I was in the mood for some al pastor so I stopped by and ordered 2 al pastor tacos and a chicken quesadilla. I thought the al pastor was pretty tasteless and they don’t give you pineapple unless you ask. The chicken in the quesadilla was a weirdly soggy, shredded texture which I didn’t like. They were also out of salsa when I was there, and I got 2 chorizo tacos that I didn’t order lol. My experience here was just all over the place so I definitely don’t recommend. I used to love coming here! The tacos Al Pastor are the best. And the Cuban torta is really good too. I used to get the carne asada burrito, but it seems like the quality of carne asada isn’t as good as it used to be. More fat than meat. The horchata is really good. I did get some onion and cilantro that tasted sour before like it had gone bad. Ever since then I haven’t been back.

TAKES1st place in Taco Trucks in Los Angeles. The food here is amazing. They have Tortas, Tacos, Burritos, Sopes, and Quesadillas. They also have variety of meats from el pastor to asada or chicken. It’s situated in the parking lot of a Shell gas station. Parking can be difficult especially if it is busy. The area is ok, you might come across a homeless person or two asking for change. The taste of their tacos de asada keeps me coming back for more. I consider myself a Taco taste expert and this place takes 1st place by a landslide.

Decent ! The strawberry and cream lady ! Across are nasty nasty !!! Far from sanitary !!! Handle money and dessert at the same time without properly using gloves or washing hands ! Saw the chick last time nastily scratch her nose and handle the strawberries too ! Yuck

The first stop for Taco Run ’16. Thanks to my friend Jimmy, he suggested coming here for their pastor and it did not disappoint. I wanted to try all their other wares, but considering we have numerous stops, I didn’t want to ruin my appetite by devouring more than I should. Just located off the 110 freeway, in the same parking lot as the Ross, parking can be tricky at peak hours(when the Ross is open + dinner times). I would go here prior to the clubs letting out, but right the Ross has closed. The pastor is served right off the spit and flavored perfectly. I also liked the texture as it isn’t chopped up to the point you can barely tell it is some delicious bits of swine. The only aqua frescha they offered the night of my visit was just horchata which wasn’t too sweet, but felt like it could have been a mix. Thanks for the suggestion Jimmy and I already am drooling about getting more pastor tacos.

I’m a taco enthusiast & this taco truck is the BEST taco truck in LA. The tacos are delicious & authentic. Their tortillas are hand made and fresh out of the comal(pan).

Okay. Best Taco Truck Ever. Sure you can get tacos for a dollar elsewhere, but they’ll be tiny and use store-bought tortillas. Here, for not that much more, you get great tacos with a generous amount of meat and what looks like HOMEMADE tortillas! Every bite was chock full of carne asada.(Their al pastor was also good.) They leave the condiments out so you can get as much onions, salsa, limes, cilantro, etc. as your heart(or stomach) wants. If you’re eating to-go(as I did), the tacos are wrapped in aluminum foil to keep them warm. Plus there’s free parking– what more can you ask for?

= TACORUNSTOP1 = The place we wanted to go to originally was actually closed(at 6? on a Saturday?), but I was more than happy that this alternative popped up. It’s in the same parking lot as Ross, so there is plenty of parking available. I was sold the moment I saw them making the tortillas by hand and cutting off al pastor from the spit. Taco prices(or any prices) are not written anywhere, but they are $ 1.50 per taco. Not the cheapest taco truck, but I think it’s worth it. Since I was planning on getting tacos at many more places later that night, I just tried one ALPASTORTACO. It was made very quickly, but you have to pay extra attention if you don’t speak Spanish when they’re calling out the numbers. It was just as good as I thought it was going to be! The meat is juicy and delicious, but the fresh tortilla was what really made it for me. Condiments are in tubs set up on a table and they have all the usual suspects, nothing special. If you are still feeling peckish afterwards, another van was set up nearby offering some sweet treats. I can confidently recommend their Al Pastor Taco! It’s a lot closer to me than Leo’s, so I don’t mind spending that extra $.50. Food: 5, Service: 3, Environment: 2, Price: 3

Whenever anyone mentions tacos, this is what I think of. Yes there is a price hike and it is now $ 1.50 a taco. But I’ve come here starving after a workout, and the most I can stuff my face with is 6 of them. Not a bad deal. Carnitas are the bomb here. Al pastor is also good. If you’re extra hungry, get the $ 5 burrito with meat of your choice. It’s the size of a giant, overstuffed chipotle burrito, and I guarantee it will taste better. Sometimes they have cooked onions and beans outside in a pot. Most recent visit on a Friday evening they did not. Cilantro, onions, and 3 different types of salsas are provided along with radishes and lime wedges. Cash only, price includes tax. Been here too many times to count, but never gotten sick, which is saying a lot for eating with my hands on the hood of my car.

Muy delicioso! The meat is flavorful, tortillas made fresh and horchata tastes homemade. $ 1.50 is not expensive. If you don’t like it go to El Huero on Figueroa

This might not be the most glamorous stand in the city, you might see working girls walking down Figueroa, houses with roofs falling apart in front, that and the 110 ramps, that is your panoramic view if you stop by. Now leaving those things on the side, this is one of the best taco stands in the whole LA County, that’s right, I’m a foodie, and I’ve been around town. OK let’s start, they got complementary beans, halved grilled onions, chopped onion and cilantro and the standard red, and green salsa. The al pastor tacos are one the best on its kind, they come with optional grilled pineapple, and that pineapple in your taco, that my friend, is happiness right there. Once again an amazing taco stand in Los Angeles!

