I was on vacation in Los Angeles, and was allured into the store by a salesman(petite gay man originally from Israel). He stated out by offering me a couple of samples, and proceeded to insist in showing me one of this products. He seemed so charming that I went with it. Upon trying to sell me the product, and me letting him know I wash’t interested, he became very rude and was very offensive. Indicating that I should then ago and spend my money on botox and fillers, which looked terrible and artificial. Wow, I don’t even have any of that! Pretty bad«bed-side» manners. Stay away from him!

This review is for the entire company of L’Occitane. They have betrayed their loyal customers and are NOLONGER A CRUELTY-FREECOMPANY! It’s profit over principle. They are now doing major business with China which mandates testing all cosmetic products on animals. That’s like knowingly selling computers to a child pornographer. I wrote the company a letter expressing my astonishment and they basically said F.U. by sending the stock reply. I am so disappointed, I can not even articulate it. I have visited the factory in Manosque, France twice and have been a loyal customer due to their superior products and philosophy. That is all down the toilet for me now. I returned all of my products for a refund. I am still devastated. I wondered for a few months why they no longer printed the«leaping bunny» logo on their packaging. There is always a reason. So sad. So disappointed. I’m sticking with the small, mom-and-pop vegan companies from now on. It’s inevitable that once a company gets too large, they WILL sell out their souls for the almighty dollar.

I’ve come in here a couple times before to look at their products but never really felt like a welcoming environment. If anything I rather go to the Body Shop since I just LOVE their customer service over there.

I’ve been to a few L’Occitane locations and was very glad I landed to this one! I usually go to the one in Brea since it’s closer to my home, but they are pretty much completely out of the Rose line which is one of my favorites. This location has the Rose lotion, hand cream and perfume! I no longer need to stock up in NYC or wait for it to be available online. Very excited! The CA stores are much smaller than the NY stores in general. But if it has what I need, which is usually just hand cream, lotions, etc., it wouldn’t be a problem for me. I’m excited to continue to try out their shea butter and lavender line. It’s made with natural ingredients and organic. A little goes a long way so it’s worth the money! I gave a mini hand cream to my best friend and co worker and they loved it! They also came out with a honey one which is available in Sephora, but I have not seen it in stores yet.

Doesn’t seem that bad to me. Has the full aftershave and cologne line, which is all I really care about. Unless sales people are overly rude it doesn’t bother me, and I wasn’t catching any heat from the girl at the register. Check it out if it’s a convenient location and you need some L’Occitane goods.

I’m less than crazy about this location. It has a good selection, standard I think, but the employees are all over the place in terms of professionalism. One of their guys, who seems to almost ALWAYS be there, is very hovery and pushy. He’ll always question my choices when I approach the register. I’m sorry, don’t you WANT me to purchase this stuff from you? Then there’s the this-job-bites girl. I’ve interacted with her only once, but seen her in there on a couple of other occasions. Getting a response to a simple«where is the ________» question is like pulling teeth. She really does not like working there. Other than that, it’s a standard L’Occitane… nothing else to report.

Before I begin, it’s pronounced«lox– ee– tahn» and references an area in Southern France. This has to be the most underrated product in LA. It’s a collection of all natural European Bath & Body products created in 1976 that you’ll occasionally find in popular women’s magazines but no ever seems to rave about it. My favorite is the Shea Butter line. I’m an instant fan of anything made with natural ingredients, is organic and supports fair trade(Burkina Faso, Africa) Not that fair trade has anything directly to do with me but I think it’s admirable that having a reciprocal business relationship is a value to the companies that take resources from foreign land.
