Came here a couple weeks ago. I ordered a catfish dinner and a jar of oysters. The fish was pretty bland, lacking in flavor and salt. It was cooked to perfection, but had no flavor. The oysters on the other hand were perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and soft inside. There was more flavor on the oysters by far. It seemed as though they added seasoning after they were cooked. In the future, I will make sure to request an extra shake of seasoning on the fish as well.

I ordered the catfish fillet, & i found the coating to be kind of bland, it could have used just a little more salt. To their credit, it was cooked perfectly & their potatoe salad was good.

Me n the wifey were looking for some good food and stumbled across this place on Unilocal.It wasn’t too far from our house so we decided to give it a try. Man this place knows how to cook! We got the grilled prawns and grilled snapper. Flavor was perfect. Fish was nicely done. We will def make this a spot that we frequent!!!

The food is great and a good value, but seriously guys– SERVICE is important too.
I asked specifically before placing the order over the phone if the hush puppies have any jalapenos or anything spicy, because I was getting it for someone else that CAN’T do spicy. He said no. I asked do they have anything else in it, like onion and he said yes. I get it home, it has jalapenos in it, and my husband found out the hard way!
I called them back and the guy told me they were closed now (15 minutes later, but 15 minutes before 9 when they actually close) He said he told me it had jalapenos. I call B.S., and that’s no way to treat a customer. Food is a 5, service is a 1.

I got the Tilaps and shrimp combo with the Greens. Filled me up. I told them I wanted it crispy with extra season, and yup it came out the way i wanted. The greens were bomb too even though the guys working told me that they weren’t cooked with any pork. i’ll def shoot through here again the next time i’m in the area

Very Very Good, Straightforward fried and grilled cooking, Good Service! Prawns where outstanding tender and juicy. i will be a regular at this place now.

Needed some fried tilapia for a family get together on Good friday this past lentil season and discovered this gem. Out of all the fish fry places in Inglewood/​south central, Louisiana Soul Fish is very clean, tasty and fresh. Their combo meals are all reasonably priced and the selection for fish is more than fair. I like that I can mix different types of fish and I choose the amount of which fish I want. Their cole slaw and french fries are both tasty. Oh, and their fried shrimp is really good. The owner and his employees are all friendly and give quick service. Looking forward to eating from Louisiana Soul Fish again.
