Lisa’s Electrology Studio

Lisa is super professional and I love her clean, welcoming office. She answered all of my questions, I had a lot because I had done laser hair removal in the past but the hair kept growing back. Her treatment has been the only thing that is effective and permanent. I felt comfortable, well-​advised and cared for. I highly recommend Lisa!

Lisa is AMAZING! She is super gentle and really talks you through every step. I’ve been to others before and to be honest, no one has really taken the time to explain in detail the process of electrolysis like how she has.
On a side note, so glad to finally not have to wax any more! I’ve been a religious waxer from bikini wax to eyebrows. We have just about cleared up my eyebrows and upper lip and are moving to bikini next!

Lisa is a sweetheart. Completely punctual and professional as well. She explained to me everything I needed to know about electrolysis. Her office is very clean and bright… She took her time during the process and was very thorough. I look forward to my upcoming sessions with her!

Lisa is the BEST OF THE BEST. She is very experienced and knows what she is doing. She is friendly, compassionate about her job and starts you off with a thorough consultation so you know what to expect. Also she is VERY flexible. She really works with you when scheduling appointments and flexible about last minute changes or appointments. I was only going to have my chin hair removed but after the first treatment I was hooked, and now I am seeing her on a weekly basis to remove ALL my facial hair _​PERMENANTLY. Once you go to Lisa, you will wonder why you waited so long.

For the past couple of weeks, I have been treating at Lisa’s electrology studio to have some hair removed from a tattoo on my arm. I researched and visited several electrologist before choosing Lisa. I was concerned because the hairs were somewhat fine and tattoos can be tricky to work with — as the coloring obscures the hair follicle and if not done properly, there can be damage to the tattoo.
Without question — Lisa is GREAT.
She took the time to explain the process and was very patient with me. Her studio is super clean and comfortable. It’s also very private — which was key for me.
Lisa worked very efficiently. The tattoo goes around my bicep area — and the underneath section was very sensitive and tender. Lisa quickly worked to find the optimal settings on her machine that would remove the hair and be as painless as possible. Lisa was very clear that electrolysis is not a painless procedure but she would work to find the best settings for me that would accomplish the goal (hair removal) but was comfortable.
Lisa was also made sure that I understood the proper steps to clean the area and what to expect in the days that followed the treatment.
Overall, it was a great experience. I could not be happier. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone that is considering hair removal.

I had a total of 3 hours worth of electrolysis with Lisa. She is nice and polite but she does not listen and thinks she knows your pain level better than you.
For example, I told her that it hurt and she said «really? you seem to be handling well» and continued exactly where it was hurting.
I am not sure why she thought I would lie about that. I don’t know what a client needs to do for her to understand that they are in pain. Did she expect me to scream when it hurt? Wiggle all over the table when there’s a needle poking through my skin? Cry?
One other time the pain was unbearable and I asked her to try another spot; she did and I said relieved «it doesn’t hurt!» and she replied «good. ok, let’s continue where we were.»
The last time I went there it was the worst: she kept holding my skin tight and not letting go, even when the needle was not going in. 25 minutes one spot, 15 minutes the other spot. Those 2 spots did not heal as the rest of my skin and the color changed. So I ended up with hyperpigmentation and, as bizarre as it sounds, wrinkly skin only on those 2 spots. I would say they are about an inch in diameter. Not pretty.
Thanks to a lot of vitamin E, it healed a bit, but for the first two months everyone could see something off on my face. The color of the spots are slowly blending with my skin color, and those spots don’t feel wrinkly anymore, although the texture is still not 100% the same as the rest of my skin. I wear sunscreen everyday to prevent them getting worse.
It has been 4 months since I last went to her studio. I am still upset about having those spots on my face. I took a while to write this review because I wanted to write after the spots disappeared, but it seems that it will take a while.
Every single time I had a session, it would take 3+ days for my skin to fully heal, meaning any pimples or scars gone. It was painful even with a numbing cream. I found a groupon for another electrologist, tried her and she has been GREAT to me and my skin. She asks questions, makes sure I am not in pain, her machine is much less painful than whatever Lisa uses, stops and changes «spots» if one hurts and best of all, there’s no downtime, meaning, I can go out at the same night I had the session because there are no scars or pimples to heal! I am much, much happier.

I found Lisa’s studio off of a groupon deal that I couldn’t pass up. I have been to other Electrolysis studios but have been disappointed. After a previous disappointing experience this year, I finally hit the jackpot. Lisa is down to earth and good at her job. She is very knowledgeable & will patiently answer all your questions/​concerns making you feel at ease. She is located in a beautiful location in a large quiet private room, very clean and sterile. Her prices are very reasonable, I will definitely be back on a regular basis.

If I could give Lisa TEN stars, I would!!! She’s a total pro! and really nice, too. She made me very comfortable by explaining the entire process and how it works. She showed me that her needles ARE NEVER REUSED! brand new in the package, even the covering on the table is tossed out and replaced after each customer. I was happy to see she’s a freak about cleanliness.
I had a groupon, and we all know that some businesses treat groupon clients as «less than», but not Lisa. She returned my phone calls within an hour, she moved her schedule around to accommodate me… she even gave me some extra minutes at the end of the session to finish up. Her regular price is very affordable.
I had some nasty black hairs coming out of my chin, and also a little «mustache» (not attractive on a woman!). I would never use laser on my face, so decided to try electrolysis, but this was my first time. Lisa continually asked me how I was doing and made sure that I knew I could ask her to stop at any time. I found it not that painful. On my chin, I could’ve taken a nap! it was so comfortable, but upper lip, under my nose was a little sensitive, and Lisa was great at making the process less «stingy».
I’m a stickler for «unprofessionalism» as you can tell by some of my other reviews, I want commend Lisa for going above and beyond!
