Astounding fried chicken! One of the best I have had, EVER. Here’s my quick run-down: ~*The Skin*~ Super crispy and delicious. Not the kind of skin that will fall apart on you when you bite into it once. It is a bit spicy and not for the faint at heart. The best way to describe it is: «Spicy» and«Sturdy» ~*The Chicken*~ We got legs and thighs and the meat was perfect. Juicy and cooked perfectly! Fantastic seasoning and I think they put hot sauce on the chicken before dredging it in the flour/spice mix. Quite delicious. ~*The Sides*~ Come for the chicken, not the sides. The mashed potatoes and gravy tasted almost identical to KFC(wouldn’t be surprised if these are spud/boxed potatoes). The rolls/biscuits are pre-packaged from somewhere else. Cole slaw, not sure if made in-house. Everything else seemed pre-packaged so I avoided. ~*Miscellaneous*~ The chicken here is fresh as it comes. That being said, it is not the fastest from entering-to-exiting. Fully worth the wait if you ask me! CA$H ONLY! A bit hard to find, look for the Carl’s Jr. in the same strip mall. Across the street from Target/McDonalds lot.

Chicken so good and cheap it’ll make you wanna smack yo mama! Discovered this little gem through a friend and I could not believe how inexpensive it was. Definitely worth the price for the quality. I ordered chicken with fries and a roll with the peach cobbler they had in the refrigerated case. Wait time was around 7 minutes. I took it to go. When I got to my destination about 10 minutes later the chicken was still fresh, hot, and juicy. The fries were still fresh as well. The bread was just your typical roll, but paired with the chicken, it was heavenly. The peach cobbler was regrettable but you go to a chicken joint for chicken, not dessert. Dying to go back to try the fried fish.

1 star for taste + 1 star for price which is cheap, but you get what you pay for. I’m so sorry to leave this kind of review for any business who’s just trying to be a business. But food should at least taste Ok. I can’t say more, other than I didn’t like the taste at all.

Best fried chicken around the area and customer service is a big plus. Would totally recommend it. If you want the meat to be halal then you may need to call ahead of time as it may take 10 – 15 minutes for it to be ready.

This review is based solely on the chicken breast and wings I had, along with my over all experience. Both the breast and the wings were seasoned well, prepared fresh, and took about 10 minutes for the wings and the breast was ready immediately. I definitely thinks it’s a Togo spot, as there are 3 small tables if you want to sit and eat. My reasoning for the 4 stars was because they do no accept cards, but there is an atm inside. I rarely carry cash, so out of convenience that was the only thing I did not care for.

Simply the best fried chicken around the area. Tried a few of the other places around but nothing beats Louisiana Fried Chicken. Friendly customer service, always a parking space available.

The wings are small but the flavors are big. I got the gumbo and some fried tilapia with fries as well as a free chicken wing with a coupon from this app. I’ll definitely be going back.

I LOVE their Halal fried chicken. The chicken is(obviously) fresh, juicy and extremely tasty. Forget about Popeyes or KFC. Why 4 stars and not 5? Well, the wait. I’ve waited as much as 30 minutes when ordering food from here. In fact, I’ve called in orders in the past and have driven here, and have still had to wait 10 minutes. Other than the wait, the quality of their halal chicken is worthy of 5 stars.

Author’s Note: I am ONLY reviewing this location, not Louisiana Fried Chicken as a whole.(Each one probably has varying levels of quality.) I was judging because I know the brand(Louisiana Chinese Chicken in colloquial parlance). I was expecting greasy /soggy /yesterday’s chicken. But Rain came into my life today. Rain, the sweet girl you will probably order from, does it RIGHT. Step in there yourself one day with an open mind. What do you expect for $ 5??? Uhhh, only seasoned spicy fried chicken done right! I got my piece for free for checking in on Unilocal. That’s what’s up.

