This place is a true hidden gem, literally hidden! Thanks to the Unilocal spinning ball I barely found this place behind the bakery. This place is literally inside the market, not in the market food court. I love how affordable yet fresh the sushi is, I got the 10 pc salmon sushi and california roll for about $ 13, how awesome is that!!! The salmon was definitely FRESH and delicious. The fish was not as fatty, no fishy smell and had a vibrant color. They accept credit cards and you get miso soup for every box you buy. I can’t wait to come back and try the other sushi boxes!

If you want fresh and ready when you want it, then for sure check this place out. I’ve never been disappointed, unless you get there after 3pm then it’s a hit or miss with whats left.

Cheappppp sushi that even comes with miso soup. Our sushi plates were only $ 6.25 each and you get about 6 nigiri pieces and 8 small roll pieces. 4 of them tuna and 4 of them cucumber(bummer). Still, that’s the best deal I’ve come across. The sushi quality is even comparable to Japanese markets like Marukai, Nijiya, and Mitsuwa. The only knock would be the tuna quality and the ginger slices were a bit weird. Other than that, a good place to get the most bang for your buck. Of all the places, good cheap sushi is in the Korean Woori market. Go figure!

Best sushi ever. Even though it was premade, the rice stayed tender and the fish was succulent. Yes. I’m thinking of a plant and tasting fish in my mouth. They are a bit generous with the rice in the pressed salmon thing(it looks like a super compressed nigiri with slices of lemon and clear kombu). But I have no complaints about the salmon roll. Simple. Delicious. Refreshing. And so cheap.

Super good supermarket sushi! The prices are very cheap for the quality of sushi that you get. My favorite item to get here is the salmon sushi rolls because the fish to rice ratio is 2:1 and is light enough to keep me out of a food coma. The workers/chefs are super nice here as well and will prepare any rolls that you want but are not currently on stock. All purchases come with a miso soup which is awesome, especially on cold days(which are rare but do occur in LA). Awesome place to come for lunch — and maybe buy extras for dinner.

Take a look at the other reviews and they basically say what I’m going to say — this«supermarket» sushi is anything but and just as good as you will get in a restaurant. To be precise, it’s their rolls that are particularly great — good variety and good prices. The actual sushi is ok. I tried it once and of the variety I got, the salmon was very good, buttery and tender, the other varieties, squid, shrimp and eel veering more to supermarket standard. Anyhow, the rolls are very well made — and of particular note for both them and the sushi — is the rice; tasty, freshly made, warmer rather than colder, tender unlike most supermarket sushi rice which is hard and more stale, generally. The ingredients contained are also delicious and fresh, the don’t have that pre-made quality so common generally. They also make battera sushi here — look it up — it’s quite unusual for LA. Enjoy!

I am a sushiholic. Now, if I was a big balla shot calla, that would be an addiction that I could have without much concern. However, being that my salary is that of a public servant… I got issues. Thanks to Little Tokyo Sushi, I can get my fix and still afford to pay my rent. Located in the Japanese Market(and opened at 8am) Little Tokyo Sushi is my go to spot at least once a week to grab some take out sushi to brighten up my day. My favorite — the salmon bowl, which has copped up salmon over sushi rice — is only available in the earlier hours and pairs great with some Korean nori as a great meal. Don’t worry though, all the choices are great and all come with a small miso soup, kept hot in a rice cooker. This is the best spot for me when I’m in a rush but still want a healthy hit of raw goodness.

I ended up finding this place when I was shopping for some seaweed at the market. They had a whole fridge of assorted sushi and rolls. I been cravings some California rolls for a while now and thought I’ll try it out. I was in a rush, so it was something good that I can just grab and go and wasn’t so greasy. I got 8 big California rolls for $ 4.75. The price wasn’t too bad and it tasted good. Everything tasted really fresh. I picked out what I wanted and went to pay. The cashier was super friendly. She asked if I wanted miso soup. I asked if I needed to pay for it, but she said its free. Awesome, rolls and miso soup. The miso soup was ok, but it was free so can’t say much. A little bit more on the salty side. The girl also asked if I needed validation too. I was like wow, this place just keep on giving. So, I ended up getting some yummy rolls, miso soup, and validation, I was one happy camper. I will be back and maybe try out some other things they have.

this is like my go to lunch spot on work days! they have cheap yummy sushi, it’s addicting! I come here once maybe even twice a week! the girls and ladies who work here are really nice and they VALIDATE! I’m a sucker for places with free parking! I’ve taken a bunch of friends and co-workers here and they all enjoyed it! everyone’s apprehensive at first and then they are really surprised at the quality of sushi for the extremely reasonable price! I really want to order their huge trays of sushi one day. yummmm!