Every legitimate Taco truck I have been to, either in LA or in another city, have 1.25 tacos or cheaper. These guys are making you pay 1.50… for 1 taco? Not only is the price way expensive… but the tacos. lets admit it, are just normal street tacos. I know… I know the customer experience and how they treat customers, it’s not that great. So you’re making me and everyone else pay 25 cents more for this? Let me explain. I can understand the reason WHY so many people love this place. It’s because it’s right next to the freeway, close to USC campus and most of the people that come through here are either drunk, on drugs, or coming out after a party, me included. First things first, These tacos are good tacos and they taste great, but they’re normal tacos everyone. I’ve had amazing tacos that have tasted just the same in a different part of LA or in a different city that have added more things you can place on the taco than this joint. There’s no reason for the owners to jack up the price of 1 taco for a normal tasting taco, esp since the business is doing extremely well. The place is packed on weekends… so let me do this for you. Let’s put this in perspective. You’re drunk after a party, bar, club, etc. and you have 10 dollars to spend… $ 10 dollars at little caesars pizza? — 2 large pizza’s(cheese or pepperoni) $ 10 dollars at McDonalds? — 4 mcdoubles, a large fry, and a large drink $ 10 dollars at TACOBELL — 6 dollar box(includes desert, drink, 3 choices tacos and burriots) and ~ 2 taco supremes $ 10 dollars at Jack in the box? — 20 Jack in the box tacos $ 10 dollars at Yoshinoya? — 1 Large combo box and beef bowl $ 10 dollars at Pizzahut? — The 10 dollar dinner box(1 full pizza, 5 bread sticks, and cinnamon sticks for desert) $ 10 dollars at In N Out? — 2 double doubles, fry, and a small drink $ 10 dollars at Carl’s/Hardies? 2 double western bacon cheeseburgers and a meal with drink $ 10 dollars at the taco stand by my university in Hollywood? — 8 bomb street tacos with all the sauces, cilantro, salsa, etc… and… $ 10 dollars at this taco stand??? 6… regular sized normal tacos… You know… the 1 taco that’s barely the size of the palm of your hand? You know the taco that comes out with only meat and 2 tortillas? OH yeah… that one!(with whatever choice of meat you choose, I think other meats on the menu can make this taco even more expensive than it should be!) 6 tacos! This still baffles me! How can the owners of this taco truck live their lives… KNOWING they’re taking money from their community. There are homeless people consistently asking for food around this area and they have balls to increase the price of the taco by 25 cents?! FORNORMALDRUNKTACOS… THATTASTE… LIKETACOS, you are OVERPAYING for these normal TACOS even if it’s 25 cents more AND they have a tip jar! Well you can say this… «well hey… I’m going here because of the tacos and they are legit and it’s fresh meat, and they cook it like they cook it at home… it’s authentic!» really?! Then go to a legit Mexican RESTAURANT, find a place on Unilocal that will give you that experience for the price that’s reasonable, if you want authenticity or the experience. If that’s your reasoning to go to this taco truck for authenticity, then I mean… man… I dunno what to say, because this place is a rip off and is only doing it more for the money, and I severely look down franchises that practice this business. — Back in high school, I had an LBJ(El burrito junior) that was AMAZING and pretty much after class everyone flooded to LBJ cause the price was right and it was delicious. Once the high schoolers’ started making it a consistent thing, they increased the normal price on us but a dollar. The LBJ quickly lost business because we decided to boycott them for increasing the price. I think they forgot the reason why we went to their restaurant in the first place, it was not just because of the food… It was because of how fair the price was! Same goes for this place. Boycott this truck until they drop the price back to the way it was originally, or make these tacos worth the extra 25 cents because currently, these tacos need that extra chip on the shoulder cause the last tacos I had here… where bland and not the expectations that they should be for 1.50. Los Carnales taco truck business is extracting money from its customers only for their own benefit and not to its community. It’s a shame when homeless people are starving in an area where a taco truck is striving and making loads of money and making their loyal customers pay more than they should be.

Amazing tacos still … But now all tacos are $ 1.50!!! Boo for the price hike. While I’m on the cons, the people here are NOT friendly. Fast, yes. Efficient, yes. Happy, no. I’ve been coming here 4−8times a month for almost a year now and they still have never said«hi» or smiled or any words other than«next» or «for here or to go»(no smile) or calling numbers. Not that I expect service with a taco truck, but I’m a serious regular. Give me SOME personality. It’d prob make me come back more often or buy more tacos per trip. The order taker is usually a rotation between 3guys. … German’s on MLK might be seeing me a whole lot more… They’re awesome peoples over there Anyway, reviewing food, I love the tacos here. Asada is bomb. Al pastor — bomb. Buche — delish. Cabeza — a ok, it’s the pulled apart stringy kind not the chunks kind. Burritos are packed with meat — not sure if price has upped from $ 5