5 stars for halal fried chicken. And I wish I could give another 5 stars for awesome fried chicken. I’m a big time fried chicken fan & I always try different places & different recipes. Korean places have different flavors & they’re pretty good. But when we’re talking about plain & simple breaded fried chicken, then this place is one of the best. Why? Because they use fresh meats. Not frozen ones. The coatings are flavorful & crispy. Inside it’s juicy chicken greatness. The size of the chickens are pretty good as well. Reminds me ‘Taste so good, makes you wanna SLAPYOMAMA!’. Hehe Wings were pretty good, but small in size. I mean really small… Cash only joint. So if you don’t wanna get charged for atm, bring cash with you. Parking is pretty big

the chicken was not bad. mac salad and the cole slaw was decent. the only issue i really have is they serve both halaal and non halaal. if the owner is muslim why are they not selling all halaal. to be honest there is no excuse not to have a full halaal menu. i have a tough time going to places that are only partial halaal. if they wanna say its cause of the price then its not a real reason. dont look at just what you put in your body physically … look at what you put in yourself spiritually

What do you expect first when we talk about wings? Of course its how cripsy and how juicy the wings is. Because there are a lot of places that serves wings but there are no place like this. The chicken wings here are very good. I had like 5 pcs of it before I got satisfied and stopped eating. Woah, it was like I am ready to burst anytime after eating those 5 massive wings. I don’t usually praise restaurants like this but okay, this place is really amazing. I had a great time.

The food is only slightly more appetizing than the interior of the shop, which I wouldn’t be surprised if its a cover shop for… other devious sales… We arrived to an empty, barren looking store. While we waited a few minutes for our food to be reheated, a handful of people came in and immediately walked out. The place is in serious **desperate** need of an upgrade: interior, image, brand, and food. The chicken itself was tender and juicy, but the breaded skin was far from flaky and crisp. The macaroni salad was gross… pretty much heaping tablespoons of mayonnaise and nothing else. Lacking some serious love. All around, I would never return here. Despite the CHEAP price, I’m never in the market for bland, reheated, junk food.

I usually order the chicken strips and mashed potatoes and it is very good. The breading that they use for the chicken has a nice kick to it(just spicy enough). The mashed potatoes and gravy is probably one of the best from a fast food restaurant– it is really flavorful and perfect texture etc. I usually try to call ahead because it does take some time. They don’t just have chicken sitting under heat lamps. Since the chicken is made to order it does take more time but the result is freshly fried chicken that tastes even better. Overall I recommend this place if you are looking for a fried chicken and mashed potatoes fix. Also, the drinks come with the perfect type of ice(nugget ice) so a combo is highly recommended!

My man took me here for the first time. The place looked a little shabby, but don’t let that fool you! The chicken was the bomb! I got it with a side of french fries which were also pretty awesome. But back to the chicken… OFFTHEFUCKINCHAIN!!! Do yourself a favor and go check this shit out! Go. Now. Get your ass off the couch and go!

Good but definitely not the best Fried Chicken. The batter the chicken is fried in is flavorful(you can actually see the herbs & spices on the chicken skin)…but it’s pretty salty. Fries are seasoned but bland and rolls are definitely store-bought. 4 Wing Combo is a pretty good deal — 4 Chicken Wings, Fries, Roll & Small Drink for $ 4.99 + tax * Check in on Unilocal for a free Chicken Thigh. Note: CASHONLY here… they do have an ATM in the restaurant The workers don’t speak a lot of English and are not the friendliest, so don’t expect much conversation here… the bulletproof glass should have already given you that clue lol

Cash only Bulletproof glass ordering window no design to speak of 5-minute minimum for any order Chicken is on perhaps a 6.5÷10. Barely above average, but in this town, 5 minutes away from KFC, Popeyes, and a bit longer from Honey’s Kettle-fried and Kyochon(Fox HIlls Mall) i’d behard pressed to buy thic chicken under any circumstance other than it happens to be there and you don’t want KFC(which there are plenty of reasons to not go there). It’s better than supermarket chicken I guess, and it’s pretty dirt-cheap as well considering what you get. A nice combo are the 4 legs and 4 fried shrimp with a side and a drink for like 6 bucks. Also 4 wing combo is 4.99, so There are some ways this place is worth it… just not many. There are a lot of fried chicken alternatives in LA if you are willing to make the trek, but if you are in the neighborhood, this would be a «settle for» joint.