Ditto to Chanel C’s review. I pop in here quite often for a bento box and never been steered wrong. Never a line like sushi restaurants nearby for lunch. Come before noon for largest variety. Comes with optional miso soup if you like. From $ 5 — $ 10. Just hits the spot for them busy or quiet days. Inside the Little Tokyo Marketplace. You can grab some fruits and veggies or do most of your shopping here at the same time. They Validate for the parking also. Another lunchtime option in Downtown.

This review is wayyyyyyy overdue. I come here probably once a week with my coworker and I’m obsessed. Located INSIDE Woori Market next to the bakery. Grab your sushi and snag a table at the food court and boom. Perfect, affordable lunch in Little Tokyo. They offer a variety of sushi… +spicy tuna bowls +chirashis +nigiri combos +nigiri + hand roll combos +mini salmon/tuna sushi rolls +specialty rolls +eel rice place + nigiri combo It always takes me at least 5 minutes to decide what I want that day because there’s so much to choose from. I love that they offer such a variety so I can eat here once a week without getting sick of it. All ranging from $ 4 — $ 12. The quality of the fish and rice is far from the typical market sushi. I’m impressed. Ooo and they give you free miso soup!

This place is as good as pre-packaged sushi bentos can get! No seriously, it’s PRETTYYYLEGIT. I know what you’re thinking, ‘Market-packaged sushi typically tastes like garbage.’ In most cases, I would totally agree but Little Tokyo Sushi is great. Come early in the day(before noon) and the sushi and rolls are really fresh! If you come later in the day, they run out of almost everything and it’s slim pickings. They make everything in the morning and don’t put out day-old bento boxes(at least to my knowledge). The quality of the fish is also really good. Not melt-in-your-mouth sashimi, but it’s a bang for your buck! I like to get the Spicy Tuna Bowl because it’s super filling and tasty. Little Tokyo Sushi is located inside Woori Market right by Bliss Bakery. They have their own check-out stand where you pay separately from the market. They also have their own validation stamp, so don’t forget to give them your parking ticket. Another great thing about this place is that they give you a small bowl of miso soup with every bento box. It’s lukewarm, but you can always pop it in the microwave(in the market) and heat it back up. Perfect for a quick, cheap, and tasty lunch. You can enjoy your bento box in the food court dining area! I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but I always pick up a quick bite when i’m grocery shopping at Woori, and this place never disappoints!

Of the all of the market place/mini mart/convenience store sushi purveyors, Little Tokyo Sushi is one of better quality sellers of sushi.(Yeah I’m talking to you too Famima!) Located inside Woori Market, between Bliss Bakery and the Yum Yum Counter, Little Tokyo Sushi offers several different already prepared bento style sushi to go boxes for the«I gotta eat lunch quick» folks like me — from the simple $ 4-$ 5 inari or pickled veggie or cucumber rolls, to $ 6-$ 8 chirashi bowls, makarel or tuna or salmon only sushis, or mixed nigiri and rolled sushis, to the $ 10 on up mixed nigiri sushis topped with more premium seafood like uni and amaebi and yellowtail. They have a lot of variations so I always peruse the offerings of the day to see what tickles my sushi fancy. My favorite thing about this little sushi pick up spot is you get a complimentary cuppa miso soup with your sushi bento. =) Yumma. While I haven’t tried it, they always advertise catering sized sushi platter for parties or office luncheons. Give’em a try if you’re in the Woori market area. They also take credit card as well, just in case you forgot your cash. And there’s two eating areas inside the market if you’ve time to sit down and eat lunch there, just watch out during lunch time as it gets packed. But if the weather’s nice, you can eat in their outside eating areas as well.
