For street tacos I give them 5 stars. The taco guys have good customer service. The tacos are good. They have fresh salsas and veggies. They also have chicken tacos. They make mulitas too. They are quick with orders.

some friends of mine live pretty close to this stand, and I’d regularly drive past it on the way to the house never knowing what I was passing by. the day I finally stopped to give them a shot is the day my life changed. keep in mind there are a LOT of places to get tacos in Los Angeles, all great for their own reasons as well. this stand definitely has an X factor of its own about it, and I’ve found myself driving from home in La Crescenta all the way here just to jam tacos into my face. and you better believe a burrito, maybe two are coming home with daddy. meats. the Asada does the job but that’s not why people are lining up. the pastor is what won my heart but it’s not why I’m writing this article. direct your attention if you could please to the pot of simmering greatness to your right. to start off you could probably sink an aircraft carrier in this thing. and I finally found out why my life is so shitty, and it’s because all my hopes and dreams have been stewing away in this cauldron of impossible glory. the tripas, lengua, and probably some shit I don’t even know about are all here fighting over who gets to come home with you. I don’t have any children, but I’m left to assume deciding what to eat at lupitas is what it’s like when one of them asks you who your favorite is. we’re talking late 90’s Saturday night live here, everyone’s on fire and you’re worried that it can’t get any better. then it does. they pull suadero out of this same pot, toss it on the grill before chopping it into an open burrito you’re handed to load with whatever your heart desires, before you fire it right back for the final wrap. at this moment you realize you’re witnessing the Mexican taco stand equivalent of season 21 episode 20, it’s may of 1996 and Jim Carrey is hosting, the burrito that you’re holding is the lifeguard jacuzzi sketch, and the night passes into legend before your eyes.

I tried Unilocaling this taco stand before and couldn’t find it. Apparently they are called Lupita’s tacos! I don’t see a Lupita around but I do see some hard working dudes every night cranking out delicious tacos. There’s sometimes a line but the wait it 10 mins tops. They have various meats. Asada, al pastor, cabeza(beef head), and tripas(intestines — one of my favs). The tacos are as pictured and only a dollar. They have horchata and soft drinks also a dollar and the horchata is homemade. None of that powered stuff. I am surprised at how clean their grill is and the presentation of the salsas. The cilantro and onion are fresh. Pico de gallo fresh! Cucumbers in chile so crispy and the radishes are kept nice and crispy too. Which I appreciate since you can tell when ppl use day old radishes. They get brown and soft. They have three different salsas! Green tomatillo, a green chile with avocado(my fav) and the habanero! Like someone mentioned above it is super SPICY! Try a little at a time so you don’t ruin your authentic taco experience. They sell Wed — Monday 530pm-ish to about 1130pm. Corner of Sheridan and State in Boyle Heights

Best tacos I’ve had in awhile. Guys were fast and had great customer service super nice. Not to mention cheap! My husband got an asada burrito and two al pastor tacos and I got 2 tripas tacos, 2 al pastor and 1 asada total was $ 12 can’t beat that. They had many different salsas and all the works for your tacos. I’m simple just spice guacamole salsa rabanos and limes. We took them to go since it was raining but it’s a «just like Mexico experience» you eat standing there. Kinda regret not eating there I wanted more lol. Best street tacos in Boyle Heights super yummy. Took me back to Guadalajara, MX!

******************$ 1TACOS***************** Need I say more? Just a little stand posted up on the sidewalk. Super authentic tacos and quesadillas! Must try the cabeza and al pastor with green, orange and avocado salsa! ^_^ WARNING: Orange salsa is FIRE. My go-to place after volunteering on Wednesday nights. I usually go at 10PM but, I believe they are there every night starting at 6/7PM. CASHONLY.

These tacos are only $ 1 dollar and they are soooo good. The pastor is freaking bomb. They only take cash but that’s obvious if they are only charging one buck lol.