I finally tried Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken and I have to say that for a small franchise chain it was alright. The chicken itself was okay… not quite as crispy as I like it, but not soggy or dry by any means. The flavor was so-so though and I didn’t really taste much salt or spice, but a little hot sauce helped to remedy that issue. I really can’t remember the sides to be honest, but I usually don’t go crazy with the sides anyway. The restaurant was bright and clean and tucked away in the back of a little nondescript strip mall. The ladies behind the counter were nice and attentive and they had a couple of tables inside for you to eat at. Just like BBQ and NY Style Pizza, I’m always on the hunt for great Fried Chicken in Los Angeles and LFFC would fall somewhere around the middle… just below KFC and Popeyes. It’s not something that I would go out of my way for, but I wouldn’t turn it away if I was in the neighborhood and needed a quick fried chicken fix.

I had a friend who was raving about Louisiana Fried Chicken. Alright, sure, I’ll take a gander. If you don’t mind fighting with the same parking lot as Carl’s Jr, a nail salon, a check cashing place, a Chinese joint, and about 3 other places in a 20-space lot, this place is ideal! Got the food to-go, as there weren’t any tables to dine inside. However, once you go inside, and you see that you have to order through a bulletproof window… you may want to take your food to-go, regardless. What I found pretty hilarious about this southern-style fried chicken place, is that you can get fried chicken(of course), boba, thai iced tea, dirty rice, mini sweet potato pie, and slices of red velvet cake! So if one is craving any of the aforementioned items, Louisiana Fried Chicken is the spot! Hey, no judgment… I just think that it’s quite a wide variety of things to offer for a place that«specializes» in southern fried chicken. Granted, some items compliment the chicken. As for the chicken itself? It was okay. Personally, the fight for parking may not be worth it.

I know what you’re thinking. 4 stars for a fast food joint? Has she gone koo koo? I grew up with the Colonel’s extra crispy but lucky Angelenos: boy, do we have choices when it comes to fried chicken! The part that I call KF-skin(OK i’ll call it LF-skin here), that extra-crispy fried batter outer layer on any fried chicken, is the reason I eat fried chicken. Obviously. Yes, juicy, moist meat definitely matters too, but when I buy a grip of fried chicken, I eat all the skin off every piece in the first sitting and leave the meat for another meal. Today I had a KF-skin craving. I spent an hour trying to map out the closest fried chicken joint and found that this one isn’t listed on Unilocal. It’s located on La Cienega south of Jefferson, across from Target, next to Carl’s Junior, and an exhale before you floor it onto the freeway-ish part of La Cienega on your way to the airport. *Quick tip* If you’re too chicken like me to cross 3 lanes out of the parking lot to make a left back to West LA, be ready to make a 1.6 mile detour going towards LAX and U-ing back. There is no U-turn starting from your first right turn out of the lot until you get to Kenneth Hahn park and everyone is flying at least 55 mph. LFFC&S has adequate parking. I went at dinner time and it was a little busy. I had to wait 10 minutes to get my chicken but this is good, because the chicken I got was freshly fried and piping hot instead of being under a heat lamp for hours. I ordered the 12-piece Chicken Only for $ 12.99(3 Breasts, 3 Thighs, 3 Legs and 3 Wings). That’s some kinky chicken, eh? None of the sides seemed interesting(cole slaw, macaroni salad, mashed potatoes w/gravy, spicy rice, fried rice, french fries), and neither do rolls. I would have been curious about their special off-menu Red Bean and Rice, but they were out. The LF-skin on this chicken was pretty good. Not as battered and voluminous as the KFC Extra Crispy skin, but it has a good kick and flavor. I can’t remember how Honey’s Kettle fared but there was enough crunch on the skin to be worth the clogged arteries. I can’t compare LFF to Roscoe’s or Kyochon/Bonchon/Chicken Day because they are in different classes. Service was friendly through bullet-proof glass. Besides chicken, they also serve fried shrimp, fried fish, gumbo and Strawberry Lemonade and Thai iced-T. Would I ever order that? No, the sign says Louisiana Famous Fried Chicken so I’ll stick with the Chicken Only. They also have dark-meat specials. I’ll have to first check with the mister to see if he’s down wit dat. Their menu goes as high up as 100 pieces of chicken for $ 90.99 but you better call ahead. They also do hot wings, nuggets and breast strips. There’s a restroom; table and chairs and free parking; the southeast asian dream team was polite; they gave me correct change and the correct number of pieces; the fried chicken was hot and crispy and tasted good, so it comes out to 4 stars: «Yay, I am a fan.»
