Super dark atmosphere,$ 9 medium drinks, $ 12 regular drinks, quality of drinks: great and tasty.

This is one of those secret, divey, dim(okay almost pitch black) places that would thrive even without Unilocal. It’s a neighborhood place. The drinks contain a little extra splash of alcohol and the vibe is chill. The music can get loud but it’s a bar. I’d take someone from out of town here for drinks if cocktails were their thing. Happy libations!

Love this joint! Quaint, dark, classy, great service, and we LOVE the black and white burlesque films projected on the wall.

The darkest bar in LA. Take ugly dates here ;) Usually showing a 60’s boob porn on the wall. Hilarious spot.

Dark. Upbeat. Masterfully tended. Clean in spite of a phantom grittiness. Populated by charged up patrons. I enjoyed this spot immensely. In my two visits thus far, I have seen projected on to a wall both Christmas classics, and pre-80’s erotica. These are projected silently, and offers just the right visual stimulus to offset the darkness. Musical choices are generally pretty great. Mostly diverock, real punk, funk, and their ilk. No pop or edm yet(in my limited experience). The crowd is largely 30 – 45 range, with a peppering of the older and younger thrown in. I mentioned masterfully tended. I mean it. I am majorly impressed by the mixing and service level of the tenders I witnessed. This is reflected by the group of regulars I’ve seen here so far. They are fiercely loyal to this spot, which is pretty awesome. Willfully gritty, Liquid Kitty!

I haven’t been here in years and the place has barely changed. The classiest dive bar EVER. It’s dark and The drinks are great. I have had many great moments here. I moved to Chicago, finally came back home to Cali and am so happy to see nothing has changed here. Except for my favorite drink, «bitches brew» was off the drink menu… the bartenders kick ass and made it for me from memory! Did I mention that I love this place!!!

Bartenders are fun and friendly. They have a great dark dive bar feel but it’s still classy. Great menu of deinks and whiskey selections. Old vintage burlesque movies projecting on the wall… NICEEE! Music is a great mix of 80’s and modern. All around great bar will most definitely be a repeat patron!!!

Super cool dive bar. Damien — spelling? — was really engaging and fun. The drinks are sting and quite a varied menu. I wish music played a little earlier, although live music and good DJ after 10.

Love this place. The drinks are usually pretty strong and most of them are exclusive to the kitty. it is pretty dark inside and kind of gives off a 50s era feel. It has a lot of charm, a good atmosphere and really good drinks. what else can you want from a bar?

Hmmm, what can one say about Liquid Kitty? It’s dark. It’s divey. It’s an experience. This place truly is the prototypical«dive bar». We were worried about sticking to the carpet on the floor. Odd strings of lights around the bar. They somehow maintain a truly unique odor. Reminded me a bit of the French Quarter in NOLA. The drinks are STRONG. No complaints. Just be warned. Get a DD or call Über, because you spend much time in here and you have no business driving home! As for the«porn» on the wall, come on guys, it’s ‘60s stag films. More entertaining than arousing. If you get turned on(or scandalized) by the films they are showing, you must not be from LA!

Trying a new review format here, so bear with me through these unfortunate but necessary growing pains: Shockingly dark and unabashedly a dive bar — despite the semi-Westside pricing — Liquid Kitty takes itself seriously enough but has fun too… like your high school Pre-calculus teacher who would always tell you to shut up when you were goofing off in class but you could tell was stifling a hearty laugh behind her steely façade. Pro tip: Get the martini that comes with the unfiltered camel cigarette. If you’re going to sin, at least do it efficiently. *Baby Jesus crying*

I love this bar. It’s a really small neighborhood bar but the crowd is cool and the bar tender is absolutely amazing. I think he can make just about any drink there is. Another great aspect of this bar is that a taco stand stops right in front of it. This is the type of bar that you can stay at all day and all night. Seriously…

This is a really underrated bar on the west side. I like that it’s more like a lounge than a crazy bar, although it does get loud with music occasionally. Drinks are not super expensive like they are in places like downtown LA, and they don’t skimp on alcohol. I got an Old Fashioned here, and it had a good amount of alcohol. One thing I don’t like about this place is how dark it is. Seriously, pretty much pitch black. At least light some candles or dim the lights a little bit!

I came in here to celebrate a friend’s birthday on a Saturday night. To say the scene was one I won’t forget is a bit of an understatement. For starters, there’s what everyone has pointed out on here. 70s nudie movies playing on a projector screen. Definitely a little odd. There was also a DJ spinning a nice mashup of 70s dance music. To be honest, the whole place had the feel of a disco era hangout. Which is a welcomed change if you’re tired of the same rehashed top 40 DJs with cheap lighting and fog machines. The drinks were extremely strong(pours so generous, I had to switch to beer after two drinks!). And there was a large hot dog stand set up right outside to cure your liquor induced hunger pains. So why only three stars? Because the place was rather dirty and understaffed. I know it’s a dive bar, but it’s hard to ignore tables and glasses that haven’t been cleared in over an hour. Not to mention the twenty minute wait for a beer at the bar. It’s also VERY dark. Which makes it hard to see the raised black flooring and equally black bar stools that caused me to trip a few times. Overall, it’s a cool hang. And with some small improvements it could be GREAT!

This place is dark and I think during one day in the week, it’s kind of a strip joint, at least that’s what a young colleague relayed to me. We old farts only stopped by one Saturday because I wanted to show the hubster where I used to hang when I was young and stupid and liked getting stupid-wasted(we were at The Arsenal a few doors down). Otherwise, it’s so dark I can only imagine the unspeakable things folks do to each other here. And I bet the bartenders can get away with watering down because by the time you get here, it’s your third stop and you really don’t care what you drink. Yeah, it’s THAT place. Cool but a little scary too. It’s scary cool. And did I mention, dark?

Definitive dive of worthiness. Met friends here for a casual birthday gathering — a fine way to meet others who’ve probably not yet been here, either. Drink menu will make you smile with some clever cultural allusions(I ordered an ‘Almost Blue,’ and got happy). ITISLOUD at times, though. Music so big that you’re forced to get close to people in order to communicate.(Hmm. Not such a bad thing.) Yes, the soft porn still plays in the background, and amuses — even prompts some quirky small talk. It is also very dark here — so it may take a minute before you can even see where you’re going. Still, it’s a likable joint that deserves a visit. I’d definitely go back.
