4 stars for one specific dish, jalapeño shrimp with steamed rice. The jalapeño shrimp here is super fresh, perfectly cooked with just a nice light crispy coating, its not too spicy and has a perfect amount of heat to just give it a little kick. Its probably better than most shrimp dishes at all those nice restaurants in the San Gabriel area lol. I always get my pants tapered and hemmed next door at the dry-cleaners and was super lazy one day so I decided to give this place another try despite never liking it when my parents bought it when I was younger. My parents would never order something that’d actually take time to cook if they came to a place like this so I never would either, but I was fortunate enough to be adventurous one day and now I can have actually really good food 2 minutes away from my house. The dishes in the window aren’t that good, the orange chicken is acceptable if you eat it right away and are really craving orange chicken but I wouldn’t come here specifically for it. The vegetables don’t taste fresh but that might be the sauce they put on it. Service is okay, the ladies behind the counter try to smile and are polite. If you’re in the area i’d definitely recommend dropping by and trying the jalapeño shrimp.

This place is actually really good despite all the negative reviews. Their food is delicious and way cheaper than Panda Express. Tastes a lot better too. The customer service is really good. I’ve only been here twice but I’ve yet to find a grumpy employee. I would recommend this place for anyone near by. Food was super hot and they stack it! Orange chicken is a must!

You get a lot of food but it’s cold and hard. This was my second time trying it and the first time was much better, well the food was fresher.

The previous owner served more food and it was tastier, for a cheaper price. I went about a month ago, and their orange chicken was really dry. Oh, and they charge $ 1.75 for an Arizona.

It is inexpensive, yes… and portions are very large. The food just isn’t very good. Lunch options had been sitting out for awhile too. Won’t be returning.

Cheaper and tastier than Panda Express. You know how sometimes it feels like a self punishment when you eat Chinese fast food? This is more like a reward. The orange chicken is somehow both crunchy and moist. An you know how beef broccoli gets juuuust the right kind of soft and saucy? I’ve never had it wrong with this place. I followed the owners here from their first shop on Cesar E. Chavez. It’s got the same name: Little China Express. If you can, try the special dynasty shrimp: all crispy and tangy and what not. Only $ 9.

I’ve been craving some Chinese food but didn’t want to go all the way to the Panda Express in Alhambra so I decided to go here since it’s closer to my house. Bad choice. The rice and noodles were bad, the chicken in the orange had a color that was not natural. The only reason I gave it one star was because the beef and broccoli wasn’t that bad but would never go there again. You might as well go to a fast food place and get better quality food than here.
