looking forward to more visits to M Café to explore their menu…

I have tried two items from M Café — the albacore tuna sandwich and the Thai curry bowl with salmon. The sandwich was horrible. Dry bread, dry tuna, just bad. Least exciting sandwich ever. But a coworker convinced me to try the Thai curry bowl and I think it changed my life. The vegetables are so fresh and the curry is awesome, just the right amount of spice. The portion is very big as well so it makes the price of $ 16 sting a little less, but it’s still worth every penny. If I could afford it, I’d have it 3 times a week for lunch. For the bowl alone, I give this place 5 stars but had to knock off a star for the sandwich. Edit: I have had the Thai curry bowl a couple more times since the last review and I’m disappointed to say I think their standards are being lowered a little. Not as many veggies, very skimpy on the brown rice, just wasn’t blowing my mind like before. I’ll try it again and re-edit if appropriate
