I highly recommend Lotus on the Nile. The ambiance is great and the staff are consistently friendly. If you’re looking for an affordable and relaxing massage make an appointment with Zelma. I’ve seen her about 3 times and I’ll definitely be going back.

I’ve had acupuncture and massage treatments, endured a couple of yoga classes, sipped on tea, swooned to amazing music and even hosted a private family gathering at this space. This place has it all. When you have a true gem like this in the«urban» community that is about improving the lives that live within it, we should support it. They’re professional, well-maintained and just all around fun.

Lotus on the Nile also has yoga classes?! Not only is Kali an excellent acupuncturist she is a WONDERFUL yoga instructor. Kali is playful, warm spirited, can articulate the postures like non other, a great guide. I have learned SO much. Every tuesday night 7 pm. I’ll be there! U should be too! O also this a beautiful facility!

The first time I met Kali Alexandre, owner, Acupuncturist and yoga instructor, I fell in love with her and her purpose. This is an excellent studio that brings the community together to share the wealth of life gifts. The studio is located in a predominately African-American middle class neighborhood, where yoga, healthy eating and environmentally consciousness is contagious. There are many different types of classes offered by a diverse teaching core. You can find gentle yoga every Monday, Wednesday and Friday taught by Adrienne, and older lady with lots of energy and great humor, Yogilates — a combination of Yoga and Pilates– Saturday morning, followed by Bilingual Yoga –in Spanish and English for those that are learning either, Iyengar-inspired yoga, and many more classes that suit everyones likes and needs. Yoga is a way of life, and that is what Lotus on the Nile teaches. Come and join this studio and feel part of a movement for a healthier world.

This is a great space with incredibly positive energy. Kali is an amazing acupuncturist, and I truly enjoy all the yoga classes that I have attended. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a yoga class, acupuncture, or herbal treatments.

I love this place! I traveled out of the country this summer and came back a mess. Kali, acupuncturist and all around kick ass person, brought me back from the dead. They have so much going on there. There’s just a good vibe in the place, you can’t help but to feel energized. They offer acupuncture, herbal treatments, tea bar, yoga classes, African dance classes, and meditation in the morning. On Saturday nights they have an event called Temple of Sol. Its an alternative to the club scene. There’s a DJ, dancing, domino’s, great company.
