The main reason why I signed up for Unilocal was to write my first review about this little o’ bakery. And if that doesn’t say much about this place, well, just try their bread because I just had the most AMAZING Pan de Muerto(Mexican bread of the Dead)! I usually obsess about Pan De Muerto around this time of year – from mid October to the 2nd of November – where I taste various renditions of the recipe. Although, I’ve noticed that other bakeries try to tweak their«conchas»(sweet bread) recipe to fit the Pan de Muerto profile, Lucy’s Bakery makes it from scratch! Hence, I have ended the taste test since I have finally found THE place for my favorite ‘Pan de Muerto de guayaba’(guava flavored)(!!) This is the main reason why I wanted to write my first Unilocal review – so that everyone knows where to find the best pan de muerto! Side note: If you don’t like guava, the cinnamon Pan De Muerto is still a great choice.
