Nice cozy little spot. All mexican. Good for breakfast. Excellent customer service. Big portions. Pricing is fair. Good for a quick lunch stop or for breakfast on those lazy weekend morning.

The set-up is somewhat like an American Diner but the food is very Mexican. Good but not great is how I can explain it. But for the limited parking this place could be a little better — their plates and flat ware need some replacement.

This is why I’m an avid Unilocaler. I might have passed this place by if it hadn’t been for some great reviews and I’m so happy I came. The chili relleno, enchilada, and taco were all on point and I was happily surprised by the introductory cup of lentil soup. I cannot wait to return.

This place is a good eating experience and I recommend it for breakfast. I also like it better then the taco trucks for lunch. It’s cash only place, very inexpensive, and clean. This is my favorite place in the neighborhood to eat inside, nom nom nom

Really nice costumer service. Found this place randomly. I’m excited to try the food. My order is cooking now. Getting some burritos. The place is very clean. Nice atmosphere and music is lively. I would recommend this place to all.

Very small and friendly. Excellent, professional service. Service is fast enough to eat on a lunch break. The food is amazing and made traditionally. You can’t beat the prices. Four star rating: No fountain drinks, drinks come from cans; cash only, come prepared.

This hole in the wall is located on the corner of Mirasol and 8 th street. It can be a little tricky to find. This is a locals only spot. Angelos furniture store use to be across the street back in the day. Authentic Latino breakfast. Conveniently located next door to the post office.

I MISSTHISRESTAURANT! This little hole in the wall place was great. It’s the only thing I miss about that part of L.A. I used to work at the apparel company right across the street and I used to eat there almost everyday. The food was so delicious. I could probably order anything on that menu and it would be good. My favorites were the grilled chicken tostada, their breakfast combo(sunny side eggs, omelette, hash browns), enchiladas, and their daily soup that came with every meal. I sometimes ordered their nachos which were so huge that it could feed 2 people. Aside from the food, you can really tell this is a great place to eat at. It’s a family owned business and the ladies that run the place are so sweet and nice. I remember a few times, some of my coworkers wouldn’t have cash with them, so they allowed us to pay them back next time because they knew we were regular customers. I would have given this restaurant 4 stars, but the only bad thing is that you come out smelling like fried food and that smell sticks to you like GLUE. Other than that, if you’re ever around that side of LALA land, I highly suggest stopping by for lunch. Great food, very affordable, and a friendly staff.

This place is a small little hole in the wall but the food is great! I especially love the taquitos! The cook makes fresh guacamole right in front of you! The cocido is perfect on a cold day. A nice place to stop by if in the area!

This place may be hard to find for some, but if you know that little part of L.A. I’m sure you’ll find it right across the street from Food4Less. Its a small mom n’ pop place that you can tell is family owned, family operated and very family oriented. We dropped in because the«mother in law» said its a good place for menudo, well i will say I’ve had better menudo, but that’s not to take away at all from the pleasant experience of dinning in Lupes Lunch Room. My gf ordered the menudo and a sope, i had a sope and a chalupa, they were excellently crafted and i highly suggest adding some of their rich and clumpy guacamole… made just the way i like it ;) Its a small quaint place, with an old school 50’s diner appeal, but without the cliché red and white décor, no they went with a nice cool green and a mellow yellow for their colors, and it works well… theres enough counter sitting for about 12 people, where you can sit and grub and make small talk with the cooks working the griddle in front of you. The service was pleasant, food was damn good and for a very reasonable price. Though the chalupa and the sope brought up an interesting question for me, i asked my gf «whats the difference between a sope and a huarache?» and she answered«its just the shape of things». Its funny how mexican cuisine can have the same ingredients and just wrapped a certain way and its given a whole new name… with the classic delicious taste. «Huaraches!!!»
