Los Angeles Garden Club

If you have a green thumb and want to join your local community of fellow gardening enthusiasts, then hook up with the LA Garden Club.
The LA Garden Club is part of a larger network of clubs under the umbrella of the California Garden Clubs. The consist of local clubs from the San Francisco Bay Area all the way down to San Diego.
I joined the LA Chapter about a year ago. Most of the members consist of little old ladies, so if you are in your 20’s or 30’s, you will probably stick out. But that’s okay because the other members will treat you well. In the LA Club monthly meetings, they always offer baked goods and treats for just $ 1 donation.
The meetings usually consist of a featured guest speaker, followed by a plant/​flower display and possibly some plants for sales. Many of the members will also bring cuttings from their garden and offer them for free for others to propagate.
The club will also organize events like a visit to the Getty Villa in April, or a tour of local gardens during late spring time/​early summer.
