Good place to come with friends to have a fun night! George the stripper was the best though… does anyone know where he went to?

AWESOMESPOT to hit up on a Friday night! My g-friends and I always have a blast here. A complimentary VIP pass gets you in for free on Fridays before 9pm and Saturdays before 10pm. Otherwise the fee is $ 15(cash only) Great performers and wonderful attentive staff. There’s even a stripper that performs after every show. First show at 10:45pm second show at 12:45am. Great music performed by a live band. Any seat you get, gives you full view of the stage performers. **Drinks are expensive though** OVERALL, really satisfied!

I live really close to this club and drive by it every day. My uncle had also mentioned that this spot had a drag show so that piqued my curiosity. Flash forward to Halloween where an angel and a pirate enter this fluorescent establishment. We had our«free passes before 10 p.m.» printed. We were 1 minute late so the bouncer begrudgingly let us in free after some coaxing(c’mon! we’ll buy drinks). This place is straight up Mexican. While I felt out of my element, I was glad that I represent the tanner part of the Asian community. We cracked up at how long it took us to figure out that… errr…no habla ingles. So hint #1 was our non-English passes. Hint #2 was the bouncer who addressed us in Spanish. Hint #3 the music. When you’re in good company, you’ll have a good time. The live band was good and we danced to a couple of songs before the show. The show was interesting though we didn’t stay for all of it. We only recognized Selena — this is even with my BFF being Mexican. As other Unilocalers noted, drinks were pricey but I believe they charge more to recoup the money from their«free cover» promo. If you don’t dance, you can always people watch. Some of the patrons were older and fabulous. There was this older woman who got her groove on while wearing platform heels, pleather pants, and a hot pink tank top. Remind me to be just as fabulous when I’m 60. We were seated next to a few lesbian couples who seemed like regulars so I’d say this place gets a fair amount of business from the gay community. Play it smart by printing your passes, going before 10, and staying for the 10:45 show. Plenty of street parking on Cypress and Division. Also, you’ll probably be hungry from dancing, so I recommend hitting up the taco truck outside afterwards.

This place is awesome! From dancing to having 2 shows of entertainment. Went here on my birthday with 8 other ladies. Made reservations the night before and went in for free with the«VIP» pass if used before 10pm. The live band played a variety of spanish music which kept people dancing and on their feet! The only negative and the reason for no 5 Stars is the overpriced drinks as well as the water! $ 6 for a small water bottle that can be drank in one gulp?!! Thats insane! The waiters were attentive and nice. Overall it was a fun fun night! I would recommend if your open to a different type of entertainment and in the area. But pre-drink before ;)

Los Candiles is a family-owned bar that has been there for so many years. It is great place for dancing, drinking, and having a little fun with friends. The majority of the crowd is hispanic, and so is the theme, but everyone can enjoy the ambience and show here.

Ok, Fri and Sat nights has latin music — a little salsa but mostly cumbias and a live band. It’s a cozy little place. The drag show is really cool — covers of latin artisits and the guy that does Enrique Iglesias does a really good job. Plus there is one drag artist that can come close to passing for a voluptuous latina… if one didn’t know any better. Then there is the one man male stripper show — he looks like Brendan Fraser… my wife really likes him… The only downer is the drinks are really expensive and light on alcohol(watered down).

It was definitely a night to remember. My first clue should have been that they describe their own show as a travesty here on Unilocal. I came with a group of friends on a Friday night, and because our pre-func drinking took a little too long, by the time we arrived it was too late to use the passes we had printed from their [hilarious] website for free admission before 10:00. But the woman at the door kindly gave us a discount, allowing two of the seven in our group in for free. The rest of us paid the $ 15 cover charge, which seemed a little steep. The host seated us at a table near the dance floor and stage, which was filled with people dancing. We soon learned that the $ 6 cans of Tecate and bottled water could only be paid for in cash. Fortunately, there was an ATM at the store around the corner. And while they will gladly bring you a bucket of beers, it costs exactly the same amount as if you purchase them individually. But people don’t come to Los Candiles for the drink deals, they come to dance and for the show, which started promptly at 10:45. The show included several acts and lasted about an hour. There were drag queens and back up dancers, some better than others. There was an exceptional Ricky Martin. But the part none of us will ever forget, and that had our jaws on the floor, was the male stripper. Well, he didn’t actually take off much, save for dropping his pants enough to reveal his underwear, which fully exposed his cheeks. His routine started out innocently enough, giving a little lap dance action to women in the audience, but soon got raunchier and raunchier. By the end of the routine, he had a woman in a chair center stage, was bumping and grinding on her from all directions, and even placed her hand in his pants. After the show was over, we all had a great time dancing. We didn’t stay for the 12:45 show, which I can imagine was probably spicier than the earlier one. What else? My friend left her wallet in the bathroom and the same woman from the door kindly found and returned it. Los Candiles is a fun place to go dancing and get some serious entertainment, but if you go, bring cash!
